Dominick and Kendall's story was a sweet one, a known entertainment lawyer, and a newfound Hollywood girl. Their story begins in a very interesting and steamy way, then everything is complicated. It's a swoony steamy story, if you like Hollywood and lawyers this is up to your alley. The audiobook is narrated by Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige, they both did a great job portraying the characters, making this story quite entertaining to hear.

Loved this audio version of The Lawyer ! Sure made cleaning go faster that’s for sure !

Narration was great especially liked Tim Page’s voice as Dominic.

Oh my goooooooosh! The steaminess of this book. I found myself many times blushing (in all the good ways). This was my first book by Marni Mann but after this, I will be reading them all! If you're into spice a with some real "talk dirty to me" vibes. This is the book for you. Can't wait to read more from this series! Highly recommend.

This was my first book from this author and I really enjoyed it! This book is super steamy but I love that the author balances the steam with plot. Although there is heavy steam throughout the entire book, we still get a full story and plot outside that steam.

I enjoyed the characters in this book and if you like big, grumpy, overprotective heroes, Dominic is the one for you! He was very sweet for someone I thought would be an asshole. He started out as a hardcore player but quickly changed his tune for our female lead. Though some of the Hollywood aspect of the story was lost on me (I think maybe I just don’t understand the ins and outs of Hollywood 🤣) I did enjoy the storyline and the side characters!

The first few chapters of this audiobook gave me the wrong impression. It started with a bang (literally) and I thought I was just going to be reading/listening to pure smut for the duration of the book. Nothing wrong with that, I just prefer more plot with my smut typically. Well I am glad I didn’t let the first few chapters turn me off, because there is more to this book and it absolutely sucked me in by the 4th chapter!

I thoroughly enjoyed this audio and felt like the narrators portrayed the voices of the main characters perfectly!

Kendall moves to LA to help out her sister Daisy with her Hollywood career and ends up with an opportunity of a career herself. She ends up facing several difficulties with making the decision to join a reality show.

Dominick is a Lawyer who handles a lot of Hollywood celebrities. He’s also extremely domineering, possessive and dirty!

I love everything about Kendall and Dominick’s relationship. They meet at a Hollywood party and instantly are drawn to each other. That never changes. They are always drawn together no matter what their circumstances are. And they have undeniable chemistry. They have so much steam it’s crazy.

While this book has an incredible amount of spicy scenes it did not lack plot and character development. It was such an amazing balance.

I did listen to this on audio and have to admit I was not crazy about either of the narrators. I didn’t feel like their was adequate emotion and tone changes. However the story was enough to make me keep listening instead of give it up.

Overall I enjoyed this audiobook. The spice we are used to from Marni Mann, is brought up to the next level of HOT. There was a good bit of character development here, but I do have to say I feel like Kendall caved into him a little too easily for me. Like the rest of the book world, who doesn't love a rich, powerful caveman type in a suit. I was hoping she would find her backbone sooner than she did. I feel like the outcome in the end was what everyone deserved. I honestly am looking forward to the next book in this series. The narration was very good. I am a fan of Tim Paige. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the Agency Series. We get a visit from Brett. Always good to see characters cross over.

I will say this - this is on dirty/sexy book and you can't listen without your earbuds because Marni Mann can write some serious sexy (not complaining - just stating the facts).
I am a huge Marni Mann book for her emotional reads but this is different than her typical story. It's super hot and sexy and fun to read (listen to). An LA Lawyer and his client meet before they are client/lawyer so once they are tied with business - all the funny stuff needs to stop - only one problem - their connection is more than just sex!


The narrators did these characters justice and Dominick and Kendall's story is super duper HOT!!!

The Lawyer pretty much immediately starts with a spicy scene and there are many others interspersed within the book, with some being extremely cringey. All of the previous Marni Mann books I've read have had some spicy scenes, but usually the characters are a bit more developed and the scenes aren't as awkward as some of these were. There was also one big contradiction that I wanted to be acknowledged by the characters, but wasn't.

Overall, I did enjoy this. I really liked the celebrity reality show aspect of it. It was interesting to imagine how quickly a life can change by being dropped into a hit show, with a big payday. The sisterly drama was intriguing. My favorite was Charlize and I'd love to see a follow up that had him as the main character.

I didn't like this book from the start and only hung on to about the 20% mark before calling it quits. I loathed the characters and just couldn't continue reading.

The Lawyer by Marni Mann was not what I was expecting. I love the author's writing style and jumped at the chance to listen to the book from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media. Sadly, I felt that the story had too much sex! Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige did a good job performing the book, and added the right emotions to their voices. I missed the twists and angst the author typically writes in this book.

