Another awesome book in this series!
Matt and Kitty are once again draw into the investigation of a murder, a man that Matt has been asked to keep safe for a few days. It turns out that Trevors had quite a few people interested in him, and the jewels he had in his possession from a jewel heist. With the suspect list growing, and the list of motives as well, will they be able to solve this case? Along the way, Kitty also gets a little more closure on the death of her mother, from previous books in the series.
Love Kitty and Matt, as well as all the characters. This cozy mystery flowed easily, had some twists and turns, and a great ending. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I absolutely loved this book. The adventures of Kitty and her fiancé Matt are always fun to read. This cozy mystery is a must read for all of those that love to go back in time and experience life set at a different pace and tone. Ms Dixon captures the feel of times gone by To a tee. I just couldn’t put this book down and I’d love the addition of Bertie the spaniel - he added a little fun and mischief to the mix.

Murder Crosses Their Path…
The eighth outing in the Kitty Underhay series finds Kitty in wedding planning mode with her husband to be but when murder crosses their path then there is nothing for it but to investigate. The murder in the train carriage is certainly a mystery but Kitty soon begins making connections that may put her own life in danger. Delightful historical mystery with some lovely period descriptions, a cast of engaging characters and a very readable narrative. A fitting addition to the series.

I seem to be in the minority here as I just found this book OK. It didn't grip me. I found it slow in parts and far-fetched in others.

Book 8 of this fabulous mystery series! Ohh the storyline was fascinating, deep, intense, thrilling, and shocking! Honestly, as much as I needed to know how it ended-I didn’t want it to! I needed more!! Overall this was a fun, exciting book that gave me several hours of escapism and enjoyment.

This period detective story has a lovely feel of the thirties, with delightful descriptions of ladies’ Summer hats and tea and sandwiches by the sea. A ‘locked room’ murder, or ‘locked railway carriage’ proves to be no problem for Kitty and her fiancé. The main suspects are not too numerous to keep account of, and the plot is well paced. This is one of a well established series, but reads equally well as a stand alone book. I am now looking forward to reading the previous books in the series.

I love this series! I have read all the books and enjoyed every one of them so much!
This story combines the main murder plot as well as very clever subplots about the train passengers and the story of Kitty's mother is moving forward as well.
Kitty and Matt are such a great and lovable couple, I'm excited to see their relationship grow and bloom :-)

Thank you to the publisher who provided me with an e-copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I received a free ARC copy of this via NetGalley and the publishers in return for an unbiased review. I do love this series, especially the growing relationship between Kitty and Matt. This was an interesting mystery, tying together the proceeds of a jewellery robbery, a woman who’d had to give up a baby years ago, and then the murders of two people connected to the heist. Lots of guessing going on! Another Gray entry to the series, I’m already looking forward to the next one...

I love this series, so I was thrilled to receive an ARC of Murder in First Class.

This time around, Kitty and Matt (and the police) are trying to solve the mystery of a man murdered in a train carriage. Only the passengers in that carriage had access, so surely it should be easy? It very much isn’t though, and I had a wonderful time reading as Kitty and Matt poked into everyone’s lives!

I also loved reading about Matt and Kitty’s continuing relationship, and the ongoing saga with her mother’s murder. Bertie added some amusing moments, and I hope he’ll become a recurring character.

Helena Dixon has produced yet another fascinating mystery, full of interesting characters. I’m looking forward to the next instalment already.

I was given a free copy of this book, my opinions are my own.

I absolutely love this series! Murder in First Class combines a first-rate mystery with the ongoing gripping sub-plots relating to heroine Kitty’s family history and love life. On the mystery front, I couldn’t work out who’d done it and thoroughly enjoyed trying to piece the clues together. Meanwhile the sub-plots ramped up the tension nicely! I love Kitty’s no-nonsense, determined character. It’s a true pleasure to spend time with her and her fiancé Matt. Looking forward to the next book already!

Thank you netgalley for providing me an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This series is delightful. I have read all 8 books and love how these characters have evolved.

Miss Kitty Underhay, is now engaged to the handsome Captain Bryant, her partner in life and in sleuthing. In this latest installment, we have murder, a jewelry heist, and on a personal level, Kitty finds the closure she needs on her mother's death.

We see Kitty struggle with the demands of the time, expectations on women and the household, and her wish for independence, while also acknowledging her duty to her grandmother and the hotel.

Kitty and Matthew (Capt. Bryant) along with their good friend, Insp. Graville, investigate the murder of Simon Travers in a first-class train compartment. There were only 6 people in the compartment, and one of them killed Simon Travers. But apparently, no one saw anything... or did they. The main and most likely suspect is a traveling salesman who is later found murdered, leaves everyone stumped as to who could have done it.

This series is fun and all books can be read as a stand-alone, but honestly, they are such quick reads that you can read all the books and enjoy seeing the relationship blossom between Kitty and Matthew.
