It's really not hard to believe the number of the many people who are innocent and in jail. After all our peers who decide are not all knowing or filled with wisdom. I find it very inspirational to read about people in prison who find there way to GOD and loves and forgives unconditionally. Once again GOD can change anyone, definite yes.

I take seriously the words of St. Paul to not forsake prophecy. That is one reason why the book attracted my attention. I want to see where God is working. However, Paul continued by saying to everything to the test. If it is good keep it, if it is not good (validated by the Bible) stay away.

I would tentatively put this put in the second category, stay away. I cannot say that the author did not experience what he says but he offers little by way of validating what he says. In a recent book by another author the Independent Agent Principle is used. What this means that the author has verified each experience he documents. I find that principle important but lacking in God's Clear Voice.

I did not see confirmatory testimony. In fact, it would be difficult for most people to verify much of what he says. The author writes about his brother but does not use his real name.

I am sorry that author spent time in jail for a crime he did not commit. I am glad that God got through to him. But I cannot recommend this book for anything but the author's story.
I received a copy of this book from netgalley.com with only the promise of a review.

An account of the conversion and spiritual growth of a man in prison for a crime he did not commit. I'm sure it would have been easy for him to turn against God in prison with little to no contact with his family.
I do take issue with his numerous "it's not my fault" statements, especially concerning his brother. Their re-enactment of David and Goliath that resulted in a severe concussion for Mr. Ortiz was an accident. I personally know several brothers who have done similar things because small boys don't understand how dangerous such things are.
Mr. Ortiz has obviously put in a lot of study of the scriptures and rightly says that everyone should read and study the Bible for himself.
I found his study and application of the Bible against evil spirits especially good. I liked his practical application of the armor of God while in prison that is equally applicable to each of us in our lives.
I hope Mr. Ortiz continues his study and continues to grow in grace and faith.

Thank you to Netgalley for an e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I always go into a book like this with some hesitancy and a little skepticism. In this book, we learn that the author is in prison for a crime he didn't commit. During this time he has a lot of time to study the bible and write. Much of what he shares, he uses scripture to reference this. I liked that. I did appreciate the fact that he was repeatedly telling the reader to do your own research. Study the bible for yourself and not just blindly believe everything that is preached to you by a pastor, bible scholar etc. This is something I too, firmly believe. It is easy to be misled or to believe something that just isn't true in scripture.
He takes us on a journey where God reveals himself to him through scripture, through visions, and through dreams. Some of this seems a bit far fetched to me. I am not saying God cannot speak to us in many ways, but I just wasn't sure I could believe much of what he was saying. This is where my skepticism takes hold of me.
I liked some of what he shared about faith vs. belief, about spiritual warfare and even some of what he said about the end times.

For me there was not enough proof that some of these things were a direct link to God speaking to him. I do think a lot of people say that they heard from God in a supernatural way and it may not be from God at all. I think scripture is our best voice from God. I also understand the Holy Spirit can reveal things to us in unique ways in scripture.

I would say, read this with the knowledge that this is one man's story and as he himself states time and again, do your own homework. Study the scriptures for yourself. This was an interesting read.

God’s Clear Voice by Anthony Mark Ortiz is a journey through the author’s life, his trials and tribulations from a childhood accident to being falsely imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. It was there when he first experienced visions and claims God spoke to him through dreams, visions, angelic visitations. A vision he claims is similar to the revelation of John the Apostle on the island of Patmos which became the Book of Revelation. This book sets out to demonstrate how God still speaks to his called and chosen people as well as how to recognize God’s voice. Covering topics like spiritual warfare, faith, the rapture, and the end times, the book sets out to give readers a new perspective and learn to listen for God’s voice. The author discusses how to prepare for spiritual battles, using the full armor of God as discussed in Ephesians 6:10-18.
God’s Clear Voice was not the book I was expecting. It was more a book on his personal experience and his claims how God gave him a vision and revelation to share with the world. I do not doubt that God still speaks through visions and dreams. Believers are to seek out his voice by reading his word and in prayer. However, I am skeptical when someone claims to have a new revelation from God, especially when it's a claim about the end times. To his credit, Mr. Ortiz does encourage readers to study the Bible on their own and not just take his word on the subject. He makes a bunch of claims and uses numerous scripture verses with no real conclusion or cohesive connection. The book also abruptly ends with no wrap up or conclusion. I do not doubt his sincerity but I do not see how his revelation brings any new information that hasn’t already been revealed to us in the Bible. Unfortunately, I do not recommend God’s Clear Voice.

God’s Clear Voice is available in paperback and eBook.

God’s Clear Voice educates Christians to be prepared for the end times. It encourages us to put on the full armor of God to equip us so we will not be deceived. Scriptures are abundant throughout, backing up truth. It clarifies misconceptions many Christians have concerning the rapture. The author consistently reminds readers to seek the scriptures for themselves, asking the Holy Spirit to guide them to truth, not just believing because it’s what they thought was true their entire life. I was encouraged by this book.

Do you read the Bible? Do you believe what the Bible says? Do you think God still speaks to people the same way today as he did in biblical times? These are questions readers must ask themselves as they consider God’s Clear Voice by Anthony Mark Ortiz.

His amazing encounters with the Lord reveal teachings received directly from the Holy Spirit; and angelic visitations offer jaw dropping insight into the spiritual realm that convey from a purely Bible perspective, the spiritual principles set forth in Acts 17:1-12. His encouragement is to the saints (and others) is to know the Word of God and know how to discern the voice of the Lord for yourself. He encourages readers to embark on their own journey of discovery in knowing and hearing God’s voice, so that hearing from God no longer needs to be a mystery. Boldly, he claims God’s voice is clear for all to hear!

The unique feature of this read is sharing spiritual warfare and prophetic dreams and visions through the author’s actual experiences. This book was a good read. I enjoyed how the author felt the awakening within him and that God's power has led him to where he is at spiritually. If you are looking for a book to see the power that God has had over this author, then I would suggest this book for you.

This is too deep for students. The author's story is mixed with so many bible references but no real conclusion.
