Me pareció una lectura súper entretenida. Personajes son diversos y más de una adolescente se sentirá identificado con ellos.
Aborda muchos temas importantes y el autor logra llevarlos con mucha profundidad

I appreciate the free copy of this graphic novel from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I have conflicted feelings about this story. We follow Tristan and his adopted brother Esteban as their father sends them into Sarah's, a teenager, nightmares to help resolve her fears. This is a job the father runs in a private lab. The characters are interesting. They aren't fully developed, but it seems like the author is planning to slowly reveal more in future installments. The illustrations did well to portray a spooky atmosphere. I was immediately sucked into the story, and I wanted to read more. I, however, did not like that the story immediately jumped into the plot with minimal setup or explanation. It would have been nice to get to know the characters beforehand. Overall, I look forward to seeing more of these characters, and I couldn't put this down once I started it.

Such a good story! Love the art style, reminds me a lot of Coraline in a way. I found the plot of entering nightmares to cure them very unique and creative. Quick, easy read. Really, my only complaint is the cliffhanger at the end!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read the first 48 pages of this graphic novel before the release date.
The cover intrigued me a lot and the synopsis too but i didn’t like it a lot, i was bored for most of the time and maybe it’s because where only 48 pages. I didn’t like the art style either and maybe i’ll come back when i read the all book and change my opinion on it but for now i didn’t enjoyed that much.

I really enjoyed reading this. Don't usually go for graphic novels but defiantly will after this. Loved the art and how it flowed. Really looking forward to reading the rest!!

I was able to read a preview of The Nightmare Brigade #1, a graphic novel that centers around rescuing kids from nightmares. A scientist has his two sons go into kids' nightmares to try to find out the origin and cure them of their nightmares.
This was a really unique story. I thought it took a little to get into it, but once we got into the nightmare it picked up. The illustration style wasn't my favorite, but that is more of a personal choice.

I loved this graphic novel!
The drawings were beautiful, there was just enough text and the story was captivating. The book was about two boys going into people’s mind when they are dreaming to help them get over their nightmares.
The only downside is that I now have to wait for the second one to be available…
(I got this arc from NetGalley)

A very interesting graphic novel!
It's a bit sad that this version is not complete!
I can't wait to read the rest of the book!

This was a really unique and imaginative story with a cool art style to tell it. I enjoyed the atmosphere it created, it was creepy and unsettling, it almost reminded me a bit of Dr. Suess. I felt the dialogue was lacking a failed to give much personality to the characters which I’d love to see more of in the future. I think there could also be more added to the story to give it depth but overall it was very good.

*received for free from netgalley for honest review* pretty cool! would have loved this as a kid, creepy with cool characters and amazing art!

Very thrilling really enjoyed. Would love to finish when it is officially published. I liked how the illustrations were really nice but still slightly creepy keeping with a theme of the book.

The nightmare brigade is a graphic novel about two children (and their father) who have the ability to visit someone's nightmares and help them to overcome them.
This was very interesting and honestly, I can't wait to find out what happens next in the story. The art style seems perfect for this story, it looks kinda old and I loved it. The characters are interesting and I'm glad there is a disability rep! The only thing I would like to see fixed is the term “handicapped”, it doesn't seem right, and it bothered me a lot.
All in all, I liked the story and I'd probably read the rest of it when it comes out. Would recommend!

I was really excited for this book but overall it just fell flat. The concept was semi-interesting but the execution failed to keep me interested.

Rescuing patients from their worst fears by diving into and visiting their dreams is extremely creative. I’m so happy this will be a series and the concept was so unique that I wish this was a full length novel! I can see this getting darker and spookier with each volume.
I thought the style of the artwork was very fitting for the story, especially for a more complicated plot. I was able to follow along easily and I also enjoyed reading the disabled representation.
I can’t wait to buy the physical book when it releases!

The premise of this graphic novel is intriguing. Kids fight nightmares of people so they can get good sleep. However, this snippet of The Nightmare Brigade was confusing and heavy-handed. The plot was laid out immediately with no nuance but also still somehow made no sense. The language around disability was questionable. Early readers may enjoy the book though.

I rated this 4/5 stars
This was an interesting comic book read, the illustrations were incredible as well.
This is a story about a team of children known as the dream team to go inside someone's mind to find out...
Why they are having their nightmare?
What is it that they are truly afraid of?
Why do they keep experiencing this?
As we progress through almost to the point of resolving the issue, an insomniac villain is determined to shake things up, what if she wakes up?
The dream team will be trapped inside.
This was a very fun sci-fi, paranormal children's Novel.
With great meaning to no longer being afraid of the nightmares inside your mind.

Professor Angus has two kids that help him get rid of nightmares. They are Tristan and Esteban. The three of them are the Nightmare Brigade. Tristan and Esteban are going to enter Sarah’s nightmare while she’s sleeping. She can’t remember the nightmare for the most part. Sarah remembers only a little of her nightmare. Professor Angus monitors Sarah’s sleeping so he can tell Tristan and Esteban to get out before Sarah wakes up. Will they be successful in helping Sarah’s nightmare?
Reading this graphic novel sampler was terrific! The illustrations were perfect for it. There is a mystery, adventure and action! My only regret was that is ended too soon. I wanted it to continue into the whole volume. It’s a definite must read for anyone.

It was only a sample, so I didn’t get a full experience from the story. It was also blurry with the weird exceptions of some headlines or signs having a very clear and sort of fake looking text on them. 🤔
The plot itself was intriguing - two youngsters adventuring in strangers’ nightmares and helping them overcome their fears, even if it’s a bit implausible because of the father of the story putting his disabled son into very real danger. Still a great idea and sufficiently creepy outcome!😉
I would have liked a bit more information about our main characters Tristan and Esteban, and also perhaps a bit longer introduction to their more ordinary part of life. I think we got thrown into the bizarre and extraordinary a bit too fast…😅

Its an interesting story with great illustrations! I love how there is a disabled kid represented! And the plot seems amazing. Who doesn't love a group of kids taking down nightmares?! It also seems spooky and slightly creepy which I liked as well. Excited to read more of this one!

I have to thank NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of the first 48 pages of this book for an honest review. The final version will have over 100 pages and is scheduled to be published on February 1, 2022.
The story follows the adventures of the “nightmare brigade”, a dream team led by Professor Angus. With his two young sidekicks, 14-year-olds Esteban and Tristan, they have one goal: to help people get rid of their worst nightmares.
I liked the illustrations, even though the definition of the image wasn’t great. The storyline was mysterious and, as it progressed, it got me hooked. It’s definitely a page-turner, and the ending was nerve-racking. I really want to know more! On another hand, it’s also so fast-paced that there’s very little build hope for the action. Still fun though!
Although 48 pages aren’t really enough to fall completely in love with the characters, I appreciated that there’s one of the main characters is a disabled person, who’s also really brave, kind and honest. I’m just sorry that the author used the term ‘handicapped’, since it’s offensive, and I hope that is revised and corrected before it is published.
