Good solid read about a married couple about to divorce. The hero was once a champion skier and the heroine -well she has had a few jobs but wants to be a lab tech. She has returned to the town in Canada where they once lived in a beautiful chalet.

While she is sleeping, he arrives. He lets her know that she won't be going anywhere. She has returned to pack up her things (especially a cheap locket that she cherishes) They are snowed in for at least the next few days. The chemistry is still there. But she has a secret she never told him, and she feels why bother now?

I love a second chance at romance.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance/Harlequin Presents for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I usually love anything by Dani Collins, but this one fell short for me. I found Becca to be annoying with her insecurities and lack of trust. I felt bad for her but come on-be honest with your spouse. So for me this was just ok. 3 stars This will not stop me from reading other books by this author. I am sure many will enjoy this book.

Dani Collins is an author who never disappoints me. I've only read a small fraction of her books but each one has truly hooked me. She manages to make you care about the characters. Not only are their hearts on the line, but so is yours.

One Snowbound New Year's Night is the second chance love story of Rebecca "Becca" Matthews and Donovan "Van" Scott. The two had a whirlwind romance and married five years ago. Unfortunately, the two have not seen each other and have been separated for four years. After recently filing for divorce, Becca flies from Sydney, Australia to Whistler, Canada, to retrieve something valuable to her. She chooses to return to the home she and Van once shared on New Year's Eve, thinking Van would be with his family and not at the house. She could not have been more wrong. Van has recently found out something about Becca and he wants clarification. More importantly, he wants answers as to why Becca thought so little of their marriage and could throw it all away so easily.

Jet lag and emotional exhaustion kick in and Becca unexpectedly falls asleep in the bed she and Van once shared. She's startled awake by Van's presence and the stark realization that she's still attracted to him. Van is equally still attracted to Becca and it isn't long before they act on that attraction. Over the next several hours, the cycle of bitterness, unspoken truths, emotional confessions, lust, and passion play out on repeat. You get to know the characters through their memories and present self. Dani takes Becca, Van, and readers on an emotional roller coaster. I was exhausted, so I know the characters were. She really made these two open themselves up and be honest with themselves and each other. She showed that the foundation of a good marriage is communication first and foremost.

Dani might have shattered me with the story of One Snowbound New Year's Night, but she brought tears to my eyes with the epilogue. This is one story not to be missed.

Van and Rebecca have been separated for some time with their divorce almost finalized when Becca and Van meet at the house they had once lived in together. Clearly their chemistry is still red hot so what caused their marriage to fall apart?
Van is determined to get answers even as they're snowbound together. It turns out that she's never felt that Van loves her and his wealthy family has always made her feel in adequate. Then she finds out that she can't have children and decides it's better to end their marriage. Now she's come to Canada to find a gold pendant that her now deceased mother had once gifted her with.
Van had fallen in love with Becca and even though he was training for his Olympic Gold Medal race he married her. Shortly after she leaves him his family goes through a financial crisis and he wonders if she ever loved him or if it was just about the money. Now he has an opportunity to get answers and he's determined to seize it.
It's a cute story though Becca's insecurities get a bit tiresome.

This is one cute story that really packs a punch. Author did a great job summarizing what led up to being snowed in for these two. Becca and Van were great! Just enough heat to make getting back together a great idea. Five stars for me!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

Snowbound together for New Year's Eve in the home they once shared, Becca and Van decide to spend one more night together before they divorce. As they open up over old heartbreaks, are they saying goodbye, or starting over?

Becca and Van have a complicated history. It's easy to see how their past wounds made it hard for them to give each other what they needed. This story is a steamy and emotional journey of rebuilding trust and learning to love again.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This is a Second Chance Romance. Becca and Van was the main characters in this book, and I really enjoyed getting to know these characters. There was some hot and steamy times in this book. There was also some cute and sweet times. I loved the ending of this book. This was a short and fast read, but I felt there was so much put into so little pages. This was a very enjoyable read. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Presents) or author (Dani Collins) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
