I loved Three Tainted Teas. This series has become one of my favorites. I love the relationship Mia has with her grans, and with Christina. The murder mystery in this one was really intriguing, though it was easy to guess who the killer was. The book was still very enjoyable to read though. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

There was a lot of drama, a wedding party that seemed to be weeks of activities, mystery, romance and lots of supernatural phenomena to keep you smiling. It was a light, fun story with happy wedding festivities to keep you entertained in a good way even while the main characters solved a Scooby do like murder mystery.

Three Tainted Teas is a cozy mystery. This writer has several different series published. I have found that each one is delightful and very easy to recommend to others.

Such a great series. I think Mia and Trent are one of my favorite book couples right now. I shook my head when Mia agreed to take over as a wedding planner when the first one was fired. I knew it was going to be good. The magic entwined with the great characters are what make this book and series so good. I highly recommend, but will say you need to read the first book to not get lost to much

Dollycas's Thoughts

Mia Malone is about to take on a huge job. She has been hired as a wedding planner for the first time and is taking over for another planner that was fired. It's a big wedding too. Amethyst and Tok are seen as Magic Springs' Romeo and  Juliet. Their families have been involved in a feud for so many years some people don't even remember what they were fighting about. Mia plans to give the young couple the wedding of their dreams and she knows it won't be easy. The first order of business is meeting with the former wedding planner to find out how much work she has ahead of her. Then she needs to get the in-laws and their demands under control.

Turns out the first step wasn't so easy as when Mia went to find the previous planner she was dead. It appears she was killed in order to kill the wedding. Since she found the body and benefitted from the woman's death Mia finds herself at the top of the list of suspects. Who knows, she may meet the same fate since she is moving full speed ahead with the wedding plans.

Christine has been asked to step in for a bridesmaid who can't attend. Trent and Levi become the girl's bodyguards and Gran equips Mia with a protective amulet so that Mia can get the couple to the altar to say their I Do's and fly away on their honeymoon and live to tell the tale.

I like my paranormal stories on the light side. I am not a fan of werewolves or vampires but witches like Mia and her Gran I could read about all day long. This time we meet some new "creatures", the groom's tribe. The groom's brother was a little over the top but the rest of the family had pretty normal issues for being involved in a feud. I was very pleased by the way these families were portrayed, they were kept nicely in the cozy realm.

I love the core characters Ms. Cahoon has created for this series. Mia is still learning about her powers but she has a great teacher in her Gran. Both are strong independent women with huge hearts. Christina, the sister of Mia's ex has moved in, works with Mia, and is attending culinary school. She and Mia have become best friends and work together so well. Trent and Mia's relationship is really growing as is Christine's relationship with his brother Levi. We were introduced to the guy's mother when she pitches in to help and I hope we see a lot more of her.

Readers are treated to a great whodunit full of twists and turns, witches and wolves, murder and mayhem. My personal suspect list was pretty long but it did include the right guilty person and they moved up the line pretty rapidly the closer we got to the wedding. The ending played out realistically with a believable motive just with some very unusual participants.

I always admire this author's writing style. She sets a scene with ease and delivers a unique story that is fun to read with engaging characters without falling into the trap of being overly wordy.

Three Tainted Teas was a charmingly delightful read. I can't wait to visit Magic Springs again in late March when Four Charming Spells is released.

Have you ever wanted to go to a murder mystery dinner? I’m dying (haha) to go to one, and the books in this series always give me that feeling.

Mia is a witch and a caterer, or a caterer and a witch… and she attracts murder like she wrote it! I love how she has to deal with the people in the local coven, which she refuses to join, her grans, her boyfriend- who used to be a powerful witch, his family, her apprentice- not a witch, the local police chief - no such thing as the paranormal, and all the clients and people ending up dead.

This time around she ends up as a wedding planner for a witch-shifter wedding, no drama there… And then the former planner ends up dead. And her apprentice, Christina, ends up in the wedding party. The drama and adventure is on point as usual. The only question seems to be, why kill the planner? She honestly wasn’t a nice person, was it because of who she was or to stop the wedding?

