Who doesn't love a fake romance storyline?

This was a sweet light-hearted read. I read this book in an afternoon. It's the perfect holiday read. I particularly enjoyed our main characters' meet-cute. It was the stellar supporting characters that made this book for me. There were a few laugh out loud moments.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Ahhh I love this series and I love Mariah's writing!

This was such a fun and spicy read that I devoured in one sitting in the early hours of the morning.

I honestly cannot wait for the next one in this series!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Hot!!

What's not to like about a hot, sweet fire-fighter and a woman with no brain-mouth filter who often verbalises her thoughts out loud!!

Incredibly cheesy, to the point of being unpalatable. The dialogues were very stilted and sounded unrealistic. The meet-cute between the two main characters was cringey and the story went downhill from there.

A charming rom-com with all the hallmark vibes.

You can count on Mariah Ankenmann for bringing out all the wonderful rom-com moments with her quirky characters. Lexi's habit of speaking her inner thoughts aloud provided for many delightful situations.

Dyson was a broody hero but also had a huge heart. Past loss and betrayal made him resistant to relationships, but he was sure smitten with Lexi. And I was here for every moment.

This book is a slow burn. It's light on the steam but heavy on the flirting.

I recommend The Dating Dilemma if you are in the mood for a rom-com full of feel-good, swoony moments.

Overall I liked this book.
This is definitely a standard the book romance with a bunch of common tropes and cliches but it is a fun, mostly light hearted book.
1. Fake dating
2. Bets galore between Lexi and her roommate, between Dyson's friend ( all I could think with this name is the vacuum, is this a real name?)
3. Saying that this isn't a romcom so don't expect the fake dating to lead to real dating
4. By far the most annoying on for me, Lexi can't keep her internal monolog internal. Is this a real thing that any human has ever had a problem with?
The fake relationship was fun if clichéd. The chemistry between Lexi and Dyson was well done. And we get a HEA.

Such a wonderful and extremely funny book from a new to me author. What’s not to love about a sexy firefighter, a woman who speaks out loud her inner musings and a little dash of fake dating on the side? Every thing about Dyson & Lexi’s story ticked all the boxes for me. It was funny without being ridiculous, then add in two characters that were a little wary about love and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better matched pair. There are highs and lows as they navigate their agreement, but it made for fantastic reading as they both step out of their comfort zones to be the others person.
Cannot recommend this book enough. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Thank you tot he publisher author, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book!

I have not read from the mile high firefighters before, but you don't have to read them in order to enjoy the books.
I loved fake dating - it's one of the best for forming relationships and this book was the same. They have a meet cute moment from the beginning.

I didn't really like the 'bet' part of it, but friends will be friends and it make the plot move forward. This book isn't jump out of my seat favorite romance as I have read a lot, but it is cute, easy, and Lexi was a babe. It's hard for an author to have the reader laugh and this book had the moments. I appreciate the side characters and the intrigue to read their books when they come out.

I think anyone would enjoy this and am happy I got my hands on it!

This book is such an amazing time, it gave me butterflies all the way through. It is a dual perspective Firefighter romance with a fake dating trope. Lexi works non-stop at an after-school center that helps kids with homework, sports or just a place they can go. The lack of funds and a never ending to do list, Lexi has no type of life outside the center until Dyson shows up and ends up asking Lexi for a favor. Dyson takes all of Lexi’s humiliating moments in stride and even offers his time to help out in the center to fix it up. But he wants to let Lexi know up front that he is not up for dating even though he finds a lot to like about Lexi. That is until he needs her help to get his younger sisters off his back.
This book is the second in the Mile High Firefighter series. It was so funny, and I loved the awkward moments. I Enjoyed both characters, they were sexy, fun and helped each other and their community. I loved the communication between the two and being up front about their situations. The writing was good, and I flew through this book in one day. It was just a good heartwarming time, with a sexy fireman and a selfless woman, who gives her heart and soul to the kids in her community. I recommend reading this book especially if you're looking for a firefighter romance, laugh out loud moments, and heartwarming feelings, please go check it out, I absolutely loved it.
I received this advanced ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.

This was a cute, sweet with some heat, and funny story. I loved the main characters, they were both such caring and loving individuals. The only issue I had with this story was the end conflict, our h ended up really coming across as selfish and uncaring on that point, and the solution that was presented is atypical and only had a small chance of helping. Overall, a funny book, and I'll look for more books in the future by this author. * I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

The Dating Dilemma is the second book in the Mile High Firefighters series by Mariah Ankenman. Meet-cute (more like a meet-mess, which is the best kind of meet-cute, right?!?), hot firemen, fake dating, and allergies... Fun & sassy. Nothing better then a fireman and a meet cute!

The Dating Dilemma is the third book in the Mile High Firefighters series by Mariah Ankenman. You do not need to read the books as a series to enjoy them, but returning readers will enjoy seeing favorites make an appearance and understand the references to relationship woes in the previous books.

