I am so thankful to netgalley for providing me an arc of this book as it was amazing. I was wrapped up from the start. It was intense in the best way. A mother protecting her child at all costs. A hero stepping in to save them both. The writing was so realistic I felt like I was in the pages witnessing it all go down. Amazing

The book opens with "he's found me" which starts off a wild ride of a story. Brooke and her daughter are forced to run for their lives again, which leads them to Michael's doorstep. He does his best to help them and keep them safe. The ending was great too, overall it was a great quick read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced reader copy.

This blend of suspense, romance and mystery is a real page turner. Brooke is trying to disappear in a small desert town when her life is thrown into chaos, Desperate and on the run, Brooke needs to protect her daughter. The story is a blend of romance and suspense. Don’t start this book before bed or you won’t want to put it down!

I really enjoyed the first half of the book. The storyline caught my interest right away, and I was invested in what was happening with the characters. Sadly, once the action started, it went downhill. It still could have been ok, but I really struggled with the inaccuracies. If you’re going to base a book in a real city, please do the research to make sure things like street names and police positions are accurate. Having lived and worked in Vegas for several years, the inaccuracies were just really difficult to deal with.

Bring on the suspense! This book has many plot twists and moments that leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next?

Brook is a young mother who has taken her daughter and is on the run. Her husband was murdered and her daughter, Izzy, was a witness. There is a target on their backs.

Michael trains horses to help others with horse therapy. I loved learning about it, I know that there is a bond between a horse and its person, but I hadn't considered how they can help a wounded soul. His patience, mainly due to his PTSD, with Izzy as he helps her to compartmentalize her trauma was fantastic. Izzy and Brook couldn't have had an accident anywhere else other than this hero's property.

There are some other characters who play an important role in this story, some for the good and others for the bad. Each of them complements the main characters as they struggle to bring justice to the murderer and the man behind him.

I struggled to get through the middle part of the story, but it was well worth finishing. The conclusion is one that I wouldn't want to miss.

3,5⭐ rounded up to 4

Good book with a very satisfying ending.

The synopsis sounded promising and made me hope for pulse-pounding action, but it was quite slow at times, and I wanted more action.

I believe I would've liked this book better if the story was told from the first person, inside the minds of Brooke and Michael, and not told from the third person.

I loved Brooke as a strong lead female character, who would do anything to protect her child and herself.

Kathi Oram Peterson has swept me off my feet again! Danger Unknown is full of excitement, mystery and heartache. The characters are well built and the story keeps you resting well into the night.

Danger Unknown was a very intense book where Brooke and her daughter, Izzy, are running from a murderer. You can feel the tension from Brooke as she is desperately trying to save herself and her daughter. This is great writing when you feel just as anxious as the characters. There are many unanswered questions that slowly are revealed as the novel moves along at a fast pace.

I really loved main character Michael, a vet with PTSD from his service in Iraq. He's now living the life of a cowboy in Montana raising therapy horses and boy does he fill those cowboy boots really well. His heart is big and he can't help but jump in to help Brooke and Izzy. Some of my favorite moments in the book were between Michael and Izzy, as he tries to help the young girl through a traumatic experience by introducing her to a special horse. I also want to give a shout out to Michael's friend Cap and his wife Little Bear Paw. They added a special touch to life in Montana and the beauty that is there. They both are pretty tough and pivotal to the story.

There are so many things that make Danger Unknown a fabulous book. It's chock full of danger, suspense, action, a little romance, and enough quiet moments to give you a breather before something else crazy happens. I loved Danger Unknown! Author Kathi Oram Peterson has written another thriller that hooks you and doesn't release the reader until the very last page.

This suspense story starts out with immediate heart pounding action! I was instantly pulled into Brooke’s world and trying to figure out why someone was trying to kill her and her daughter. Peterson does a wonderful job of pulling the reader into Brooke’s world and keeping them there until the very end. The world building was spot on and I felt like I was there with Brooke and Michael watching their lives unfold. Their story is full of emotion and heart pounding moments, and I could not put it down! I really loved the supporting characters just as much as I did the main characters. I hope Peterson writes another book with Cap and Little Bear Paw in it. Those are characters I grew to love in this story. Full of twists and turns you won’t see coming, Danger Unknown is romantic suspense at its finest! I received a copy of this book for free; all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the first book read from this author and I was impressed with her writing. Thriller books give me major anxiety, so I'm torn about this review. Haha.

The storyline was very well developed. The backgrounds of the characters (main and side) were in great depth. I think one of the best aspects of this book included the horse therapy references. You could tell the author had done her research on the topic and understood what amazing miracles could come from equine friendship.

Overall, I thought it was a good book. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to tie divine guidance and religious faith to thriller/suspense. There are definitely some triggers for people but that's to be expected for this kind of novel.

