Beth, Binnie and Liv are new moms and rely on each other to get through the doubts, fears, sleepless nights and endless questions that go with being a new parent. The little trio is getting along just fine until Ange joins their group. Ange is perfect in every way; wealthy, beautiful and capable of having and doing it all. While the other moms hop on board Ange’s perfection train, Liv is left on the outside looking in. And then Ange plans a girl’s trip to Greece, something Liv can’t afford, but that she can’t say no to either. But Ange makes it clear to Liv that no matter what she does, Liv will always be less, smaller somehow. As emotions rise and boil over it becomes clear that nothing will ever be the same. A timely book about our society where motherhood has become some kind of insane competition.
