It seems like wherever there are antiques, you will find murder. Well written with likeable and fun characters, and a quick storyline to keep it interesting and entertaining.

Dysfunctionality at its finest!
I think this is my favorite (so far) in this delightful series.
Aunt Ginny and Poppy run a B&B. They never know what sort of guests they will have.
This week the assortment is a doozy.
Poppy is also getting to know her neighbors and the family of one of Aunt Ginny's dowager tribe.

As you can tell from the title, antiques are a theme, and they play many roles in this book.
Suspicious noises, disappearances, and late night food deliveries also arise.
Could the B&B be haunted or is it just Poppy's bad luck following her around?
Several cats on the romantic prowl add many laughs. Poor Figaro.

Fast paced with zig zag twists and unexpected developments in every chapter!
If you enjoy laughing your way through a good murder mystery, this is the series to read.

I love the Poppy McAllister stories for many reasons. Author Klein’s comedic ability in describing scenes and tossing out one-liner’s with perfect timing is awesome! Laughing-out-loud relaxes me even more as I’m reading. I love Poppy and Gia. She finally got her man, and he’s a great guy. The colorful cast of supporting main characters—Aunt Ginny and the old biddies—are like a Golden Girls reunion! A lot of fun and mischief! The murder mystery plot is compelling and really had me going as to who the real killer would be. Every time I’d guess, I’d be wrong. The suspects were a myriad of dysfunctional characters and as their flaws and misdeeds were slowly revealed it became clearer as to who had sold out whom. I highly recommend this cozy mystery for it’s clever plot, fantastic cast, great bed and breakfast setting, and lots of humor!

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Kensington Publishing. All opinions are my own. Thank you.

"Why am I always surrounded by chaos?"

Given the characters, and I do mean characters, who surround her, it's no wonder main character Poppy McAllister wonders this to herself at one point. Between her family, friends, and the eccentric bunch of guests that seem to show up at her B & B, she seems caught in the middle of chaos and confusion. Something is always going on, whether work related, like the mysterious middle of the night fire alarm or disappearing goodies for the guests, or with her employee looking like something of an Egyptian mummy due to a bad sunburn, or her boyfriend's mother's mysterious quest to keep them apart. Oh, and then there's that mysterious reappearing voodoo troll doll. Given the author's ability to make the chaos about Poppy come to life in our minds, I gave up trying to make sense of it all initially and just enjoyed the plot's ride.

The plot is relatively simple. Who killed Auggie and crammed his body into the armoire that Poppy had put a bid in on at the auction? The fact he's stabbed with a supposed vampire hunter's wooden stake somehow isn't the half of it. Poppy does have a way of being around when murders occur. What is surprising is that amidst all the confusion, twists and turns, and red herrings, not to mention the seance at the B & B, the reappearing troll doll, and the stuffed body left in the yard, is that Poppy manages to not just keep the B & B functioning but find time for both her boyfriend and investigation as well as her snark and sanity.

If you like your mysteries fast paced, quirky, and full of humor, this one is for you. One plot thread even adds a wisp of serious sadness to the book as we learn more about Poppy's own past. And, oh, yes. The cats. There's a feline love triangle of sorts that will have you chuckling. Give it a read.

Thank you #NetGalley and #KensingtonBooks for allowing me to catch up on Poppy's adventures.

What a super fun cozy mystery to read! There are so many funny, quirky characters involved in solving the murder mystery including but not limited it to Aunt Ginny and her friends. These characters will keep readers laughing while intrigued by the mystery investigation. The scenes with the cats are hilarious. B & B owner and amateur sleuth Poppy McAllister gets the mystery solved by asking questions and checking out clues. In the meantime her B & B guests who are super quirky are driving her crazy with their antics. This is a great addition to a fun cozy mystery series.

A perfect read for a time when a laugh out loud diversion is needed. Loved revisiting the “whack a doodle” characters in this series. Reminding us all families have issues with over-the-top characterizations helps me be a bit more tolerant of my own situation..

This is one of my very favorite series! Poppy and Aunt Ginny are hilarious. They honestly are the best team. Going to an auction to bid on a piece of furniture. To bad a body falls out of it. Honestly one of the best series.

Thank you #Netgalley for the advance reader copy of Antique Auctions Are Murder by Libby Klein in exchange for an honest review. Poppy McAllister runs a Bed and Breakfast in Cape May. This place allows cats to visit with Figaro, a male cat. So far four people and two female cats have checked in. There is an antiques, during which a man is found dead, Poppy finds out this has happened before. This book was quite odd and quirky. The writer has an odd sense of humor.

Wow, Poppy has a lot going on in her life, but finding herself in another murder investigation was not in her plans.
As owners of a quaint bed and breakfast, Poppy and her Aunt Ginny have their share of odd guests, and this time, these crazy guests will make you laugh out loud many times.
I'm enjoying the progress of Poppy's relationship with Gia, and it's sweet to see how much Henry loves her.
This is a fantastic series that I see myself reading again and again.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

OMG this book was such a delight to read. I had trouble putting it down. I have read all the books in this series and my only complaint is I wish Libby could write faster!

In this delightful adventure, Poppy is invited to a perfectly dreadful dinner party. The family owns an antique store and she is there to "keep the peace" between a family friend of her Aunt Ginny's and the friend's sister-in-law, who is as horrendous as her dinner party. Poppy becomes swept up in the family drama and when one of them is murdered, she starts asking questions.

The characters in these mysteries are amazing. Poppy is someone I would absolutely be friends with and I wish I had an Aunt Ginny, though I feel about the same as Poppy does about some of their antics. The best part in this one has to do with the voodoo doll someone sells Poppy to help her stop finding dead bodies. I had to put the book down at one point because I was laughing so hard.

I cannot wait for the next adventure in Poppy's journey. I do hope it comes out soon!

Life in Cape May couldn’t be any more interesting than Poppy McAllister’s life. Running a B&B with her eccentric aunt to save the family home, Poppy seems o be a magnet for finding dead bodies. This time, a body is found in the wardrobe she wants to bid on at an auction.

Seeing as the body is the nephew of a family friend, Poppy find herself sleuthing to find out who killed the young antique dealer. Now she has to hope the killer is caught before Poppy becomes an old memory herself.

Filled with eccentric characters, the biddies, sweet kitties and plenty of red herrings, you don’t want to miss out on this cozy series. Being from New Jersey, I always love a New Jersey setting at the shore. It takes me home and keeps me guessing until the end.

I love this series and this installment didn't disappoint. All the characters are so well written and have such wonderful personalities! Antiques, mayhem, and murder. Add in some really nice gluten free recipes and that is all I need.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

I have been glad to find this series. Poppy is such a fun character that it is enjoyable and hilarious at times reading through her voice. There is plenty of action to keep it moving and you never feel bogged down. I loved the humor in the book which adds a bit of zaniness to the story.
