This was a pretty good book. I was annoyed in places and I think the cover art could be better to draw people in more, but it was still an ok book.

Another Day, Another Partner by Rachel Mucha is an action-packed police rom-com that you won't be able to put down! The story revolves around Lulu, a police officer, who is recovering from getting dumped by her former police partner and flame. She is assigned a new partner, Dominic Delgado. Will sparks fly between Lulu and her new partner? And what will happen when her old partner resurfaces?

Here is a humorous excerpt from Chapter 1:

"Have you ever heard someone's name and immediately knew they were going to be trouble? You haven't spoken to them yet - maybe you haven't even seen them - but you can already tell, just by their name, exactly what they'll be like?
This has happened to me several times throughout my life - most notably, in the eleventh grade when Grant Hunter showed up as the new kid in school. Grant Hunter showed up as the new kid in school. Grant Hunter.
...
Grant Hunter, I already knew, was going to be one smooth, charming S.O.B., on a mission to sweet-talk himself into as many girls' pants as possible."

Overall, Another Day, Another Partner is a police rom-com that will appeal to fans of Janet Evanovich. One highlight of this book is how action-packed it is. I was expecting a typical rom-com with minimal action, and I wasn't expecting so many undercover missions, which just made it more exciting. Another highlight was the romance. It was interesting to see which man Lulu ended up with. If you're intrigued by the excerpt, or if you're a fan of rom-coms with some action, I highly recommend that you check out this book, which is available now!

2.5⭐️
This one was light and fluffy. Romance with some comedy, nothing deep and a pretty fast past plot with a slow burn. I wanted to like the characters more and wanted intensity between the love interests. A quick, safe read.

3.5 🌟
-I love Dom! He's comical, handsome and funny man and very consistent throughout the book
-I wish they gave Gina a more angsty, badass scene you know?? I kinda anticipated that she was a hidden gem in Finnigan's shenanigans
-I kinda wish there are more to action to the climax because it feels kinda rush for me. I also wanted to have some kind of drama between Ryan and Finnigan to disclose the you-left-me-to-die scene
-The Ryan-Val combo is *chef's kiss*
-This books was interesting from start till the end
-Val is my main girl, my main baby. Val did nothing wrong in this book, she was perfect. I love everything about her
-I have love-hate relationship with Luciana, this woman confuses and infuriates me a lot but at the same time I like her attitude towards things

Another Day, Another Partner is the debut novel of Rachel Mucha, and it’s a good one; well-written and nicely paced. Action and comedy are well-balanced. However, for a series called Partners in Passion, it’s not at all steamy, and the only bedroom activity is sleeping. This was a fun and fast-paced read. Slightly predictable, but in a good way that made the reader anticipate the twists. Lulu was no-nonsense, slightly accident-prone, but not in an overly comical way, and nicely self-aware. The narrative was in first person from her point of view and her inner musings were fun to follow. Dom was a great, grownup man who was good at his work, secure enough to handle a woman as a partner, and fun to be around. Together they made a great couple, in more ways than one. Side characters were kept at minimum, which was a good choice. The most important ones were Lulu’s sister Val and their father, who were both properly fleshed out and not mere props. They make a great supporting cast if the series continues with same characters. The book wraps up nicely, so if this a stand-alone and the next book is about different people, it leaves the reader satisfied. But I for one would like to read more about Lulu and Dom. 3.5 rounded up.

I've received an Arc from NetGalley. This book was cute. Lulu works in a Rhode Island police station. Her dad is the chief and she has really bad luck when it comes to partners. But Dom becomes her partner and things get interesting. This book was charming and cute 😁

I really enjoyed this book; it has everything, action, romance, humour. I’m hoping this will be the start of a series where we can see our main characters have further adventures with their career, even if they aren’t as dramatic as the adventure in this story

This was a super cute romance. It had a police procedural aspect, but felt too unrealistic to be considered one. I liked Lulu and Don individually but I never felt any genuine connection between them. The dialogue was fun and cute. Overall, it read like a Hallmark movie would be. Not very realistic, but left you feeling warm and fuzzy.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a hilarious combo of mystery, action and romance. Lulu, a small town police officer had gone through several partners and prefers to work alone after her last partner/boyfriend was a dud. Then Boston detective Dom arrives and might just be the one to change Lulu's aversion to partners! There is great banter between Lulu and Dom including plenty of sarcasm. You can't help but cheer them on.

