Although most definitely targeted towards younger readers, I was surprised and honestly delighted by just how much I personally was able to learn from these quick biographies of noteworthy women and men from the Islamic faith. Not just from the figures who were completely new to me - several entries here were names that were already somewhat familiar to me, but I had never really gotten a grasp of who they were or the lasting influences that they left until now.

Both appreciatively informative and beautifully illustrated, this would definitely make a fine addition to any children's section or comic/graphic novel section of any public library.
