I have mixed feelings for this audio.. the story itself was ok. There was a lot of sex, which I usually don’t mind at all, but this was a little over the top simply because a few minutes in they just met and were already in bed together. So, in my/ opinion just a little over the top.

The second thing that bugged me about this audio was the male narrator. He was very hard to listen to and the way he read certain parts of the book really just rubbed me the wrong way.

I might try to read the book instead of listening to the audio, I just had a really hard time getting through with the male narrator.

My first Marni Mann book, and most certainly not my last. This book isn’t spicy, it’s red hot. Know what you’re getting into my friends, this is no cozy romance.

Aside from the hanky panky parts, the story is light, a bit predictable, but a quick and enjoyable read. It hits the instalove trope well. I look forward to the rest of the Dalton Brothers series, and can’t wait to check out Mann’s other books.

Overall Rating: 3/5
Audiobook Rating: 4/5
Steamy Rating: 4/5

This was a cute story and the audiobook was beautifully done! I loved the narrators and the fact that there was a male and female voice for the POVs.

The book has new girl in town vibes with a lawyer who is afraid of commitment. I enjoyed the overall book and finished listening to it within a day. I particularly loved that the romance started immediately. What starts off as a one night stand turns into something more... It's the best!

However, I found that the book was a little anticlimactic. That isn't always a bad thing but it seemed like the relationship between the MC and love interest was smooth... too smooth. The most drama occurred between the MC and her sister.

Still a cute book and enjoyable read. I just prefer books with a little more excitement.

This story wasn't what I was expecting from Marni.
Her recent releases focused more on emotional issues and suspense; this was more of an insta-love, erotica story.
The sex scenes were well-written and steamy, but I missed the unique twists and angst from her other books.

It was still a good book, but I would have liked for the characters to have a deeper connection than mostly physical.

The Lawyer by Marni Mann is a steamy romance with the perils of reality TV as a backdrop. The first book of this erotic series is not for the prudish but if you like a quick romance with an evil sister it is quite entertaining to hear.

Dominick and his brothers are rich powerful lawyers in Hollywood. Dom has one rule - never get involved with a client. Then he sees her across the roof top party. Kendall is sexy gorgeous but the type that does not know it. Their encounter is blush worthy steamy and suppose to be just one time. Until she is in his boardroom as his latest client, sister to his most annoying client, reality star Daisy.

As Dom and Kendall deal with hiding their feelings and their relationship, supreme narrators Kelsey Navarro and Tim Paige bring to life the sexiness, the eroticism, and the sisterly drama. Make sure you have your ear buds intact. This one is definitely for alone time!

Dominic and Kendal start out with a "Bang", and don't let up. This is a VERY explicit, dirty talking, hot listen. I am not opposed to that in the least bit, but there was more of that than storyline, which slightly frustrated me. The characters and basic storyline were good (although I may have wanted to punch Kendal's sister in the face). The narrator did ok. I know some people will absolutely LOVE this, but to me it was maybe 3.5 stars.

This was a super quick listen for me. I really loved Dominic's character - he was the epitome of an alpha male - the protector type. From the jump, he wanted the best for Kendall, in and out of the bedroom. I loved all of the spicy scenes between the two!

The one thing that bugged me was I really didn't feel the emotional chemistry as much between the characters. I really wanted to feel more of that and a few less sex scenes. I am all for the spice, but I felt like their relationship was solely sex based and not really much else.

This was my first Marni Mann book and I am looking forward to reading the next books in the Dalton Brothers series!

The Lawyer is the first book in Marni Mann’s new Dalton Brothers series, and oh does it start off with a bang! This is one steamy audiobook! It also has just the right about of drama and angst to keep me invested from beginning to end. Kendall and Dominick have the most intense instant chemistry. From the very first chapter the heat between them scorching hot and explosive! Dominic is pure alpha, commanding, sexy and charming. He is a successful entertainment lawyer. He is driven and focused and does not have time in his life for more than one night with a woman. Which is exactly what he thought he was getting with Kendall after their first hookup. Until they cross paths again the next morning during a meeting with Kendall’s sisters attorney which just so happens to be Dominick, of course and things get very interesting from there. Kendall is a lot different than some women you meet in Hollywood. She is down to earth, caring and sweet. She has just uprooted her life moving to LA to become her sisters assistant. I was not a fan of Daisy at all. She was selfish and just plain awful to Kendall.

What I loved was the character growth with Kendall. I loved the way she comes into her own with the confidence and protectiveness of Dominick. As far as romance this story has it all. There was a few problematic areas that got on my nerves but overall I enjoyed it and will forward to more in this series to come.

The audiobook is narrated by Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro. These two were the perfect duo to bring life to these characters. Tim nails Dominick’s possessive, dominant side and Kelsey did a fantastic job portraying her characters emotional growth. Well done!

Raunchy and all sorts of scandal! This book takes you on a ride between steamy encounters and Kendall going on a reality show that gets messy.

Some things that I liked were the fact that Dominic's softer side came out more and more. I also liked that Kendall stayed her kind self amongst the LA chaos that would eat anyone alive.

Although this book was very steamy, I think that it occasionally went a bit too far and distracted away from the plot. I think I wanted more variety of language or description instead of the same dialog over and over. Of course, Kendall's sister Daisy was annoying throughout too. I guess if would have been preferable to have a glimmer of her being nice earlier on the make her more redeeming at the end.