While this is a romance book, it is not the spicy kind and leans more to the mystery/suspense side. It was a great read and strong debut love novel.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for the ARC of Another Day, Another partner in exchange for my honest feedback.

Lulu Martinelli is a cop in a tiny town in Rhode Island, mostly because she didn’t have any other plans after college and made her father, the captain, hire her. After several partners have quit her during the past year because she’s been impossible after a breakup with the love of her life and her first partner, Rob, she’s assigned yet another one, Dominic Delgado.

Dom is a Boston cop recuperating in a small town after a bad drug bust where his partner was killed. He’s easy-going and not about to let Lulu get on his nerves. But the small-town peace is disrupted when the drug lord’s people show up, and at their heels arrives Lulu’s ex.

This was a fun and fast-paced read. Slightly predictable, but in a good way that made the reader anticipate the twists. Thank you NetGalley for the arc!

This was a super fun and quick read!

Lucinda (lulu) gets dealt with rubbish partners during her time as a cop, but her dad (the chief) gets her a new partner who may be very different to what she’s used to..

This book covers equal parts romance and family, which I absolutely adored!

SIGH. I was actually excited to read this one. Unfortunately I found BOTH the MCs instantly unlikeable and then just flat out unreadable. I didn’t even get through the second chapter, giving up when the H said something that was such turn off:

“When I saw you this morning, I thought, damn, how’d I luck out and get such a babe for a partner? But now I see, I’m not lucky at all. You’re defective.”

This is supposed to be someone who’s spent years on the police force AND supposed to be a love interest? ICK. It’s 2022. If this book was out years ago, ok. But it’s being released now? After all the sexual harrassment cases in the news and vitims speaking out you are really going to start a book with this garbage? Instant DNF.

This book was quite a surprise. The writing is very good and fun and I really liked the characters.

Lulu (short for Luciana) is a cop and after the breakup with her boyfriend/partner a year ago she has had some 'issues' keeping a partner. Her captain (and father) partners her with Dominic, from Boston PD, and after he is attacked after his first day and hears his story, she realizes he needs help solving the case that caused his transfer.

I enjoyed the relationship of Lu and her younger sister and the banter and chemistry between her and Dom.

Looking forward to the next book!

A great read.
Police officer Luciana thinks she works best alone, so is not impressed when the boss, who is also her Dad, gives her a new partner. He is Dom, a big city cop, who has moved to their small town. She thinks there is more to his move than he is admitting, and she soon finds out more!

Looking forward to more from this author

Another Day, Another Partner by Rachel Mucha is a laugh out loud tale of a female cop who has had a series of crappy partners. The new guy is made of better stuff and may just be the one to stick. The family dynamics had me rolling. I highly recommend this fun story

Thank you so much, NetGalley and CityOwl press for the ARC!

This book started out slow, but as I got into it I loved every bit.

Despite Lulu's indecisiveness, she was able to stand her ground and get stuff done. Especially when she tries to make Dom leave, which obviously does not work lol. That was the fun part.

To be honest, I didn't expect a lot of action and all but it added more spice to the story.

Thank you to netgalley for the ARC! This book was cute. It had a little of everything. I didn’t really love Lucy’s indecision over rob and dom, but I get where she was coming from. I think the best part of the story was Val. Overall it’s a quick read that keeps you engaged. All opinions are my own.

This book was exactly what I needed this week! Lucy is a police officer in her small town. When a new bigshot (and hot) detective joins the force, they’re forced to partner up. The book has fun banter, enemies to friends to (maybe) lovers, and a big time drug dealer twist?! The story is relatively light and fun, but had a few surprises and twists and turns. Add to your TBR!
