This book only gets 1 star for me. I was not impressed with this book at all. It was not what I expected at all.

This book starts well and is very interesting with the possible release of a deadly virus in the USA.

It then got bogged down and, for me, too far fetched. Or is it...?

I really enjoyed this book. Character development was good. The plot was very interesting. Not a lot of typos.

Many people will pick this book up and feel it is a little too close to home…. It’s a fascinating premise with loads of promise, supported by some excellent characters. The pace ebbs a little, however, as the story progresses. Still an entertaining read.

The book started out great. There was a virus released upon world. Was it the US or the other side that released the virus. The book slowly bogs down as the tale proceeds.

This story follows the impact that our country has suffered with the release of a virus that has wreaked havoc on the world. Our government has been impacted and a special team has been requested to get to the bottom of the event. As the team has started looking into many attacks have been made with serious effects on the members. As the team continues their task, a new disclosre is made to Maddie which results in a new strategy.

To discover who was involved in activities that related to the virus outcome, what Maddie learns which involves her family and what ger team is required to do to answer the question that was asked then you need to read this book. It will definitely keep your interest from start to finish.

The book started off with lots of promise, but seemed to lose momentum as it progressed. Characters and plot were more formulaic than original and creative.

I started this with great interest. I confess that it seems hastily written and sloppy. I gave it about 25% before I realized I was just turning the pages.

Counterintelligence is the story of an elite team tasked by the highest elected official in the US to perform certain functions discreetly. When a virus is released Mattie and her team will be required to discover who is responsible for its release. The highest two ranking individuals are dead. With no one actually in charge, Mattie follows her training to finish the job.

This is an intense, fast paced, action packed sci-fi story that is totally relatable with our own experiences with the Covid virus pandemic. If you love this genre you will love this story. The story mixes some of today's conspiracy theories about who is responsible, a foreign entity or the threat of corporate greed.

In Counterintelligence, Matti Baker’s team are assigned the task of finding out the responsible party for the current virus pandemic. Fast paced action with great characters with continual references to movie dialogue and a great Spotify list. If you are an adrenaline junkie, this book is for you.