Overall this was an interesting read for me since it definitely pushed the boundaries of the typical books I normally read. Since this was an audiobook, I think it really cranked up the heat.. I think this book definitely appeals to readers that prefer mostly the raunchy and steamy parts than the overall plot.

HOLY CRAP 🥵🥵🥵🥵

Talk about smut right off the bat I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into because this book took off with a BANG! Weeeew child… I was NOT prepared for the hotness that ensued throughout this one. Now, if you’re not into dirty smut/dom-like males, don’t read this. This isn’t your normal run of the mill romance and I am here for it!

I, on the other hand, listened to it and yeah…. 😳 I need to find a lawyer like Dominick because man, he had a way with words to Kendall in this book. I was here for it and then some 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

It has California - romance (aka dirty smut) - sadness - family issues - cute little Eve - travel - pancakes - and some sister fights.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

This book was very spicy and I really enjoyed some of the spicy scenes, but I think there are far too many and not enough of a story line. I wish there was more of a storyline so that this was not just a books with a bunch of spicy scenes. The characters were likeable so I was disappointed when the only rift was between the sisters.

An oh so hot one night stand between a pair that meet on a rooftop bar soon becomes so much more in this steamy romance novel.

When an opportunity in fame is presented for Kendall she is hesitant to accept it because of anger and belittlement raging from her wildly jealous sister. But she soon realizes that the choice for what she wants to do is hers and hers alone. So when she accepts the role in a reality tv show her already fragile relationship with her sister shatters.

Dominick, her one night stand and an entertainment lawyer, quickly becomes one of the only people she has in LA that is unconditionally there for her no matter what. The more the spend time together the more it becomes evident that they never want to be without each other. He becomes extremely protective when her intimate privacy is invaded and then leaked to the media, and her world tilts on an axis. But through all the turmoil he makes sure she is alright and does everything in his power to make her happy and to make things right.

This romance novel is full of entertaining, heartbreaking, and heartwarming moments, and plenty of steam. This story showcases a woman taking charge of her own life, and finding love with someone that comes to mean the world to her. I truly loved this audiobook, and never wanted to put it down. Thank you NetGalley for an arc of this audiobook.

I really felt meh about this one...mostly from a narration standpoint. It wasn't a bad story, some nice character development just not big on my list.

Uh, holy hell Batman.

The first two chapters of this made me check around me and see if anyone could hear what I was hearing.
Dominick is exactly the kind of dirty talking alpha we all love, and the audio definitely kicked this up several notches.
My hat goes off to the narrator, because you made me BLUSH. I didn’t even think that was a thing, but here we are.

Kendall’s narration was fabulous as well. I really felt like I was listening to someone tell their love story, and that’s kind of what I look for in any audiobook.

The entire story was both smoking and sweet, and I could do with a nightcap, but it’s not even noon.

This is my first book from Marni Mann and I loved it so much! The writing is *chef’s kiss* and I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Dominick Freaking Dalton is so hot, oh my god! The smut is immaculate—which is a huge plus. I just didn’t enjoy how Kendall and Dominick’s attraction started off purely physical—thankfully it slowly developed into something more. Dominick was so obsessed with Kendall’s body, sometimes it annoyed me. Overall though, I really loved Dominick and how he was so loving and protective of Kendall.

The drama between Petty McPettyson (Daisy) and Kendall was so good and really added to the plot.

Tim Paige and Kelsey Navarro did an amazing job narrating Dominick and Kendall!

Welllllllll. I’m no delicate flower when it comes to steam level, but this one was just over the top for me. I need a great story. To feel that amazing build up and chemistry between a couple! This one was basically all sex and the plot left a lot to be desired.
I have heard great things about this author and would definitely try another book by her!

The lawyer is a one night stand turned into more.
The story revolves around Kendall who moves from Boston to LA to be her bossy bratty diva sisters assistant.

Shes at a party meets Dominic and goes jome with him and the next day she's late for a meeting with her sisters and agent and laywer and who's her sisters lawyer her one night stand.

He knows she's perfect for a new reality TV she's going to be a star.

Her sister freaks and says she's taking everything from her and Kendall starts a sex relationship with Dominic. Soon they fall in love and her private life falls apart.

This was a low 3 stara for me. The stuff outside the bedroom I enjoyed more then the relationship. How do you know they are the one to change your pattern when you only have sex and never talk I'm just saying.

Thank you NetGalley for this audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc of this book. All opinions expressed are my own. I am rating this book 4 stars.

I thought the romance and steam between Kendall and Dominick was on fire! Their relationship was so cute, i especially loved the pancake scenes, and Marni Mann wrote some spicy spicy scenes. I did not care for the sisterly drama, but that’s just me.

I’ve been loving these smutty reads and the lawyer delivered! It actually had a plot which I enjoyed and it kept me wanting more. I can see what all of the hype is about. Not for the faint of heart

3.5 stars.

The narrators were wonderful!!

This was very very steamy and enjoyable first book in the dalton brothers series!

Kendall and Dominic have instant, and intense chemistry in this novel, and you can’t help but root for their happiness. Dominic is the very essence of a dominant man but Kendall keeps up very well so they are a great match. It was fun to see how their relationship changes and guess how they will end up!

I can say I have NEVER hated a character as much as I hated Daisy (Kendall’s sister). She drove me to feel so many emotions and I wanted to scream. All to say, it’s a only a good author that can derive such feelings from her readers. Whew I’m still reeling just thinking about that horrid woman 😂.