I'd read another book from her, but only when my mental health was in a better state haha.

Wow!! This is an addictive suspense… I was frantically flipping pages because I was so engaged in Brooke’s story. Brooke is in hiding with her daughter from her husbands murderer. Romance, mystery, intrigue… fast paced and this is truly one you won’t be able to put down!

This was a very engaging, turn-the-page book. Brooke and her daughter are hiding out. Her husband was murdered and the man that killed him wants to kill Brooke and her daughter Izzy. They are on the run once again when Brooke falls asleep at the wheel. Izzy finds her way to the remote home of Michael, a war veteran who is fighting his own battles. Michael can't just turn them away. Like an onion the layers of their story are revealed. as they run for their lives.

The is a great romantic, suspense story. It is easy-to-read and grabbed my attention from the very start. There is a lot of action and twists. Each character is unique and fits will in the story. This is the first book by this author that I have read, but I would definitely read another.

I thought this was a really good suspense. It had me on the edge of my seat from the first page. I really liked the characters and I liked how they worked together to figure out who was behind everything and why. I also liked seeing the healing that took place with the main characters and the use of horses for therapy. I thought this book was really well written and one that was hard to put down.

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

WARNING: Do not start this book at night! If you do don't plan on getting any sleep. Also buckle up for a heck of a ride! The first line "He's found me." drew me in immediately and the book had my full attention! Brooke and Izzy are hiding from someone and running for their lives. Thank goodness Izzy (Isabelle) found Michael's cabin and was able to lead him to her mom's wrecked car, but he had no idea of the danger that they'd soon be facing.

I loved Michael and how willing he was to help Brooke and Izzy. I liked that his previous military experience helped him help them and how his own struggle with PTSD helped Izzy through her trauma. Speaking of Izzy, she's one brave little girl and had been through a lot in the previous 6 months. The scenes with Izzy and horses were adorable and I feel the way they were placed in the story gave me little breathers from the suspense.

I had a theory of how Gerald (the bad guy) kept finding Brooke and Izzy, I was close but was completely surprised when it was revealed. I NEVER would've have thought of that! I also had my theory about Brooke and her parents and was a little surprised by that too. At one point I thought the bad guys might win--things were not going well but then another twist would come and I could relax just a bit...but not for long.

I shouldn't have been surprised how quickly the suspense escalated, as I've read other books by Kathi Oram Peterson, and they both had me on the edge of my seat. I read this book in about a day and a half because I couldn't put it down. I told myself "I'll take a break at the end of the chapter", but then the chapter would end with another twist and I had to keep reading. This girl needed answers and she needed them now. (LOL)

This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I thought it was okay. I felt like it touched on several different things in a superficial way…things like horse therapy, PTSD, corruption. I think some of these could have been developed more.

The characters are what really make a story for me and I had a hard time connecting to Michael and Brooke. They were almost instantly committed to each other. It didn’t feel very authentic. The relationships that I did appreciate were the ones between Cap & his wife and Michael. You could tell that they had gone through some hard things together and would support each other no matter what.

Thank you to Covenant Communications for providing me with a free e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This book is full of suspense and intrigue, but also good Samaritans and a little romance. There is a lot going on in this book. I'll admit I thought it was coming to a resolution and then looked down and realized I was only at 50%. The book stalled a little for me there, but when it picked up it went really quick. I loved Brooke and Izzy and my heart ached for everything they were going through. Michael is wonderful and such a big help. I enjoyed the story and the intrigue. I actually feel like the ending wrapped up a little too quickly and would have liked another chapter, but it was still a good read.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through Netgalley and this is my honest review.

Gosh darn this was a good book

I enjoyed this clean thriller/romance about a mother and young daughter on the run from the killer of her husband.

Luckily they stumble across a brave cowboy with a difficult past that steps right up to help them.

The language was as a little hokey at times but I enjoyed the story, the characters, the horses, and the suspense. I would actually rate this at 3.5 stars.

I received this book from Covenant Communications through Net Galley in the hopes that I would read it and leave an unbiased review.

I was thoroughly enthralled with this romantic suspense. The romance was well paced and was not the central focus of the story, which was good, because this is an intense story. The antagonists were enough to keep me on the edge of my seat and almost believe that they were going to win. There were breadcrumbs through the whole story but I am certain there were things I didn't see coming.

I loved this story because it was unexpected. It addressed trauma and PTSD in the middle of them experiencing trauma and trying to figure out the mystery. I suspected one of the plot points and the truth was even more devastating than my theory.

This was a gripping novel that had me nearly screaming out loud at the bad guys as the events of the story unfolded. There were well deserved moments of peace before my heart was ripped from my chest again at the next turn.

This author does an incredible job with her suspense and I look forward to her next offering.

I received an early copy through the publisher on NetGalley and this is my honest review.