I love how the scenes are set and the characters come to life. And Trent and Mia are such a fun couple to watch play out on the page.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It took me awhile to read it due to circumstances in my life refocusing me. So glad to reach the end and feel the excitement for the next book. This series is really coming into its own now. The catering aspect of the story made this all the more exciting and I am glad to see that culinary aspect will continue. Just love Lynn Cahoon's books. Definitely looking forward to the next book.

Received this as an ARC via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I’m still a bit torn on this series. I keep feeling like there’s a lot missing, but Cahoon is finally starting to do more world building, which is necessary for even this level of fantasy. I liked how this installment brought in a new type of magical folks, but there was still a lack of depth in the information we got about them.

Mia has been working hard to grow her new business Mia’s Morsels which has experienced its share of hiccups both normal and paranormal. Yes, paranormal, as Mia is a kitchen witch like her grandmother, and is a newish member of the Magic Springs community, most likely named by its magical residents who reside right along-side with the non-magical folks who have no idea for the most part. So now you know that Mia is a very determined small business owner and devoted granddaughter, so determined that she lets someone convince her to step in and take over as a wedding organizinger. Now, I can see how she would make one fantastic caterer for a wedding, her first adventure in sleuthing involved catering an adult birthday party (One Poison Pie). A master organizer, Mia jumps in with two feet, or four if you include the help she receives from boyfriend Trent (yep he knows, and he has his own magic as well). Since this is a magical wedding couple there are more than the usual challenges including bias and prejudices, and it seems that some sabotage is involved as well as the death of the dismissed organizer. Mia will need more than just her notebook to keep track of this project and the suspects. This series has a great supportive crew, a cozy/furry companion Mr. Darcy who has his own set of challenges (Murder 101), and a semi-resident ghost who has seems to be part of a bigger mystery that is yet to be solved.
Aslo noted, I am a big fan of Mia’s familiar, Gloria, a kitchen witch doll, whose laughter sounds like bells tinkling. I am also a fan of Ms. Cahoon’s for adding a recipe at the end of her books, this time we get a yummy sounding peach cobbler. I wouldn’t mind if more recipes were added, hint hint!

If you think paranormal cozy mysteries are not for you, Mia Malone and the other residents of Magic Springs will quickly change your mind! Three Tainted Teas is the third book in the Kitchen Witch series and it does not disappoint When we first met Mia, a Kitchen Witch, she was establishing her catering business in an old schoolhouse in Magic Springs, with her grandmother Grans, also a kitchen witch, and her ex's sister Christina helping. Business has been booming for Mia and in Three Tainted Teas we find Mia taking over the role of wedding planner after the current wedding planner was fired....and then murdered. Of course this is not a normal bridal party - the bride's family are witches and the groom's are shape shifters, and they have been feuding for years. Mia, with the help of her boyfriend Trent, his brother Levi, mother Abigail and Grans are able to throw the magical wedding of a lifetime and solve the crime.

This book, and the whole series, has everything a cozy lover could want - great, complex characters that develop more with each new book, a cozy little town who's magical history is revealed with each book, some romance that never becomes the center of the story, and a complex mystery with many twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end. There are also 'side stories' that add to the enjoyment of the book - Christina's journey through culinary school and decisions for the future, Grans many attempts to release her boyfriend's spirit from Mia's cat, the mystery surrounding the schoolhouse itself.... This is a perfect book in which to get lost - but make sure you have plenty of time when you turn to page 1, as you will want to read the book in one setting!

I highly recommend Three Tainted Teas, as well as the others in the series, and will look forward to further adventures in Miracle Springs.

Another excellent edition to a wonderful series! Full of twists and turns that leaves you wanting more and enjoying each moment until the end when the killer is caught!

