I've never listened to a picture book on audio. It was an interesting experience that I don't think I will repeat. Perhaps I am not the intended audience for this format.

This book was wonderful and really goes to show that emotions are good things that we need to embrace but also learn how to control at different times in our lives.

*received for free from netgalley for honest review* Easy book for kids to understand about holding in feelings, like the simple but cute artwork.

This is the perfect audiobook to listen to with your kids while driving.

Not only is the story entertaining, but it also teaches a valuable lesson.

In the tradition of Aesop's Fables, children learn that all their emotions are valid and that they are necessary.

I rate OUT OF A JAR AS 5 OUT OF 5 STARS.

This audiobook was very well done (the narrator was excellent) but I think the story makes a much better picture book. I listened to the audiobook with my 6 year old daughter and we both agreed it was somewhat difficult to follow. I read the physical book with both my 4 and 6 year olds and we all loved the experience. I think it's an excellent book - just prefer this one in physical form.

Llewellyn has a lot of feelings, but some of them don't feel so good. Some he is not supposed to have. Some are too hard to control. So he puts them in jars. It takes a lot of jars to hold all those feelings! Someday, there may be so many that Llewellyn can't manage them anymore.

I am so pleased that I got the audio version of this story. While I usually feel that there's something missing when I listen to a picture book rather than explore the illustrations along with the text, Dreamscape Media did an excellent job with the narration and ambient music to help make this story an immersive experience. It was a very cozy read and one that I'll be delighted to share with my kindergartners and other young readers as we explore emotions.

Wonderful narration, accompanied by beautiful music and sound effects take this book to another level. The story line is wonderful and a great choice for any child especially those who struggle with their feelings. Lovely story.

I love this book. I love the emotions it presents. Well done follow up to the first. I will be using this with K-6 students. I am thinking of lots of activities to do with this.

What I’m pretty sure is a picture book as an audiobook… no thank you… though maybe when I get seasonal allergies and lose my voice..
The story itself is decent and important albeit super short. It’s important to express your emotions. Keeping them bottled up is not good for your health and can lead to leaks at the worst moment

I don’t usually listen to picture book audio books, but I gave it a shot because I love the cover for this title. The narrator did a great job! I loved the piano playing along with the story. You can feel all the emotions Llewellyn was trying so hard to get rid of. A beautiful story about embracing your feelings. I can’t wait to flip through the book to see the illustrations when it releases! Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this read in exchange for a review.

Fun little audiobook about bottling emotions and finding better ways to resolve them. Would be an excellent companion to a print copy for a young reader. The narrator is spectacular and quite entertaining. Special thanks to #NetGalley #DreamscapeMedia #OutofaJar for early access to this audiobook.

Note- I listened to the audio of the book. I did not have a physical copy, so my opinion is solely based on the narration.

Llewellyn does not like to be scared. So he put it in a jar. As he feels different emotions, he keeps putting them into jars. Until one day, there is no room and he breaks.

This is a very short book with an important message. Bottling feelings is not healthy. I think the message is conveyed simply for kids to understand.

The audio is great- the narrator is clear and they also use background noise to convey moods.

I received an audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

A bit awkward to be an audiobook but of course, for those who have eye problems, this will be beneficial. It just seems odd that a publisher would pay to have such a short picture book become an audiobook. But unlike the previous picture book I read, this one has value and merit for children to learn to control their emotions because everyone knows children are volatile. Llwellyn has to learn how to deal with his emotions.

First, I love the narrator! Such a perfect voice for the story. The background sounds, effects, and noises were a great addition to the story. It gave a spooky vibe to the story.

The overall message of this story is such a great one! It's so very important to teach children that every feeling we have, even the ones that are uncomfortable or tough to handle, is all a part of life. The metaphor of putting all of your feelings in jars, locking them away, and then walking around feeling not much of anything is so powerful and yet easy for children to understand. Just as the story tells us, we can only push down all the feelings we have for so long, before they break loose. This would make a great addition to a social skills library in a school and I'd love to add it to my classroom!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me an advanced audio copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Llewellyn is a bunny who has a lot of feelings. He wants to get rid of the bad feelings and put them aside. But soon he realizes that means he needs to put away joy and excitement and lots of other positive feelings too. Until one day he just can't hold them all back any longer.

This was a sweet story about handling your feelings. I think lots of children could find this beneficial. The audiobook was great, with lots of voice acting, music, and sound effects. I do think I missed out by not reading the physical book though since I bet the art is phenomenal (just based on the cover).

I'd give this a solid 5/5 for the narration, but a 4/5 for the story since I feel like this would have been much better in physical form than audio form.

Out of a Jar is about a boy who bottles up his emotions because he doesn't like how they feel. Llewellyn begins putting his emotions into bottles one by one and then begins not feeling much of anything. I like the moral of this story, that we need to express our emotions, learn to regulate them, and let them go. The audiobook is wonderful! The narration is fantastic and beautiful music and sound effects accompany the story. I would love to read the physical book because the cover picture is gorgeous.

Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for providing this audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review.
