OMG!! I was so blessed to receive an advanced copy of this much anticipated book. I have been waiting on the edge of my seat for this book to release and it did not disappoint at all! Samantha M Bailey had me on a rollercoaster ride from start to finish, the twists and turns of my mind were incredible! One minute I was sure I knew what was going on and the next I found doubting myself and everything I had read. This is a real page turner and I did not want it to end. Just to make the ride of Watch Out For Her last a little longer, near the end, I started rereading chapters just so I could hang on to the suspense a little while longer. Samantha M. Bailey, your writing is incredible and I cannot wait for book #3!

Thank you NetGalley for this advanced copy. I was so excited as her last book was one of my favorite books ever! Sadly. this book fell short compared to that one. Very average thriller. Some good twists, some good suspense, but overall just very average to me.

Wow. This book is so beyond amazing, I don't even know where to start.

The characters were perfectly created and executed throughout the book - they all were relatable and none annoyed me haha. I loved the setting of Toronto, being from Ontario I could easily understand where they were living and appreciate the environment.

There were twists I definitely did NOT see coming, and I always appreciate when that happens. This book had me completely captured and I feel so honoured to have been able to read an ARC from NetGalley.

Must read. Add it to your TBR.

I loved the way it was written. My personal favourite thing was the now and before chapters and the psychological suspense. Both women were keeping secrets and I wasn't able to guess a single one. The ending was unpredictable. Loved it.

2022 has brought me so many great tears so far and Watch Out For Her by did not disappoint. It was one of my most anticipated reads of the year so when netgalley approved me I knew I had to read it right away.

The story is told in a dual pov, from Holly's before view and Sarah's now view. We get a glimsp into their lives from Vancouver and Toronto as we watch the riveting story unfold. I was definitely hooked into the story from the beginning and was unable to put it down because so much was happening and I had to know what was going to happen.

Holly is a medical student, with family issues and drama, who starts baby sitting for Sarah and her family after working for fathers company isn't excately what she wanted.Holly begins to feel more welcome in Sarah's family then she does in her own.

Sarah and her husband Daniel both have a lot of things they want to leave behind, both have secrets and are looking to start fresh with their son Jacob when they move across the country. Almost as soon as they arrive Sarah becomes suspicious and is on edge as she feels she may not be as safe here as she once thought she'd be.

This book would be perfect for you if you love a page turning creepy suspenseful thriller, twists that were unpredictable and secrets that are just waiting to unravel, Watch Out For Her publishes in April, and you need it in your life.

Crafty thriller about being watched..,. This original story is exactly the kind of thriller that I love. It’s creepy and full of twist and turns with a strong main character. Highly recommend!

4.5 stars. First I will say, this book was incredibly well-written! I didn't feel like I was reading a story, I felt like these things actually happened.

I loved so many things about this book:
- the mystery & plot
- the slight dark/creepy factor
- the psychological issues
- the issues of being a mother, and always looking out for your child, but still trying to do things for yourself as well.
- the characters
- the cover is perfect
- the now/before flipping chapters
- the fact that all the scenes are Canadian (woo!!! This is why I love Canadian authors)
- references to my area, where I actually live - and these references weren't made up, these places actually exist!
- that I didn't/couldn't guess the ending! I love unpredictable books
- I love that Sarah did photography, as I'm a photographer (though I don't use a darkroom)
- by the end everything was explained, and I had no questions lingering! (Except for 1 thing.)

I could go on and on!

The only thing I didn't understand (and I'll be vague here) was, if Sarah was so angry, why would she go take a walk and leave her son with the very person she was angry at? Maybe I'm missing something.

But overall, great book!!

Bailey proves herself a master of the domestic-suspense twist in this riveting novel. Sarah Goldman is a seemingly kind and generous photographer and mother, while Holly Monroe is her privileged and secretive nanny who’s desperate to find a place she can call home. No one in this novel tells the truth, though, and you’ll need to think twice before trusting either of the two strong, likeable narrators. This is a stunning follow up to Bailey’s debut, 2021’s WOMAN ON THE EDGE.

I was very happy to have received an early reader copy of Samantha Bailey’s second psychological thriller, Watch Out For Her after her wonderful first one, Woman On The Edge. With her new novel, the author cements her reputation as one of the best authors in the genre.

This novel tells the story of Sarah, a wife and mother with a young child, who befriends Holly, a twenty-two year old woman and then discovers secrets and lies that threaten the safety of her (Sarah’s) family. The author adroitly explores various types of anxieties and fears - self-doubt, a mother’s fears, fears of not being seen for who we are, the worry of not being good enough, and the fear of losing the essence of who we are and being subsumed by the various roles we have, be it mother, wife, daughter, etc. These are fears that many can relate to and the way in which they were woven throughout the story was really, really well done.

The story is told from both Sarah’s and Holly’s viewpoints which allowed the reader to really get to know both main characters. Sarah’s is effectively written in the first person so that the reader can live/feel her fears and anxieties through her eyes. I was drawn into both Sarah’s and Holly’s journeys. There are so many things that I loved about Watch Out For Her: the writing style was easy to read and engaging, the flow of the story kept the reader turning the pages, the tension and suspense simmered throughout the novel, there was a good twist, lots of red herrings and a very satisfying ending.

I was captivated by this novel and absolutely loved it. Reading this author’s novels always engage me both in terms of plot, suspense, and writing style. Her latest is no exception. Highly recommend. Watch Out For Her is out on April 19. I will definitely be picking up a physical copy for my collection!!

I knew this would be good, but WOW was it fantastic! Twisty, dark, creepy (in the best way), and chilling, the hairs on my arms were sticking up, and that's how you know a story is GOOD! I will never look at a security camera the same way again! I was pulled in from the first page and devoured every single word. I was sure I had the twist figured out and boy, was I wrong! I love it when that happens. A true storyteller can pull off a brilliant twist you don't see coming and Samantha was successful in doing that once again! Riveting story telling blended in two relatable well developed female characters and their heartbreaking and also heart pounding POVs!

Execution of the timelines between now and then was great enough to hook you up from the beginning. You may guess who is the most obsessive character and who has more stalker tendencies till the end.

Twists are not foreseeable and smartly thrown.
Some of my assumptions were true and but I didn’t find out the final revelation. Absolutely well played!

I was on my work trip when I start to read this riveting page turner and this might be one of the worst business trip because I wished the meetings were over sooner so I could get back my room to order room service ( who I’m kidding: I was planning to order my chilled Chardonnay) and return back my reading asap!

Let’s talk about the plot more; Sarah Goldman, forty one years old, photographer, raising her six years old kid Jacob with her husband Daniel, suddenly decides to move across the country to leave her dysfunctional relationship patterns with their nanny behind.

22 years old nanny Holly Monroe, aspiring student of British Columbia Medical School, working with her father’s company: Health ProX for sales department to convince multiple middle aged male customers to fund their new medical productions.

When she involves into Sarah and Jacob’s lives as a baby sitter, she slowly becomes a part of their family. But when we can sense something’s gone so wrong that made Sarah packed her belongings to move across the country to get rid of Holly!

But Sarah feels like her family’s in danger at their new place. She finds cameras inserted at different parts of their home and she gets cryptic text messages telling her somebody is still watching! Could Holly follow them? Or the people she truly trust might be lying her for a long time?

Overall: absolutely one of the best and most anticipated thrillers of the year earned my five stalker-ish, dysfunctional family, lies, high tension, I got no nails to bite I already ate them all stars!
