It was a fast paced and easy-to-read novella, which will undoubtedly make anyone feel in the Valentine's Mood. Cute books are just MY thing so of course I loved it.

Amara is a fun protagonist who I founded very easy to empathize with, she is a bit apathetic with Valentine's Day and all things love related due to previous bad experiences and also believes that love should be shown every day, not only on February 14, Val on the other hand, is her opposite, he made me reflect about Valentine’s day, his way of thinking and seeing the world seemed very cute.

Apart from that, Val seems to me like a memorable and refreshing character, he is not the typical man who hates love and all the things related to it that we usually find in the books, for him the details and Valentine's Day do have a meaning and that made me feel kind of…warm? soft? both?

I will definitely reread this novella on February 14 while I stay at home drinking sangria and wishing to have such a cool date such as Amara and Val.

After seeing the pun title of Sarah Robinson's novella, 'Mall You Need is Love', I had to try this cutesy romance for myself. As is perhaps inevitable with a novella, it was a fast paced romance which was left slightly underbaked. Amara owns the arcade next door to Valentino's jewellery shop. The best element of the story is the mystery of Val's shop being robbed the day before Valentine's day which leads to a satisfying twist. The romance is cute but convenient. A quick and sweet read. 3 stars.

It's an easy and quick read, perfect if you need some uplifting. It made me laugh a few times and is full of feelings, some I can relate to, especially at the beginning. The description of the book is exactly what you'll get nothing more nothing less.

I do have the feeling that the story was a bit rushed and could have been longer, but then it wouldn't be a short story anymore.

A cute short story to read before or on Valentines' day to get in the mood and get some romance. But don"t think I'd read it again or would recommend it out of the season.

A cute, very cheesy and fast read, that sadly didn't really do anything for me.

This book only has about 80-90 pages and it is a novella, so the story being short is expected, but everything in this felt extremely rushed. I liked the beginning but it kind of went downhill from that. There is some "deep talks" but they feel awkwardly forced and also, through the course of the book, I do not see how the two of them could be head over heels in love after only a few days and even less conversations. Maybe it would have been different if the book only focused on the night at the mall and what they talked about there, so we could have actually gotten a sense of their personalities, the things they talk about and what made them fall in love with each other.

I also have to point out a statement I thought was really weird: "I mean, after Aaron...I could probably be convinced to join you in the lesbian web". Being lesbian isn't something you choose and I hate how the protagonist acts as if it was easy, especially easier than being straight (there is another similar statement). I really hope this gets changed.

To conclude: this is a short, romantic story that can be finished reading in less than an hour, so, if this is something you're looking for, go for it!

This novella is a quick and easy read, perfect for Valentines Day. Arcade owner Amara is continuously annoyed by the noise complaints of her mall neighbor, Valentino and his jewelry store. When the two store owners are thrown together after a robbery, sparks begin to fly and they realize the other is not as bad as they first thought.
There's not a lot of build-up to the romance in this story, but that is largely due to the brevity of the book. At some points, it does seem as if there are missing scenes that need to be included, but even without them, you can still feel the chemistry between the two lead characters. We get to witness Amara change from a single woman, bitter about Valentines Day to a woman who is open to love. The story wraps up with a cute little bow at the end and makes you feel good.
I give it 4 stars because, for a short novella, the author does a great job of pulling you into the story and making you feel the emotions of the characters. I definitely recommend this for a fun Valentine read! I would also like to check out other titles by the same author.

This was a cute and cheesy little novella that was a very fast read and a nice little "palette cleanser" between some heavier, darker and twistier books as of late.

This didn't have a ton of depth, but it was a novella so I wasn't expecting it to be super insightful.

I thought it was a great and short little read and an enjoyable introduction to this author.

“Mall You Need is Love” is a cute novella worth 3 stars. It is a fast paced, easy read featuring insta love, a little mystery, and the grumpy-sunshine/rivals-to-lovers trope.

Amara Hart is a realist who owns an arcade and doesn’t believe in the commercialized Valentine’s Day holiday. Valentino Rossi is the owner of the jewelry store next door. The two have a mini rivalry going on due to the noise that Amara’s arcade generates, but they don’t meet until Val’s jewelry store is robbed and the two form an instant connection. I am not a fan of insta love, but for the length of the novella, it worked for the story. It’s short, sweet, and a very cute read for Valentine’s day. I laughed during their interactions, especially the raccoon part, and I found the ending very endearing, especially the epilogue. If you’re looking for a cute read to quench your Valentine’s Day thirst, this is a great story to start off with.

This is a cute, short read. It felt rushed, not particularly fleshed out so their relationship didn’t feel fully formed. That said, I did like both Val and Amara and I was rooting for them. There was also the little mystery of who robbed Val’s store so it is a well rounded story for one so short!

This was a cute, fast-paced Valentine's read. If you want something quick to read in February then this is perfect for you.

This was a quick and easy novella read by Sarah Robinson. Amara Hart is a cynic when it comes to love. When the retro-arcade she owns is used to rob the next door jewelry store she agrees to help out with a neighbourhood watch to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Valentino, the jewelry store owner, is known as a casanova who helps others express their love through the jewelry he curates. He struggles to understand Amara's hate of Valentine's Day and sets out to help her discover some good about it.

