This is a cute book about a fish with a wild imagination. I really loved getting to know him and all his thoughts.

This book while it does have words it basically uses the pictures to tell the story. And I like the pictures more than I like the story. The story has very few words and is very repetitive and just overall this book does not work for me. I do like the illustrations but not enough to actually add this book to my collection.

This is an incredibly cute book for young ones that packs a big punch with imagination. The illustrations are great and engaging for little eyes. I’ll be gifting this one to the family kids.

This is a very short book about the imagination of a goldfish. I wish they give him more thoughts but this is a realistic book. Not much else to it. What thoughts do you think your goldfish thinks of?

My kids and I enjoyed this book! It is a short book that is easy to read for early readers. I've never thought about what a fish thinks about, but this book makes you think.
The pictures are great! They are simple but so fun. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Pencil/Watercolor illustrations in muted tones compliment this short, sweet story about the inner mind of a fish. The large text compliments the story and fits the softness of the book's structure. A gentle read, with abstract concepts, it may lead to many complex thoughts. There are enough concrete ideas, however, that will allow, young listeners to apply this to their own thoughts. A good introduction to how we think about what we think about.

This is an adorable kids book with enough snark and tongue in cheek for adults. It’s very dr suess like.

What do fish think about while swimming in their bowl. You will be surprised. There is much to see from his bowl and to wonder about. Some are ordinary things to climate control.

I recieved an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This book about what a fish is thinking about as he swims in his bowl is adorable.

Thank you to the publisher, authors, and illustrator for a chance to read this children's book in exchange for honest feedback. Right off the bat, I think that the title is kind of confusing in context with the rest of the book. What I Think About When I'm Swimming would be a better fit, maybe? It's just a bit convoluted and awkward. Either way, the illustrations remind me of crayon drawings. I absolutely think they're cute, engaging, creative, and interesting. The book is very short in its word content and I think it would be a good read for bedtime or a quick storytime, or even something a kid would read for practice sessions. All in all, a good book for its aims.

I mean how cute and precious is this picture book! I am in love with the presentation. It feels like a beautiful dreamland with just the young fish dreaming about different things we used to dream about when we were kids. An exploration of our young minds what we dream and imagine about when we couldn't wait to grow up and explore the world outside our homes. Love the illustrations so much!

A smart and wonderfully illustrated book about what fish think about. I think it's funny and simple and very reread-able.

I'm a little confused by the title. Is it meant to be "What I Think About When I'm Swimming"? That would fit the text of the book. Otherwise I'm not sure why the fish would be thinking of all these things while he's thinking about swimming. But I digress...

The book is a cute journey into the imagination of a fish, who has varied thoughts throughout the day. The story ends on a punchline, but otherwise is more of a meditation than a plot-driven tale. The illustrations are definitely cute. They have a bit of a Seussian look to them, which is appealing. This would be a nice, calm book for wind-down time for pre-K and early elementary readers.

Well, I don't think I'd have rushed to get this reprinted (it came out initially in 2014, apparently). I knew the goldfish would tell us he/she/it thinks of something while swimming round the bowl, and that it might be a twist on the two-second-memory thing or something excessively high-falutin'. But here it was neither – fishy has ideas for books, but generally paddles along in the middle of the two extremes, and this just peters out as a result. More could have been done with this.
