This book was just what I needed to give me a heartwarming positive story. I love the humor mixed throughout and will be reading more of Mansell in the future.

I've tried reading and/or listening a handful of times over the past 18 months and it just isn't doing it for me. I can't seem to get into it and no one is shocked more than I. I have absolutely loved Jill's writing in the past. For anyone looking to read her, I recommend Staying at Daisy's and You and Me, Always.
Thank you to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for the advanced copy.

Jill Mansell is masterful at creating complex and well-defined characters. As with so many of her books, this one features a large community of friends, family, the town’s quirky citizens, and even enemies. She also doesn’t focus on just one central couple, but includes a variety of romance genres featuring couples at all age ranges, both straight and queer, and even significant platonic relationships.

Jill Mansell is a great author. I always enjoy her books. This is a cute book filled with cute characters. Amber, Lachlan and Rafaelle meet after being fostered by Teddy and May. Teddy is now a widower who has met someone new. The three navigate that new relationship as well as their own relationships.
The story is set in a cute English town. There is a bunch of quirky neighbors and townspeople who also become part of the story. Overall, I enjoyed this book.

This was an entertaining read, and different for me. I typically read thrillers and mysteries, so this lighter novel was a welcome change of pace. The character development and exploration of the relationships involved made the story relatable and was very well written.

A lovely story that I took to my heart from the beginning, It was lovely to read and a complete change from my usual crime thrillers.

I am a long fan of Jill Mansell's books, and this one was a little more predictable than some of her others. It was good, but not my favorite. A sweet, lovely story about friendship and found family, with interesting characters where everyone gets their happily ever.

3-1/2 stars for me. Sweet story, but didn't stick with me.

Just lovely!

Should I Tell You? has a lot going on--there's more POV characters than I'm used to these days, and in the beginning it's all a little tough to keep track of as we're not only shifting between POVs but we're also taking frequent trips back in time with Lachlan, Amber, and Raffaele as they reflect on their early days in foster care and how they all came to meet and be friends. To be honest, though I enjoyed the book at that point, it wasn't until the narrative was fully anchored in the present that the book became pretty much unputdownable. There's a lot of reveals along the way, so in order to keep this spoiler-free I'm going to have to be a little general. You'll have to read it yourself if you want all the details (#sorrynotsorry ;))

There isn't anything groundbreakingly different here--it's a story about found families and friends, finding love where and when you (possibly) least expect it, and second chances. It's the execution that makes this one so much fun to read. I really liked all the characters, even the ones I spent a lot of time shaking my head at and the one I wasn't sure could be trusted for approximately 93% of the book. Let's just say that Lachlan and I may share a few trust issues ;) The location is absolutely lovely, and there were more than a few lines that made me laugh out loud. There may also have been a few tears--mostly happy ones!--and there was absolutely a great big happy sigh when I finished it. Was it somewhat predictable? Sure. Did I mind? Not at all.

Every time I finish a Jill Mansell book, I wonder why I haven't read more of them. Hopefully I won't let as much time pass between reading this one and the next, because her books are absolutely lovely!

I enjoy Jill Mansell's books and this one was good. Not my favorite but the main characters and setting and the story kept me reading. It was a lovely story of found family and lifelong bonds and of course a happily ever after.

A delightful story, however, a bit predictable.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

This is a well written book, but it is predictable at times. It seems like the characters were typical cookie cutter from other rom coms. Nothing special. I liked her older works better

A complex love story that tugs at your heartstrings. Hmm, I think I might just give this a try...

The Story:
Amber, Lachlan, and Raffaele are childhood best friends. Their foster parents, Teddy and May, have been more than a father and mother to them. Now grown up, Lachlan is a successful chef, Amber is an artist, and Raffaele is a mini-celebrity hairdresser. Though they are doing well professionally, their love lives are not so good. Lachlan has sworn off committed relationships. Amber is secretly in love with Lachlan but is afraid to tell him. Raffaele has just broken off with his long-time girlfriend, Vee, and is hurting. Moreover, May has passed away and Teddy has a new girlfriend, Olga.

