If you're looking to start your digital detox journey, or want to know about how being chronically online can affect your health, then you'll want to grab this book. It absolutely amazes me how much the world has changed during my lifetime - and it's easy to not realize how being online and accessible 24/7 can affect you when it's become the new norm. Gregory presents a lot of information in an easy-to-read manner, and will make you reconsider being so attached to devices all the time. A great way to start unplugging.

How being connected and digital is affecting us in a number of ways. More on us and being online., good for those who are looking into this kind of thing.

I was really looking forward to reading this book, but I felt it unfortunately harped on the wrong pieces of digital addiction. I believe there is a way to talk about these things without including politics or touching on the "ridiculous" nature of gender neutral pronouns. I was really hoping this book would give good tips on how to limit screen time, re-connect with your spiritual self and nature, etc, but I found that I couldn't finish this book because of the viewpoint the author felt so strongly about. In very simplistic terms and using the author's own words, it really did feel like I was reading a book from someone talking about the "good ole days" without being able to set aside their own personal beliefs, and that for me sadly made this book one star.