Dominick and Kendall are fire… I loved this book! Marni Mann gives readers an amazing alpha man with this incredible woman! Kendall brings out his soft side. It was so good.
Their chemistry was amazing and I loved the story. Their connection was real. Kendall is struggling with fame, Dominick is can’t get enough of Kendall but has never allowed himself to be in the center of fame.
When things happen, he must decide if she’s worth it! They are both worth it!! . It’s a book about putting those in your life before yourself and caring and loving others through the good and hard times!!

his book felt very standard romance, like a staple. I don’t mean that in a negative in anyway there is definitely room for a romance like this in the space. It almost feels like a romance right of passage to read this type of romance novel. This book brings together hot shot lawyer and new to LA slash future IT girl in the way you imagine. The love interest ‘discovers’ the heroine and gets her on a reality TV show. But the heroine came to town to be her sisters assistant because she is also a reality TV star. Cue the drama that happens while she makes frequent visits to bangtown with her new lawyer.



If you like drama with lots of steam this book is for you.
I’m definitely interested in picking up the next in the series. It held my interest and made for a fun audio listen.

I can’t wait for the rest of these brother’s stories!! They are all amazing! And Holy Hollywood Hotness!!! The girl in the emerald dress! Dominick and Kendall are instant fire! One look at each other and they are done for! Very quickly they realize that Dominick is the attorney for Kendall’s sister Daisy, the Hollywood starlet as well as the overly jealous sister. When Dominick helps Kendall join a reality tv show, everything explodes. Relationships explode, good & bad, stardom, everything! It is great watching them navigate life together in both the public and behind closed doors, behind closed doors is some STEAMY moments!!!) Impatiently waiting for the other brother's story! Loved it and thank you Marni for another great story! And thank you for bringing this audiobook to life!!

This book is super steamy, and be prepared if you listen to it on audiobook as I did! 🥵 You can literally fry an egg on the driveway with how hot it is! There is so much chemistry between Dominick and Kendall, and I could feel the lust, passion, and sparks while listening to it. I just loved the main characters so much! I absolutely loved the 2 narrators as I really felt them bring the story to life. ⠀⠀⠀
You will find that this has a dual POV, is an office romance, has the alpha male hero that I love, billionaire trope, and all of the 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!

I feel like the ending was rushed and I was hoping for the ending to be different

The spice is in this book was great, the rest was kind of eh.

The only conflict was between the MC and her sister.

There is almost no conflict between the love interests getting together, despite the fact that Dominick is supposedly adamant against living a "celebrity" lifestyle. That's just immediately forgotten.

Wish the story had contained a little bit more substance.

The female narrator was great, the male was kind of awkward to listen to, made the spicy scenes a little uncomfortable.

I received a review copy of this audiobook for an honest review. This was my first book I have read/listened to by this author and I was a bit disappointed. I have heard so many fabulous things about M Mann and was excited to dive into this book. However, it was not what I was expecting. I went in blind. I went in thinking I was going to get a deep and emotional read, but what I got was surface-level, heavy on the steam, and a shallow hero. Maybe it was me. Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for this type of read. But I kept wanting more from this story and these characters. I know M Mann is an incredible author, so I will be looking into some of her other books; and even though this one wasn't for me - it might be for you! If you're looking for a quick, steamy read in an LA setting, then give this one a shot!

I really tried to give this book a shot, honestly. I was going to stop listening after the first 10 minutes but I wanted to give it more time. I did not like the male narrator’s performance. I love steamy books so I know it wasn’t the content, it was the delivery. I may like this better if I read the book so I’ll keep it on my TBR but I could not finish this book. I made it to 30%.

The book is a dual POV with 2 narrators and the plot has so much potential. The female narrator did a good job but I just could not get through Dominick’s chapters.

Dominic Dalton is 100% alpha male and I relished every bit of it. Kendall Roy is his perfect match and together they are a fiery couple. Marni Mann wrote an extremely spicy romance with The Lawyer.

Ms. Mann skillfully blended romance with drama in this novel. It was easy to connect to the characters as her descriptions were detailed and specific. Witnessing the evolution of Dominic and Kendall's relationship from an intended one-night stand to a forever love made for a wonderful read. As I listened to the audiobook, it made for a wonderful listen. I'm looking forward to reading or listening to the other books in the series.

The narration was spot on perfect for this book. Both the male and female voices lent themselves well to the characters and made the story even more enjoyable.
