I loved this book! It's well-written, enjoyable, and a great read. The author did a great job of writing in a way that captures the readers attention, and makes you not want to put it down until you're finished! I would highly recommend it!

Eu gosto muito de romances em cidade pequena e esse daqui me conquistou de jeito. A Yardley é fantástica, ela faz o melhor para conseguir dar conta dos negócios. E o Travis logo se vê encantado por ela. Amei acompanhar esse casal e tudo nessa história linda.

I enjoyed this. It was cute contemporary romance. The one draw back was the chapters did not need to be as long as they were. That was a little off putting and it took me a bit to read it.

However, I think I will continue in the series.

While there were a lot of fun elements of this book (Yardley was such a bright and sparkly character that I immediately found myself rooting for, and Travis was also likable), I struggled with the way Yardley was treated in general for a lot of the story.

3.5 stars.

This was a lot more wholesome than I was expecting and that was such a pleasant surprise. I will admit, it took me quite a while (and a few different tries) to truly get invested into the book and its characters, but once I was dialed in I couldn't get it off my mind. Yardley and Travis and the folks of Cemetery left a lasting impression and I'm hoping that we get more books in this quaint, small town setting.

Pure entertainment from beginning to end. Of course you are hoping for a happily ever after ending, after all the title is THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE and the author Lori Foster has penned some of my most sigh worthy novels. Back to THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE that is filled to the rafters with humor as well as romance. The starring characters of this newest Lori Foster masterpiece are Yardley and Mimi. Best friends for life and we are treated to terrific dialog as witness to their discussions about anything. Remember BFF.
I have been most fortunate to review several amazing stories by this talented, entertaining author and to have read many more.
You are going to love Yardley and Mimi, two grown women whose banter is candidly laugh out loud funny. Yardley relationship with her mother and her aunt is not what you would call loving, healthy or supportive. Sharp angles everywhere you look. Mimi is a master of barbs and one-liners many directed at Aurora and Lillian.
Yes, even in a small town like Cemetery there is a vast array of characters to get to know. And through the creative genius – yes you heard me correctly – Lori Foster has given us an amazing journey into a lovely place where we get to meet some new friends.
The town of Cemetery has it’s business owners grappling with the consequence of the towns name. The Cemetery family founded this little burgh and has diligently worked to keep that name alive. Part of the historical importance. But for townsfolk, keeping the name attached to their shops and businesses has become a challenge.
Yardley is a wedding planner utilizing all the special touches that Cemetery has to offer. However you can imagine the awkwardness of having the word cemetery attached to her business. Along with other folks like a bakery, sweet shop, florist – well I am sure you get the picture.
So in THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE we get to meet all the interested parties and watch this town truly blossom under the tutelage of Yardley. Yardley is the proverbial breath of fresh air. That is her role it seems in the town and in her own family life. Yardley takes care of people, even those that you question being worthy of her care.
When Sheena and her brother Travis come to Cemetery it is to plan Sheena’s wedding. She has been totally in love with this small town, and this is where she wants to be married. At first Travis is uncertain whether this is an ideal wedding venue, but then slowly but surely he begins to see Cemetery through his sister’s eyes.
There is much to love about the town and it’s people. In THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE, with each turn of the page, we get more invested in it’s future. The future with charming and endearing characters like Yardley and her best and formidable friend Mimi whose story is also an important part of the base in THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE. And then there is the necessary four-legged furry character Dodger. Even this puppy has a vital role to play in the smoothing rough corners of some Cemetery folk.
All and all this is a great introduction to a series by Lori Foster. It is followed up with The Little Flower Shop. I read these two out of order. Each one totally stands on it’s own merit but if you are a fan of Lori Foster this series will reach deep into your heart. THE HONEYMOON COTTAGE is sure to garner a new batch of fans for this amazing prolific author.

I can't say enough good things about this book. It's another hit out of the park for Lori.
This is the 2nd book of this series and it's a wonderful story. You met Saul and Emily briefly in The Honeymoon Cottage. Saul has had feelings for Emily for a long time and his hints keep going unnoticed by Emily. She's sort of clueless regarding flirting and relationships. She went through an emotional divorce and now that she's 41, she has her flower shop, her Aunt Mabel and Uncle Sullivan and feels her life if full. Saul refuses to give up even though Emily feels she's too old for him, only by 2 years.
With a little push from her Aunt and Uncle and of course the town matriarch, Betty Cemetary, she begins to understand her strong feelings for Saul as the two of them get closer. Still unsure of herself, she relies on the help of her friends to guide her way.
Saul also has a life changing event on the horizon and he wants Emily to be a part of it.
You will laugh out loud and shed a few tears. All the feels are there. If you liked Kathleen, have no fear, she's back and still causing quite a stir in town. You will meet some new characters who are a wonderful addition to the town. This one of those stories that stays with you.
The flower lady has finally let loose just to prove she's not perfect! All the characters are warm and endearing and you will wish you were part of their crowd and live in the quirky town of Cemetary, Indiana. I can't wait until the next book!

