Another splendid tale spun by Stephanie M. Freeman. Her signature style shines through as always, weaving a journey that takes you through both heaven and hell, and throws in the usual murder, mystery, and mayhem that I've come to expect from her.

If you're not a fan, I promise this one will bring you into the MMM madness!

Stephanie M. Freeman is a voice not easily forgotten. She has a skillful lock on the Murder, Mayhem, and Mystery genre evidenced by the literary craft poured onto the pages.

With a no holds barred approach, Ray didn't return to Durabia to play nice-she came to slay any obstacle in her path without wounding herself. Old debts need settling.

Sometimes poison doesn't kill, it just pisses one-off.

Stephanie M. Freeman has done what she always does...made the murder necessary --the Mayhem fun and the Mystery leaving one breathless. and wanting more.

Stephanie M. Freeman is the queen of Mayhem! This book is no less. I really loved this story. I could even see in my head, who would play Raye, Dimitri and a few of the other characters, because of her awesome descriptions. The story line is fantastic! A definite page turner - you can't read it fast enough then when it over, you are a little sad. I truly enjoy Stephanie's books!!

This book really grabbed my attention from the cover of the book, to the title of the book,I knew that this was one of the books that I really wanted to read in the series. I must say that I wasn't disappointed in the least once I started reading the story. I was instantly pulled in from the very first chapter and held captive until the final word of the last chapter of the book!!! I loved Raye, it was just something about her character that I really connected with. I was intrigued by the relationship between Raye and Dimitri because it was obvious that they had a connection stemming from childhood until adulthood but for whatever reason they never had the chance to explore it. Raye doesn't plan on coming back to Shadow Bay, however the death of her Aunt Carrie and mystery of what really happened to her brings her back to the place where her life changed and things in her past forces her to deal with ghosts she rather keep buried.
This book had a little bit of everything...murder, mystery, and mayhem, all while dealing with some pretty heavy topics of abuse and human trafficking. The author did a magnificent job of getting her point across without coming across as preachy or triggering for her readers. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series!!

Raye is a strong caring person who has been through so much to protect her family, from being incarcerated to framed by a former friend. She has chosen to stand beside, confide and trust the one man she has loved since childhood. He will also make a great partner with his law enforcement background and the love he has for Raye. I love that she has set out to help women who may be in trouble and protecting her family without consideringthe outcome.  She deserves the status Queen of Shadow Bay, someone to love her the return of family she was deprived of for many years and so much more. I recommend this book and the others in the series. Also, please read Kings of the Castle series, and Knights of the Castle they'll help you get familiar with some of the characters in Queen of Shadow Bay.

A mesmerizing tale from Stephanie M. Freeman who by far spins one great story of murder, mystery, suspense and romance. In her signature and eloquent style this is a classic “who dunit” when Raye Bennett comes to town to attend her aunt’s funeral. You won’t be disappointed with this romantic thriller.

They call her the Madam of Murder, Mayhem and Mystery, and with this skillfully crafted rendering for the standalone series, she definitely lives up to her name. There are only a few books in this series that have a dark edge, but Stephanie M. Freeman brings a story that is layered with tight prose and amazing plot lines. I thought she couldn’t get any better than her Shadows, Blood & Diamonds series, but this kept me turning the pages and finishing in one sitting. If you’re not familiar with her work, this is a great introduction.---USA TODAY Bestselling Author, Naleighna Kai
