2.75/5 stars

From the blurb I was expecting a little more, however, I think because of my high expectations I did not enjoyed this that much. I had some trouble with the writing and also I skimmed through most of the descriptions and stuff. The premise is good but I couldn't connect with the main characters.

This novel did start a little slow for me, but I felt it REALLY picked up after about 20 per cent and I simply flew through it then.

This Cinderella reimagining reads like a cheerful and romantic Hallmark movie, and I ate it up. I loved that Diana is a little sceptical of Griffin, but I loved watching their relationship grow and Diana's trust in him grow too.

I will however say, I was not a huge fan of Diana hoodwinking the family, only because there were kids involved.

Diana is desperate for cash to help her sister get the life saving medical treatment she needs so she lies on a job application to be the live in nanny for a five year old boy. Since she was taught to lie by her famous con artist mother she gets the job. While working she meets Griffin, who is an English Earl. He may not be a prince, but he is definitely her Prince Charming and a fairytale esque insta love ensues.

I’m sure this will probably be another unpopular rom com opinion because I actually foresee people loving this book, but I am left feeling a little unimpressed. Firstly (and honestly mainly), I have a hard time looking past Diana’s deception when it’s directly involving children. The thing about Diana’s mother was also strange because I couldn’t understand why it was any of Griffin’s business at all.

Overall there are a lot of words with not much happening in this kissing only romance, so unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. But Griffin is adorably swoony and the children are so cute. I do wish he would have bought her a pair of shoes though!

Against all odds, both Griffin and Diana are amazing people. Their chemistry is off the charts. I was a little worried that i wasnt going to respect Diana but have no fear: her determination to be a good person makes it okay. His dedication to following her lead and respecting her boundaries, 👌 they are remarkable. Milo and Sophie are awesome little kids, Alice is a hilarious side character and whew, can Ms Wilson write a kiss.

So, if you like The Prince and Me, Nanny Diaries, but with good people, and minor Heartbreakers vibes, I highly recommend this book.

I had a bit of trouble getting into this. Diana, a daughter of a con artist, decides to con a family to let her be the nanny of their boy. Sure, she is doing it to help her sister. Sure, the parents were insane. But starting out with a lie is always problematic. However, the story was cute, a true rom com and a hallmark-esq movie with an Earl, Griffin. I overall enjoyed it and give it 3.5 stars, rounded up. Thanks to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for an early read.

I LOVED the Roomaid so I was super excited about Cinder-Nanny. The plot was a Cinderella retelling that was full of magic and romance. Diana is a super likable character and I love that she will do whatever it takes to help her sister. This was a super slow burn and has the makings to be a hallmark christmas movie in my opinion!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book makes you wish there really were guys like Griffin in the world. He's just so damn perfect.
This novel gives you the warm fuzzies, and could probably be classified as a YA with the lack of sex scenes. I don't really have any issues with the writing or plot. I suppose the age of Miles and Sophie would be more realistic at 7-8 instead of 5. I've been in a classroom a long time, and never met any with that sort of vocabulary at 5.
An easy fairy-tale like read.

It has been far too long since I read a book by Sariah Wilson, and I enjoyed this one immensely. Diana Parker was desperate enough to take a nanny job where she didn't meet the qualifications, even though she felt guilty. It was for the best of reasons - to save her sister's health. Her sister's kidneys are failing, she is in the middle of an ugly divorce, and her husband has blocked her use of their health insurance.

Her new employers are looking for a live-in nanny for their son Milo for three months and will pay her enough to pay her sister's medical bills. They have requested applicants who are proficient in French, mathematics, and who can teach their child how to ski, among other qualifications. Diana doesn't have any of them. Her mother was a con artist and kept her out of school as they moved around a lot - one step in front of the law and the people she cheated. Diana goes to Colorado, and is offered the job, much to her shock.

Her new job will pay for her sister's treatments. The little boy turns out to be adorable, although he expects disaster to strike at every moment. Diana turns out to be just what he needs. Then she meets Griffin Windsor, a real English Earl. Griffin has a young niece in need of a playmate, and Milo and Sophie get on well together. She and Griffin are thrown together a lot during the playdates. There are some other things going on but I don't want to spoil the joy for any readers. The title, Cinder-Nanny, is a nod to the Cinderella story.

I received a review copy of this book from the publisher Montlake via NetGalley. These are my own opinions of the book.

This is a lovely sweet story of a sister who will do anything to help her sibling, Taking on a job she has no qualifications for, yet she pulls it of due to her determination to help her sister, and Milo is the little boy who benefits, her way of educating him works, Diana frees herself from the guilt she carries by having a conman as a mother with Griffin’s help, a real fairytale vibe throughout this book. The interaction between these two is endearing, and the banter is great.

I usually adore Sariah’s books, but this one was a struggle for me. There was so much drama over the fact the character wasn’t being truthful over her lack of nanny experience. I feel like the author was trying too hard to make it a bigger deal than it was. The whole “secret/ break up / grand gesture” plot could use some creative help. I will still continue to read her books, just want a fan of this one.

This is one of my favorite authors and one of my favorite books. Sariah Wilson never disappoints on her books. I feel in love with it and I can’t wait for people to read it. This is so far one of my favorites she has written.

Diana is doing the wrong thing for the right reason, and Griffin is willing to sacrifice everything for those he loves. Throw in some sweet kids, a strong and hilarious sister, and a wonderful employer, and you have more than just an awesome romance! This is just a really great book!

unfortunately, this book did not work out for me. it felt too long as opposed to the fact that many things happened in the beginning and i had no idea how the rest of the book would be. as one can tell by the title, it is a kind of cinderella inspired story (which i believe is part of the appeal), but to me the attraction between the main character and the love interest felt too insta and too cheesy. a positive aspect of the story was certainly the bond between the two sisters, it was really nice to read about how they supported each other in spite of how they were brought up. overall, i did not particularly enjoy this book, but i am sure others will.

What could come between a nanny and an earl in a fairy-tale love story? A beautiful well written love story that will remain in my heart/head for a long time.

An endearing, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy.

I really enjoyed this engaging novel. Diana and Griffin, as well as Alice, the Crawfords, and Sophie, were delights filling the pages of my Kindle app. Despite seeing some lower-star reviews about "Cinder-Nanny" filled with complaints that Griffin was too "nice", I have to say I'm immensely pleased Griffin wasn't an alpha-hole. I think his personality fit him like a charm, failures and all.

The story was sweet, but not sickly so, with enough sour notes for Diana to process through her headful of doubts. There were several moments I laughed or snorted aloud, adding to the warmth flowing off the pages. And there was plenty of (closed-door) sizzle... 🔥 Yes, slowburn romances can be torturous, but when they're crafted well, you enjoy every. single. burn. Mmm. 🙊 Diana and Griffin's romance sparked early, but it's long-burning, glowing embers carried the story, along with Diana's wonderful relationship interactions with her sister.

Ms Wilson knows how to build tension, write realistic dialogue and lovable, likable characters really well. Bravo!

NB I received an ARC of this novel from NetGalley. Thank you!