Lexi’s Reminders: Work, Don’t think about your birthday tomorrow. Or debt, your crappy apartment, and nonexistent social life. Re-stock wine and ice cream because that’s coming. Die in a raging blaze of humiliation when the super-hot and very delicious fireman waiting in your office is not in fact the strip-o-gram birthday present you suspected. Reschedule the fire safety inspection you 100 percent failed because of said humiliation. Figure out how you, in fact, agreed to fake dating Mr. Not a Strip-O-Gram Fireman to help him with a bet. Oh yeah, and do not fall for this guy. Seriously, they call him One Night O’Neil. Red flags all over the place. Remember, this is fake dating, even though his very talented, very real lips are doing some sexy things you definitely like. Realize bending one tiny rule can’t be that bad, can it? Except bend too far, and something breaks. Something you can’t get back.

The Dating Dilemma is a contemporary romantic comedy that had me dealing with sympathetic embarrassment on several occasions. I liked that Dyson and Lexi are both not looking for romance, and feel some intense sparks right away. I got a huge kick out of the fact that they both knew going into the fake dating scheme that it rarely works out as intended- and since they were already deep into lust their story would most likely take the rom com track. I will say that Lexi's thing about speaking her thoughts out loud lent itself to several moments of second hand embarrassment, there were also moments when I really was not sure what exactly she had sad- because of how much she had going on in her head at any given moment. I loved the secondary characters, and think that they added a special layer of interest for me. The new characters were just as interesting and complex as the main characters and the other secondary characters that I remembered from the first book (I somehow missed the second). I enjoyed the read and will be keeping an eye out for more.

The Dating Dilemma is a fun romance with self aware characters and some serious second hand embarrassment.

The Dating Dilemma is the second book in the Mile High Firefighters series by Mariah Ankenman. The books have been fun, but they would be fine read as stand-alones. It was fast-paced, easy to read, and had lovable characters.
Lexi is a giver and after her last relationship ended, her roommate, Jordan, bet she won’t date. A misunderstanding had her thinking Jordan sent her a Strip-O-Gram fireman to her work for her birthday. The fireman actually was there to inspect the youth center she runs. The center is always low on funds, but they must fix the discrepancies to stay open. Dyson volunteering to help was a good thing.
Dyson was a rule follower and had a strict no relationship rule after being burned by his ex-fiancé and best friend. His two sisters keep pestering him about dating and blindsiding him by inviting women over to their weekly family dinner. To keep them from setting up more dates or a profile on a dating app, Dyson asks Lexi to be his fake girlfriend.
This was a cute fake date storyline, and I loved the two main character’s cute meet. Lexi and her adorable habit of speaking her thoughts out loud were so hilarious. I loved watching Lexi and Dyson’s relationship and trust in each other grow. This was a charming story, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a funny book that will leave you with a smile on your face.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A complimentary copy of this book was provided by NetGalley for my honest review and opinion. You will laugh, cry then swoon with this hot romance featuring a fireman and a sassy female. Match made perfect for a bedtime read!

This was my firsts book by this author for me. It as told in 3rd person which was different for me and took some time to get used to. After a mistake in identities, Lexi and Dyson decide to help each other out. I enjoyed this fire fighter romance over all and will be looking into more of this series.

I received this ARC through #netgalley and I am voluntarily reviewing this book.

Emotional roller-coaster of a journey filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists and exciting passion. An edge of your seat action packed adventure that was so hard to put down.

The Dating Dilemma by Mariah Ankenman was almost a DNF but I stuck it out and it ended up being a 2.5-3 star read. Lexie runs a floundering youth center, and Dyson is the definitely not a stripper firefighter who shows up to do the annual fire safety inspection. They begin to fake-date to get his sisters off his back, and we all know how fake dating ends up. They develop real feelings, but miscommunication and a severe cat allergy threaten their happy ever after.

If you like ADHD heroines (it felt like peeking into my own brain) and firefighters with hearts of gold, you might want to pick up The Dating Dilemma. It's a super quick, easy read, and Ankenman definitely delivers the steam.

This one follows Lexi and Dyson and their meeting and romance. Dyson goes to where Lexi works for a fire inspection and she thinks that he's a strip-o-gram sent by her friend. Needless to say, he wasn't but after some events, they end up fake dating to fool his sisters into stopping trying to set him up.

I really loved this book, as I do with all Mariah Ankenman's books. I think the only reason I rated it a bit lower than The Wedding Dilemma is because in my romances, I like some banter and I didn't feel as much of that between these two. The sparks were there, that's for sure. And I loved these two together. It just didn't give me the same feel as the first book, which is perfectly okay.

I gave this one 3.5 stars out of 5 and I would for sure recommend it if you're looking for a spicy firefighter romance. I'm really excited to see what Mariah Ankenman will release next (though I do have some backlist to catch up on still)
