I enjoyed reading the little bit about each story in Cozy Case Files. Now I need to read them all to see what happens.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press, Minotaur Books for the ARC of Cozy Case Files.

I've been wanting to find a good cozy mystery. I've never read one but the appeal is there. So this was a great sampler to pick up and help me test the waters. As well as add to my TBR lol!

I really liked this book. It gave me short stories that introduced me to new authors from a genre I love. I would highly recommend this book of short stories to anyone.

This was the perfect book to take with me while I had a lot of waiting to do. last month. I enjoyed reading short stories from some of my favorites like Ellie Alexander. I recommend this book especially if you need great quick stories.

While I personally don't read previews of books very often, I feel like this is a great way to try new authors or new to you series. I would especially recommend this to anyone new to the cozy genre.

Cozy Case Files, Volume 14 is a compilation of the first few chapters of books from 6 different authors from St. Martin's Press. These compilations are great for introducing new readers to Cozy Mysteries as well as giving long-time fans of the genre a sneak peek at what is coming in the near future and making it possible for readers to decide which ones they want to read first.

This particular compilation contains chapters from Korina Moss, Gigi Pandian, Diane Kelly, Ellie Alexander, Paige Shelton and Rhys Bowen. Each of the books is part of a continuing series from the different authors with the first two being first in series. The little taste that this book has given of each of these mysteries has made me put them all in my To Be Read pile.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and St. Martin's Press and am leaving this review voluntarily.

Another volume of Cozy Case Files, # 14, as always with an author or two new to me.
I got to this so late that I’ve already read two of the books, Batten Down the Belfry by Diane Kelly and Bake, Borrow and Steal by Ellie Alexander. I did not like either very much but that may just be because I’m getting tired of these two series and their main characters.
Cheddar off Dead by Korina Moss is about a cheese shop owner and a murdered food critic.
Under Lock and Skeleton Key by Gigi Pandian seems like a YA novel to me.
The Burning Page by Paige Shelton is set in Scotland and this series has just never grabbed me. I liked her earlier series about the Cooking School with a granny and her granddaughter.
Wild Irish Rose by Rhys Bowen and her daughter Clara Broyles is my first dip into this series although I have read almost all of Her Royal Spyness series and enjoyed them all.
Try it, you might like this one better than I did. I may just be in a cozy slump

If you are looking to sample some upcoming books then this is the way to go. When you download this book you are getting the first several chapters of soon-to-be-released (depending on when you read it) cozy mystery books. I think that this is a great way to test a book out before you buy the full version.
As much as I think that this is a great concept, I am one of the crazy people who do not like cliffhangers... So for me to read several chapters and get invested (which is so easy to do with a good book) and not be able to finish it right away is very tough.

This was a fun short story sampler that had some great little mysteries and others just ok. I do enjoy this type of book sometimes as a reprieve from my massive TBR and this fit the bill. Overall, I would rate as 3.75 stars for overall entertainment.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

These samplers are always great fun to look through and I really enjoyed the preview of these upcoming titles. The cozy mysteries all piqued my interest and I would love to read more!
Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Like all samplers, this book had some novels I really want to keep reading and others that weren't my style, It's a great way to peruse some new books and see what interests you! The mysteries have different protagonists and situations, and almost all of them are part of a series. I'd recommend this book, especially if you are looking for a new mystery series and aren't sure where to start. It's nice as each sample is at least a few chapters so it's often enough to hook you into the book and want to get your own full copy.

Love the Cozy Case Files -- it is the best way to get caught up on new, upcoming cozy mysteries. I sincerely hope that the publishers continue to offer these. I've actually added all of the titles to my list of books to purchase, recommend to readers, and to read myself. Thank you!

I received this ARC via Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press/Minotaur Books, in return for an honest review. This is an enticing sneak-preview of six St. Martin’s Press cozy mysteries coming in 2022. These cozy samplers are such a great opportunity to see works from favorite authors and introductions to authors you might not know. I’ve already ordered several as a result of my sneak peek so be forewarned!
The sampler series includes the beginning chapters from each of the six books. Of the six, four are from published authors and two are series debuts. As noted on the cover, the authors are Korina Moss, Ellie Alexander, Gigi Pandian, Diane Kelley, Rhys Bowen (writing with her daughter, Clare Broyles), and Paige Shelton.
If you’re a lover of cozy mysteries, I strongly recommend trying this sampler pack. You’ll enjoy the beguilement as the authors spin their webs of intrigue and mystery. Such a fun way to start the year!

A wonderful, fun, cozy read.
The different stories in this collection, all added their own element of creativity and fun with characters that I could easily see myself wanting to get to know better.
There was not a "dud" in the sampler! I look forward to reading more from these authors.

Cozy mystery sampler is definitely a good description of this collection. The sampler provides a preview of a diverse collection of cozy mysteries, ranging from a feel good family meal, to a flipped house, to a bakery, etc. It shows that cozy can be a broad spectrum of genre but it manages to have things in common: a family or loving centred vibe, romance, and intrigue.

I only wish we got more of a preview of fewer books to get a better feel of each story.

Cozy Case Files 14 is a sneak-preview collection of 6 new cozy mystery novels. Released 4th Jan 2022 from Macmillan on their St. Martin's imprint, it's 212 pages and can be accessed on most ebook retailers (Amazon, Rakuten/Kobo etc) to download and read for free. This is the 14th cozy mystery sampler from St. Martin's. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately.

The collection includes a few chapters from each of 6 upcoming (or recently released) cozy mysteries by Korina Moss, Ellie Alexander, Gigi Pandian, Diane Kelley, Rhys Bowen (writing as a duo with daughter Clare Broyles), and Paige Shelton. Two of the previews are for series debuts which is always exciting, and there are several veteran authors with new books in very well established series.

All of them are appealing, and all of the included mysteries are reviewed (or scheduled) on my blog. The full mysteries themselves are all in the 4-5 star range, all are entertaining and well crafted. There are some good series releases coming up in 2022 to keep cozy mystery lovers entertained.

Definitely worth downloading the collection to test sample the upcoming books. Four stars for the collection as a whole.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes

y Mystery Sampler, Volume 14

I always enjoy the cozy case samplers. Each one features information about forthcoming books along with generous excerpts. This volume is no exception.

Inside are books by Ellie Alexander, Dianne Kelly, Korina Moss, Gigi Pandian, and Paige Shelton. There is also the first co authorship of a Molly Murphy mystery which is written by Rhys Bowen and her daughter.

I especially look forward to reading Under Lock and Skeleton Key by Gigi Pandian. It just looks like such fun. It feature Tempest Raj who fears that she was the intended victim of a crime. There is mention of Indian food too! I do note too that several other of these titles feature either food or baked goods, while Paige Shelton’s protagonist is a bookseller.

Cozy lovers get your copy of this free collection at your favorite e book seller. You can then plan your next reads.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.
