I have read a lot of books on herbal remedies and herbal healing, but have yet to see one that focused strictly on this from the perspective of intimacy. I really enjoyed this and learned some great new things!

The Intimate Herbal A Beginner's Guide to Herbal Medicine for Sexual Health, Pleasure, and Hormonal Balance by Marie White is a well-written, informative read that is well-research and full of useful tips and tricks.

The Intimate Herbal is a well written, layman accessible herbal aimed at improving reproductive health, fertility, and related health subjects, written and curated by Marie White. Due out 14th June 2022 from nonprofit North Atlantic Books, it's 256 pages and will be available in paperback and ebook formats.

This is a well written and accessible guide (with recipes and tutorials) for herb use and herbal medicine. The author writes with competence and experience on choosing, processing, and using herbs and the active ingredients they contain. She has included a very useful chapter overview/introduction to the content which allows readers a short quick-start guide to finding content easily and quickly. The volume is extensively annotated and the chapter notes are well written and correct.

The chapters are arranged thematically: a comprehensive introduction is followed by a primer and overview over terminology, basic concepts and discussions on physical sexual health and bodywork. The following chapters cover specific subjects: sexual & reproductive health, intimate health conditions, a comprehensive herbal/materia medica, and finally the recipes.

The tutorials and recipes include tools and ingredients in a bullet style list. Measurements are in American/imperial units only, followed by step by step instructions. The recipes and herbal information included here isn't aimed at culture of individual plants, but more applicable to bought and prepared items. The materia medica does contain both botanical (Latin) name as well as some common names for the selected plants.

The book contains no illustrations. The author has included a resource and links lists, bibliography, chapter notes, and an index.

Four stars. This would be a superlative choice for public library acquisition, community garden/allotment member libraries, doulas, midwives, holistic health professionals, and the home herbalist gardener's library.

I found this text extremely informative. The description and uses for all of the herbs was extremely useful. I really enjoyed the format, which made finding specific uses very practical. I would recommend this book to others as it would be very easy to find high quality teas premixed with the ingredients recommended.

This book is so valuable and will become a classic read. Marie White provides tangible ways to step into the herbal remedies using plain and simple English, and is very easy to follow along with. This book is highly recommended for anyone interested in learning more about herbs, natural remedies, and some insight into a simpler way of herbal medicine for intimate health. You can read the whole thing through or jump to specific chapters to ease an ailment.

This book was really interesting! As someone who doesn’t know much about herbs and the power they can play for your moods and health I found it intriguing if a bit intimidating at parts to learn about. Overall a really great book!

I'm an herbalist at heart so anytime there is a book on herbs, I will read it. It took me a little while to get into it but I finally did and I enjoy it. The format was kind of messed up reading from the kindle app so I did find myself getting frustrated at times. Overall, this is a great book to add to any herbalist's collection.

A very interesting look into herbs and its connections to intimacy. There was a very through overview of male and female experiences. I would defiantly reference his book in the future.

Love this as a guide to becoming an intimate herbalist. Lots of great breakdown of terminology. It was super informative to increase intimacy in a relationship and assist with breaking down walls between human life and plant life.

There's lot of information in this book and overall it was very interesting. I will probably buy a physcial copy to add to my collection of herbal books to have on hand for reference.
