Crimson Holiday starts out with a bang. Or would it be more accurate to say a murder? It's a well written mystery and romance as well. Shelby spends a lot of her time in a panic. But it's also pretty easy to see why. That panic often causes her to make a few bad decisions though. Still both Shelby and Rand are good main characters.

There is a lot of twists and turns to the mystery but there is a HUGE double whammy towards the end. H.E.A. though is a nice touch too.

Book 2- Crimson Nightmare- follows the sister Pippa who was in the first book as Rand's sister. Another good mystery with plenty of possible suspects. I have to say that I liked Pippa but I wasn't so sure about Sky for a long time. He just had too many secrets of his own.
Turns out this story also had excellent twists and turns until the real murderer was revealed. Making for an excellent ending.
Overall, I'd say this was a good 2 stories in one book. The first story I liked a bit more than the second.

" I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book through Netgalley. And this is my honest opinions about it.”

Patricia Rosemoor always writes stories with an abundance of intrigue, suspense, and at times a little humour too. In the Crimson Duet readers are treated to two stories in one book and Christmas has never been more laden with murderous intent. Both these stories are jam-packed with twists and turns as the mysteries are unravelled and I’m sure that Santa will be shivering in his boots! Great storylines and interesting characters definitely make these entertaining and enjoyable reads.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

This is two books in one so that was a great surprise! In the first book, Shelby wakes up next to a dead Santa who happens to be her boss. She has a bad mark on her record so she runs! Rand saw a woman running from the dead body and sets out to solve who murdered his business partner since the police are looking at his sister, the wife of the dead Santa.

Book 2 is set a year later, and we see Pippa this time and again she is a suspect in another murder along with Sky who was driving the sleigh that ran over the dead man. They team up to figure out who killed the man as they know that they were not at fault.

Lots of red herrings and twists and turns make guessing who is the murder fun and requires investigative skills! I fell for the red herring and did not see who it was on either story!

Could not put the book down as I wanted to find out whodunit!

Romance and suspense wrapped up in one.

A good collection of a couple of holiday short stories. Easy to read, and enjoyable. Like the author so gave it a try. Could have used more details at times, but that is common in this genre. Would recommend.

Two wonderful holiday stories of murder that will delight the reader. The first is about a window designer named Shelby Corbin who stumbles over a dead Santa. The second is about the murdered man's widow, Pippi McNab. Both are well developed stories with interesting characters. Thanks #netgalley and #dangerouslovepublishing for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

When I started reading this, I read the dedication of the author's memories of the Marshall Fields State Street Store. My husband talks about having been lucky enough to go every Christmas to the Walnut Room and the fond memories he has of this annual event. While I never went myself, Marshall Fields had always been an wonderful shopping experience. Their Christmas decorations were always magical.

This book incorporates those feelings into a sweet mystery involving a fictional store in downtown Chicago. Crimson Holiday and Crimson Nightmare the two stories showcased under Crimson Duet.
These are fun sweet mysteries centered around Christmas.

Patricia has given us two well written fun Christmas mysteries that are perfect for the holiday season

The first book is Christmas Holiday what happens when window designer Shelby Corbin is drugged at the Westbrook Department Store Christmas party and the main suspect is Santa The Santa who was the store co-owner and the man whose body she has just fallen over. Yes she is the main suspect but there is far more going on than anyone realises Soon CEO is drawn into the case but is he trying to prove her innocence or is far more going on Will these two prove Shelby's innocence and in the process fall in love You will have to read to see

The second story is "Christmas Nightmare" this is the story of widow Pippa McNab the woman whose husband was murdered at the Westbrook Department Store Christmas party last year and it looks like history is repeating itself after Santa has a reaction to aa appetiser she serves him rushes into the street and his killed by reindeer drawing a sled. Soon Sky Thornton the driver of the sled is helping Pippa to solve the case but is that all that he is interested in You will have to read to see if they have a future together.