It's typical of a rom-com movie you would see, including the cheesy one liners and happily ever after. Being a novella this was instalove at it's finest, and I found it a little to fast for me. I didn't get a chance to feel like these two were meant for each other. The novella had some sweet points by both characters and is cute and adorable. I think if the novella had 20-30 more pages it would have given me more time to feel the chemistry between the couple and be rooting for them more than I was.

I genuinely didn't know what to expect when i went into reading this but i am not disappointed!

enemies-to-lovers? CHECK
a cute romance? CHECK
funny characters? HUGE CHECK

this book is clearly right up my alley with it's funny and charming characters together with the plot that would literally make you laugh out loud because of their back and forth banter and their perfect chemistry. it's cheesy, it's cliche, and it kinda has that hallmark movies type of vibes and i loved it

this is perfect to get you out of your reading slump with its quick pacing and storyline. it literally got me hooked from the first chapter and VALENTINO OHMYGOD have my babies please

over all the book is charming, poignant, fun and heartwarming that could make you rolling off the bed laughing or have you gasping for breath because of it's cute scenes.

Amara Hart is that cool, gets along with everybody, arcade owner in a shopping mall who is still very much single after her terrible ex. Valentino Rossi is the jewelry shop owner who got robbed a few days before Valentine's day. After much persuasion, Amara decides to help Valentino and that is when she learns who really Valentino is.

I was initially surprised that this was such a short book. I requested for this book because of the illustrated cover, it is really cute!

For the length of this book (82-83 pages), it was such a quick and easy read. Super cute and fluffy, I liked Amara's kindness and thoughts. I liked Valentino's intentions in making jewelry for people to express their love through. It is very much love-filled and appropriate book for Valentine's day. Both of them are very in tune with one another and it showed good chemistry between them.

Overall, if you want a quick read during Valentine's day (whether you are single or not), Valentino and Amara can be your valentine for the day.

this had such a cute premise and i love seeing a couple where one believes in love and the other doesn’t. this book was unfortunately very underdeveloped in my opinion. it’s a novella so it’s supposed to be short and have some insta love, but the way it was done in mall you need is love wasn’t great, bad even.

the characters were underdeveloped and certain details said about them in the premise weren’t even talked about in the book or were only glanced over telling the reader about it but never showing it. the premise talked about how silly love songs are what make val get out of bed in the morning but this was never brought up in the story. i would’ve loved a playlist or chapter titles/headings with some of his favorite love songs.

the pacing of the whole story was kinda off to me and the characters barely talked to one another before they got together at the end. i would’ve probably loved it more if it was just mostly them “patrolling” the empty mall for a night and them having actual conversations.

it was a quick and easy read though i’ll give the author that.

When Val’s store gets robbed and Mara’s power goes out just before Valentines Day, they have to spend the night together and patrol the mall. During this time they get to know each other better and they start to develop feelings. Over the next few days, these feelings start to evolve more but will anything ever come out of it?

This is a cute short romance perfect for upcoming Valentines Day and only took me around an hour to read.

Let’s get into my thoughts:
-this is a really sweet short story and if you like short romances this is a great choice! On the other hand, if you like a slow-burn with more intense feelings that develop over a longer amount of time, then this probably wouldn’t be a great choice
-I love how Amara has a unique description and isn't a basic character!
-so why did I rate this a 3.5 star? Honestly, I really enjoyed the book but I feel that the romance in it was very rushed. If this book had like 20 more pages dedicated to romance and flirting, I definitely would have enjoyed it more.
-this was a little predictable but I love the story and plot in general.
-I do feel like I would forget most of this book in a matter of months.

I have read a lot of romance novellas so I know that you have to expect a certain amount of instalove but this was just too much for me.

The story follows Mara, an arcade owner in a mall full of shops that all have puns in their names. When her neighbor shop owner is robbed, Mara and Val team up to form a neighborhood watch to see if the robbers strike again. This lasts one night in which Mara and Val go from knowing nothing about each other to being super into each other.
The resolution of this book just seems really forced and unrealistic. Too neat.
The cover also makes is seem like it is going to have a little spice but no spice was had. Mara and Val’s relationship just felt like coworkers to me.

This was a quick, cute holiday read. There are some unexpected twist woven throughout. You definitely can’t judge others by their appearance or history or you may find yourself surprised.

Exceptionally quick-read with the fun layer of Valentine's Day-lover with a Valentine's Day hater.

Amara and Val are paired together after both of their store are involved with a theft of jewelry from Val's store. The two form a sort of "neighbourhood-watch" to make sure the thief doesn't return. Quickly into the night, Amara realizes that Val isn't the casanova that the mall makes him out to seem. Val appreciates the inherent generosity that Amara seems to show everyone. When the mystery is solved, neither character is resolute on it being the ending of their relationship and both decide to take a chance on love.

To be honest, I'm not sure I'm qualified to give an adequate rating on the book as I seldom read novellas. I will say this: the book was quick, plot progressed in a sensical manner, had a few heart-warming moments, and wrapped up nicely, as a romance should.

I blitzed through this book over the weekend as I just could not get enough. Light and witty I enjoyed every second. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