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title.

While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

I look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023 and beyond.

Laura

Lori Foster's The Honeymoon Cottage is a wonderful read full of everything we want from a great romance novel. A strong heroine, a Sexy hero, Angst, heart, and that wonderful chase to happily ever after. Highly recommend!

When I first saw this cover, I was drawn right into the peaceful style and had to learn more. The description drew me in, and with my love of small-town romances, I had to check this one out. And oh yes, it was full of that small town charm that I adore and I found myself wanting to know more about all the interesting characters the town had to offer.

I had not known anything about this author prior to reading this book, which is perhaps a good thing as I now know that her books apparently tend to be super steamy. While it sounds like this one isn't AS steamy as others have read from her, it was certainly much more so than the clean reads that I tend to go for myself! That is certainly something to keep in mind if that's not your cup of tea.

Overall though, an enjoyable read and cute start to a series!

**I received a complimentary copy for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

Yardley is one of those people that don’t realize how truly special she is. Meeting Travis and his sister Sheena she is determined to plan the perfect wedding for her. Falling for Travis couldn’t be helped.

Travis met Yardley and realized he met his one but he has to keep things slow until after his sister’s wedding. He can’t screw that up. Yardley’s charm and love for her town made that task impossible.

I loved their story and meeting Mimi, Kevin, Betty and the rest of this amazing town. I hope we hear more from them!

Another good book by Lori Foster. I love the way she writes. Lots of love, laughter and emotions. It makes me want to be a part of the story, family.

This book is a perfectly wonderful romance with characters coming to realize their worth. It had a quirky town and great friendships and happy endings for all. However, I personally wanted more. In being perfectly wonderful, this novel lacked conflict. The hero had no flaws, everyone loved the heroine except for her aunt and mother who were so over the top. Everything worked out. The town "ogre" is tamed and everyone becomes friends. It was all just a little too idyllic for me because there wasn't any doubt that things were going to work out.

So if you're looking for a light beach read, this book fits the bill completely. There really wasn't anything wrong with it, it just could have been more.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Yardley is an amazing wedding planner who creates everyone else's perfect happily ever afters with the help of the other businesses of their small town of Cemetary while taking care of her often critical mother and aunt. Yardley finds herself tongue tied when she meets the brother of her new client. Travis wants his sister, Sheena, to have the wedding of her dreams. Travis has been father, brother, and protector since their parents tragic death makings sure Sheena feels loved and has everything she needs. While planning Sheena's wedding, Travis and Yardley are falling in love but agree to take things slow. Travis and Yardley find it hard to fight their attraction to each other. Will Yardley realize that her differences make her special and not the outcast she thinks she is? Will Yardley realize her mother and aunt truly love her? Will Travis realize that Sheena's fiance, Todd, truly loves her and would do anything for her? Will Travis and Yardley find their happily ever after? I loved The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster. The Honeymoon Cottage is an amazing story that has it all: laughter, friendship, great chemistry, family drama, nosy townspeople, and a mannequin. I would highly recommend getting The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

The Honeymoon Cottage by Lori Foster is the first book in the new contemporary romance Cemetery, Indiana series. It seems that the Cemetery, Indiana series is going to be one that changes the main characters between the books as this first book read fine as a standalone romance. I really love the characters in this book. The quirky small town in this book sounds like so much fun, and the old ladies in this book had me laughing out loud. Lori Foster grabs the reader by the heart strings and reminds us all that you never really knows what goes on behind closed doors.

I’ve mentioned before that I love pretty much everything this author writes, but I’m usually more drawn to her romantic suspense. However, when I’m in the mood for a sweet romance, she’s definitely an author I trust to give me a realistic story with witty characters that I’m easily pulled into. The Honeymoon Cottage definitely falls into that category.

Neither Travis or Yardley were looking for love, but that’s exactly what they found – with a little help from those who cared about them. As Travis soon found out, that was pretty much everyone who knew Yardley.

As with most of the books by Lori Foster, the supporting characters were just as intriguing as the central ones. I adored the quirky residents of Cemetery, Indiana and can’t wait to get to know them all a little better as the series continues. ❤
