First off, full disclosure, I usually only read mystery or thrillers, but the setting of this book grabbed my attention.

Helena has a way of writing that draws you into the story and makes youcare about the characters. Its as if someone is sharing an incident or some gossip even, about mutual acquaintances. The characters become part of your circle.

The settings of her novels is unique. I don’t want to spoil it by telling you where, but its the first time I've read something that tajes pkace here.
Her descriptions of the places make you want to call up a travel agency and make the trip. Helena describes the places that you need to visit and you would feel at home.

I'm sure anyone a fan of this genre will live this book. If you not really a fan, try it anyways, you might be surprised, I was.

I don't know how to explain this plot, so I'm gonna skip my habit of creating a blurb and get to the review. The story mainly featured two couples- Alicia and Liam, who lost their teenage son in a road accident, and Jukka and Brit who are engaged and expecting their first child. Other than these leads, there were antagonists Nico and Dudnikov, one for each of the couples. Personally, this story would have been brilliant without the villains, as the point of time in the lives of these characters is important anyway. I was bored by the effect these villains had on the story. The reason I kept reading was the conflict and individual issues faced by the characters. The ending was perfect in my eyes with a clear resolution.

This is such a wonderful series and this book is an exciting addition. The story brings emotion, intrigue, and suspense and kept my attention the whole way through. Alicia and Liam just may have a second chance when he decides to move to the islands from London. However, Patrick may still be in the picture as Alicia cannot deny she still has feelings for him despite his betrayals. The story brings forth the fact that aside from love, trust also plays a crucial part in sustaining a good relationship. This was a very good story and I enjoyed the descriptions of the islands which made me feel as if I was there seeing it for myself. A very enjoyable read!

I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I really enjoyed this book! I started and finished it in one day! I had a hard time thinking about putting it down😀. So I enjoyed a day of sitting in my recliner and reading! The characters drew me into their lives. Each step or misstep had me wanting to know what happened next. There were times I wanted to holler at them, laugh with them and cry with them! Well worth a day not getting anything else done‼️😀 I highly recommend this book.
