How do you have fun in space or the Wild West? You make that fun, whether with three-legged races or learning new spells. A really charming, adorable and cute collection that makes one feel like a kid again. I love the art and the color choices as well.

'Hiccups: Fun Stories' by with stories and art by Miguel Martinez-Joffre is a graphic novel full of fun stories.

In different stories featuring pairs of friends, we meet characters like Sheriff Rattatan and Deputy Pancho on the case of the missing nacho. Luz and Sato are a young witch and her ghost dog finding a missing ingredient for Luz to make a love potion.

These all feel like decent pilot ideas for cartoons and work fine for kids comics. The nacho story ran a bit too long for me, but the stories and art would be a fun read for kids.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Diamond Book Distributors, Action Lab Entertainment, and NetGalley. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

This was a cute little graphic novel for the kiddos. Four separate, unrelated stories of crazy adventures with good messages at the end. It was colorful and the art reminded me of the Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon.

Hiccups: Fun Stories is a collection of separate stories within one comic book. Illustrated in a classic cartoon style (think Hanna Barbera) each story features a pair or protagonists and an endearing message.

My kids really enjoyed this one.

Strongly reminiscent of HannaBarbara cartoons. It's a resemblance I have to think was intentional. Visually it's undeniably similar and it shares the same thematic bones. There's a reckless, loose comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. The jokes are heavily pun based, played to the reader with a ink and a nudge.

Hiccups: Fun Stories by Miguel Martinez-Joffre is a children's graphic novel that contains four stories. The stories involves various characters, including Luna Destiny and the Moon Berets and Sheriff Rattatan. This book is perfect for fans of Cartoon Network shows like Dexter's Laboratory and Total Drama Island.

Overall, Hiccups: Fun Stories is a light-hearted graphic novel that would make the perfect gift for a child who is transitioning from watching cartoons to reading books. One highlight of this book is the cartoonish artwork, which reminded me of watching classic shows on Cartoon Network. I took off 2 stars, because the stories aren't that deep, and as an adult reader, I'm looking for stories with a bit more substance. If you're intrigued by the description, you can check out this book when it comes out in April.

Hiccups follows a few different short stories, with a variety of characters and messages. Without a doubt, the title of this book holds true; each story was fun, unique, and entertaining. With endearing illustrations and some very funny moments, I found myself enjoying this novel, even as an adult (whereas it was my impression from the style of the illustrations and the design of the book, this is likely intended for a younger audience). I have been trying to read more graphic and animated books, and I think this book helped me move into this format of stories in a great way. I think because there are so many stories included in this short novel, everyone will be able to find something they relate to and enjoy.

Hiccups is a compilation of 4 short stores with unrelated characters. Each mini-story involves a duo--these duos range from a deputy and sheriff to a boy and his friend who is a hippo alien.

Parts of the stories were cute and funny, but overall I was just confused. Whos is the audience for this graphic novel? The tone was pretty juvenile, but some of the jokes and the context would make sense for a much older audience. But that being said, I don't think many teens or young adults would enjoy this a ton since it does read so young.

I think the story about the sheriff and deputy was the best one-- it reminded me some of Spongebob and Patrick which was a nice blast from the past for me.

So while I did enjoy that story for the most part, I would say that overall this just wasn't for me. I don't think there's anything particularly bad about it-- I just didn't personally enjoy it.

If you like silly cartoons and think this might work for you, I would definitely recommend you check it out!
