This is a wonderful well written novel.
Pagán has written a thought-provoking, intriguing, intense and heart-warming novel.
She writes her character in such a way that by the end of the book you almost feel connected with each character.
The characters in this book are so well-written... Complex characters who will connect with readers on so many levels.
There was so much to love about this heartwarming story.
I also loved the author's writing style, It flowed amazingly.
I became completely engrossed in Laine's story.
I will definitely be reading more of her books.

A story about Laine, her sisters and mother with writing that drew me in to their world very skilfully. Laine has reached a crossroads in life where she has to make some tough decisions. Laine is a people pleaser and this has come at great cost to her own happiness. The story takes us through misunderstandings and unspoken issues whilst introducing us to the family and their brownstone. The book covers issues related to dementia, the death of a beloved pet and the longing for a baby (no spoiler, this is all mentioned in the very first pages). The ups and downs and revelations of the family kept me turning the pages and I was finished it very quickly. I loved the various romances too. A good emotional story to get lost in for a while. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read.

This was a novel that I quickly became invested in. This was about a family of 3 sisters and an elderly mother with the beginning of dementia. Piper was a successful model with children, Hadley was a successful life coach with children. Laine was the mother’s favorite and a people pleaser. Her dog recently died and she wanted children. This book is about Laine always letting herself be pushed into doing things she didn’t want just to avoid conflict. This story about Laine taking charge of her life makes for a good read. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. The relationships between a mother and her daughters and between sisters are what makes it so relatable. The stories are compelling and I liked that the ending didn't seem obvious.