How will everything work out in the end? Will Amber ever be able to tell Lachlan about her true feelings? Will Raffaele be able to forget Vee? And does Olga really love Teddy or is she only a gold-digger?

What I Liked:

1)Despite so many threads and people, the book was pretty simple. The writing was effective in keeping all the threads separate and tied them all up tidily in the end.

2) The characterization was excellent. Every character was properly fleshed out and I had absolutely no difficulty remembering who was who.

3) The book, with so many characters, wasn't too lengthy. Just a tad under 400 pages, I felt that the length was okay to tell a proper story. And I breezed through it.

What I Didn't Like:

1) Some tropes seemed overused. In some places, it seemed that some of the problems could have been solved by simply talking to each other.

Final Thoughts:
This was one of those books which I picked up on a whim yet ended up enjoying a lot more than I expected. A light-hearted book for some easy reading. This was my first Jill Mansell book but I will surely put her other ones on my TBR.

4 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and SourceBooks Casablanca for the ARC.

SHOULD I TELL YOU is an feel-good family saga that follows Amber, Lachlan and Raffaele, and other family, friends, and neighbours, as they navigate lifes ups and downs.
Overall, I enjoyed this story and all of the characters. This was my first book by Jill Mansell and her writing is very easy to fall into and read quickly. I thought some of the plotlines had an intense feel, yet were still written in a fluffy way that sometimes gave me a bit of pause, but ultimately I knew this book was meant to be comfy and heartwarming. Amber, Lachlan and Raffaele's connection to Teddy was so endearing, and I enjoyed the journey in his relationship with Olga.

Should I Tell You by Jill Mansell is a cute book filled with great characters. Amber, Lachlan and Rafaelle meet after being fostered by Teddy and May. Now grown, Teddy is a widower who has met someone new. The three navigate that new relationship as well as their own relationships.

The story is set in a cute English town named Lanrock. There’s a whole cast of quirky neighbors and townspeople who also become intertwined in the story.

I love a good found family story and this one is certainly that. There’s also a friends to lovers romance which is sweet.

Overall, I enjoyed Should I Tell You. Thank you to #netgalley and the publisher for the advanced e-copy of #shoulditellyou.

This was my first book by the author and I enjoyed it.
The family part and the ties between the foster brothers and their father was sweet and endearing. Some moments were hilarious and some heartbreaking.

I liked the writing and how the story didn’t stale at all, just kept pushing through and intrigued me with the diverse cast of characters their interactions.
I’ll read more books by the author in the future after reading this one .

Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

This one was somewhat predictable, and the characters were plenty and a bit difficult to keep straight. A fairly complex saga of relationships including love, parents, and friends. There are a few surprises along the journey, but overall, I found it hard to connect.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy.

I am a Jill Mansell fan and I was super excited to receive the ARC copy of her recent book. It has the usual Jill Mansell touch to it. But the story wasn't as exciting as Mansell's other books.

Thanks for the advanced electronic copy of this book. I’m a long term fan of Jill Mansell and this was no different- feel good, learn a lesson, character development set in a cosy background. An easy read for anyone wanting something light hearted.

This is only my second Jill Mansell book that I have read.

The other one I read was a few years ago called 'Kiss' and I didn't enjoy it all that much.

But this book completely surprised me. I was waiting to reach a point where I would have to skip pages to get to the end (like I did with the other one) but that never happened because this book was feel good and lovely from beginning till the end! For me liking even one character in any given book matters a lot and this book was one of the rare ones where I did not dislike any at all.... yes they had their shortcomings but they were endearing, unpretentious and likeable as a whole bunch.

Easily a five stars book for me.

My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher Sourcebooks Casablanca and the author for the e-Arc of the book.

Another winner from Jill Mansell! In this book, three former foster children find themselves watching out for their foster father as he navigates the dating world. They do their best to protect him from a woman whom they fear is a gold digger. In the process, they learn to trust.