I really enjoy Lynn Cahoon. This series is fun with a little bit a magic mixed in. Mia Malone runs a catering business and unexpectedly has an opportunity to add wedding planner to her list of services. This might just be more than she can handle. The original wedding planner has been murdered and there is tension between the families (magical families). These are so fun to read. I love that the setting is in Idaho. I am an Idahoan and love reading and recognizing some of the towns and places mentioned,

This story is so entertaining and kept me turning the page. The characters are fun and the magic just adds a bit of spark to the whole book. The writing style is easy to read and the story flows at a good pace. No time to get bored.

Princess Fuzzypants here: There is enough challenge for Kitchen Witch Mia, building her catering business, and juggling the demands of living in a community where the human to supernatural ratio tends to tip to the side of the witches, and now shape shifters. The two groups have a long standing feud which threatens the upcoming wedding of witch and shape shifter. Someone does not want this union to take place and this someone is prepared to do anything to stop it, including murder the wedding planner.

That is how Mia gets ensnared into taking over. She is very good at it and she has things pretty well in hand with a lot of support from her family and friends. She might like to add weddings to her list of offerings- if she can stay alive. Even though her friend, the human detective investigating the crime, is trying to solve the murder, since he does not believe in witches or magic, she is on her own to find the killer. While it takes Mia the entire book to figure out who was behind it all, I confess, I twigged early. It did not deter from my enjoyment of the book. It still delivered some fun bits. And I do love her cat who is the reluctant host to a ghost. It is hard to explain so you will just have to read the series. Four purrs and two paws up.

This series is so much fun and this newest installment didn't disappoint. Mia Malone is a kitchen witch that owns her own catering company. When she's hired to cater a wedding, total chaos ensues. The storyline is fun, and the characters are so quirky in this book. There's paranormal without being in your face. All in all, this is just a well written, satisfying cozy.

This was a pretty entertaining cozy mystery. I did not read books one and two, but I don't think that hindered my reading on this book. It could stand alone fairly well, but there were a couple parts in the book it would have been helpful.

I liked the characters and the murder mystery of the book, but I was kind of hoping for some more magic to happen in the book since this book is about witches.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Mia has gotten a last-minute gig as a wedding planner for a local inter-species wedding. This wedding seems to be just trouble. When she goes to get all of the paperwork from the previous wedding planner, she finds her dead. As she navigates the twists and turns of planning the wedding, someone is clearly determined to stop this wedding from happening.

I really love Lynn Cahoon's writing. I haven't found a cozy that I don't like from her. This one is super fun because of the paranormal aspect. I really like the characters and the town. I don't feel as connected to these characters as I normally do. I can't wait to see what's next!

As an avid mystery reader, I'm always on the lookout for stories that are different and Lynn Cahoon has achieved just that. Three Tainted Teas creates a blend of charm, murder, magic, and weddings in a way that delivers something entirely original. The plot revolves around a wedding which serves as a basis to slowly reveal the different magical elements that the world consists of, including witches and shapeshifters. Feuds and murder make up Mia's third mystery which propels her into some uncharted waters while delivering a spellbinding next installment for the series.

📖 📖 📖

Mia is hired to cater her towns version of Romeo and Juliet. A bitter fued between the families is about to end when Amethyst and Tok get married. But when Mia finds the wedding planner murdered, she becomes the prime suspect. Can Mia help Amethyst and Tok get married or will become a casualty in the war between families.

I love @lynncahoon and the world she creates. The town of Magic Springs is filled with fun odd characters that just add a realness. I did have a hard time getting into this book. Once I got invested I enjoyed it but that and the fact that this won’t be a re read means it’s a three out of five book rating. (I highly recommend her tourist trap series!)

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

In the latest addition to the Kitchen Witch series by Lynn Cahoon Mia’s settling in to her new life in
Magic Springs. Keeping busy running her catering business and cooking school she’s approached
to cater a wedding one week before the “I-Do’s”. Cute cozy mystery with a touch of romance.
