Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this amazing novel!

I hate to admit that this is the first novel I've read by Janet Evanovich... I know I am behind the times and need to pick up the Stephanie Plum series, don't worry - it has been added to my TBR.

I absolutely loved The Recovery Agent. It was a fun, quick paced read with a brilliant setting and characters you could fall in love with. There was a perfect amount of mystery, action, relationships, and a bit of romance. This series will continue to be something I read as soon as it is released, and will recommend to others.

A new series by Janet Evanovich featuring Gabriela Rose, a recovery agent whose adventures read like Indiana Jones.

Gabriela has an ex-husband, Rafe Jones, who joins her on her hunt to recover The Ring of Solomon in the jungles of Peru. Lots of daring adventures in this action adventure cozy with romantic sparks.

I only rated this 4/5 because being a first of a series the character development is a bit weak. I know it will improve as we get to know the characters. I am looking forward to this one!

Bonus, first chapter of the upcoming Stephanie Plum cozy coming out in November 2022. I can hardly wait!

I volunteered to read an ARC through Atria on Net Galley

A fun, enjoyable, adventure-filled book! Gabriella is a recovery agent, who looks for lost properties and artifacts. She is tasked by her family (and the family ghost) with recovering the Seal of Solomon, a legendary ring that's supposed to give great powers to whoever has it. To do so, she has to cooperate with her ex-husband Rafer. In the process, they find themselves working with a drug lord's family against a demonic cult leader who is also looking for the same artifact. If you have read the Stephanie Plum books, then the wit and humour in this book will be familiar. Gabriella is bad-ass and cool under pressure. Some of the situations she finds herself in could be over the top, but they're not out of place in these kinds of books. Overall, it's a wonderful start to a new book series.

**Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing an ARC for an honest review.**

Loved the fun and entertaining writing style. Lots of action right from the start and it kept running right until the end. I love all of Janet’s books and I’m excited to see what’s next in this series.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc

I was so excited to read this novel….I’ve been a fan of all the authors previous work and was intrigued by this new character she has created. I love Janet’s books for an escape from reality, a few laughs, and a great read.

This book had me thinking Indiana Jones meets jewel of the Nile. I love the new character Gabriella ( from a previous Stephanie Plum book) and the idea of her treasure hunting adventures. Throw in a sexy ex husband, a crazy family and humour and I was hooked. Hoping her next adventure is published sooner than later.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley All opinions are my own.

I would recommend this book to my friends and family and book club members, it was a quick lighthearted read.

This is the first of a new series, and another winner by Janet Evanovich. I love the fast paced action, the witty and funny writing style, and most of all the chemistry between Gabriella and Rafer.
I love everything about this book, except for one thing. As much as I love the character, I hate his name. Rafer???? Wth is that? That's not a name. It's very close to raper, and I hate it so much, that it almost spoiled the book for me.
That's the only reason I can only give 4 stars. Without that name, this is a 5 star book all the way.

As a recovery agent, Gabriela is hired by individuals and companies seeking lost treasures, stolen heirlooms, or missing assets of any kind. She’s reliable, cool under pressure, and well trained in weapons of all types. But Gabriela’s latest job isn’t for some bamboozled billionaire, it’s for her own family, whose home is going to be wiped off the map if they can’t come up with a lot of money fast.

Inspired by an old family legend, Gabriela sets off for the jungles of Peru in pursuit of the Ring of Solomon and the lost treasure of Cortez. But this particular job comes with a huge problem attached to it—Gabriela’s ex-husband, Rafer. It’s Rafer who has the map that possibly points the way to the treasure, and he’s not about to let Gabriela find it without him.

Gabriela first appeared in a cameo in Stephanie Plum's book. She is definitely NOT Stephanie. But the writer's trademark humor and wit are fully showcased here. It's a great adventure/rom-com/mystery. :) I do like Gabriela and Rafer is charming. A light breezy fun book to read.

Thanks to the publisher for the ARC.
