This was a light sweet novella. Just in time for Valentine's Day. The story was insta love almost. LOL. At first you wonder if they are going to click. They both get to know each other, and you could see they was a match. Each of these short stories are a part of Sarah's " At the mall series". Each one is centered around a holiday and Mall romance. If you need a light, short romance for any holiday pick up one of these. Thank you Netgalley for the early copy for a honest review.

A story that was a quick read and not very long but full of substance. The characters were very good but I really liked the arcade owner Amara Hart, she had colorful hair tattoos and her store was retro arcade games. The person next to her Valentino Rossi was the owner of a jewelry store. Most of their interaction had just been him asking her or telling her that the noise level was too loud. That was until the power went out and after she restored power the police arrived shortly asking her questions but she was thinking it was about noise only to find out that Rossi had been robbed.
Later the two of them decide to patrol the mall together so their stores are protected during the night, while they are doing that they get to know each other and find out that they like each other. Then the next few days they go on a date and surprising Amara finds out who actually robbed his store. This was a good story for being a short one and with good characters.

This is a cute little novella set in a mall with neighbouring businesses.
Amara runs a gaming arcade and Valentino has the jewellery store.

After a break-in at the Valentino's store, he and Amara are pushed together that night to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Opposites attract in this quick read but sadly I just wanted more from it, I would have liked a little more tension in the start between the two characters.

This is a sweet, clean, quick, holiday romance set around Valentine’s Day. It was slightly unbelievable the swift pace with which our characters got together, but let’s face it, none of us read romance novels for the realism, but for the nice hit of serotonin from a HEA which this story definitely gives you; I also really appreciated the epilogue with nicely rounded out the story, and extended the HEA

2.5/5 stars.

Mall You Need is Love is a short, sweet romantic novella.

I understand that in novellas, there's only so much space to develop plot and characters. I feel like this one did a nice job of creating a large story and large characters with limited page space, but I think it was slightly too much to accomplish in this few of pages.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this title!

This is a short, sweet read that is perfect for Valentine's day. Amara Hart and Valentino Rossi own stores next door to each other in a mall. Amara runs an old school arcade and Valentino runs a high-end jewelry store. A break in at Val's store leads to them meeting in person and growing closer.

Val and Amara are very cute together. They are sort of opposite ends of the spectrum personality-wise - but they have a lot in common. And the way things come together is cute and very heartwarming.

This is a very sweet story - with no more than a kiss exchanged between Amara and Val. There were a few aspects that felt - off for me - like the robbery storyline itself seemed flawed. But overall it was a cute story!

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

A quick and heart warming read. Mara the retro gamer and Valantino the jewellry shop neighbour are no more than aquaintances. But all that changes when Mara's shop is used to gain entry for a daring jewellry heist.

This was a really cute novella.
I immediately liked Amara. She seemed really cool, owning a retro arcade and really seeming to love the fact it got kids off technology and hanging out with each other. I honestly also immediately liked Val in his POV even though he is dubbed as kind of a player (as well as someone who calls to tell her customers to be quiet) by Amara in the first chapter. They were both people who really valued their customers and tried to make personal connections and do everything they could to help them out.
I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book, trying to figure out who robbed Val's jewelry store that is right next to the arcade in the mall. It was a believable way for them to have met and noticed the spark between them, I just thought the romance went really fast. Which I realize it kind of has to be in a novella.
I felt it was well rounded out for being so short and the ending was very heartwarming.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange of an honest review.

ANOTHER absolute great read from Sarah Robinson.
This book was perfect to start feeling the love of Valentines day.

Amara is an arcade owner, and the Neighboring shop is a Jewelry store with an owner that is know to "get around."
The owners of these 2 stores have never really seen eye to eye, But after an unfortunate situation they are thrown together for a night of "neighborhood watch" in the mall.
Will they find a common ground and love or is Valentines day looking a little lonely for both parties?

Right from their first encounter you can feel the tension and heat from Amara and Valentino.
They have such a great chemistry with one another, its hard not to get pulled in and root for them from the get go.
This story had everything, Mystery, love, Heartbreak, comedy, even second chances.
The ending had me smiling from ear to ear as it was the ending i hoped for.
I cannot wait for more Mall Series Novella's from Sarah!

This was a very short novella, which I didn’t realize until I was about halfway through (one of the side-effects of Kindle reading without page numbers I suppose). Unfortunately, I just don’t think it works as an under 100 page novella. The chemistry felt forced and the pacing was off… but I did enjoy the concept and wish it was a full length rom-com.

What a super fun read! I went into this book hoping that it would be a lovely sweet romance and it was!
I honestly think that grumpy sunshine romances may be my new favourite trope and this book gave me that. Despite this being a novella, the main characters of Mara and Val were full of layers. I was rooting for them from the beginning
I really enjoyed the two main characters having to work together which let them get to know each other. This book just made me so happy! I will definitely be looking for more books from this author
Also, the epilogue me happy cry because that’s what I hoped would happen

Sorry but this wasn't a book for me. I read the whole story but didn't connect with the characters or the storyline. I am not saying that many others will really enjoy this so I am giving it 4 stars.

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this e ARC

This novella was a quick read about a video arcade owner and the jewelry store proprietor who occupies the space next to hers in a mall. When the jewelry store is robbed, the two take the first shift of a neighborhood watch and the relationship goes from there. I couldn’t really get into this because it was so short. The characters weren’t particularly interesting and the whole story seemed somewhat mundane. I thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC.

A short and sweet story of M. Hart, a disillusioned videogame arcade owner, and Valentino R., a jewelry store owner, whose stores have been next to each other for a while but had never met until the days leading up to Valentine's Day when someone uses the back entrance of the arcade to break into the jewelry store and rob it.

Thank you Netgalley and publisher for an ARC of this book. I love Sarah Robinson books and this one is no exception. This was a cute and quick Valentines Day read. I loved the story between Amara, video arcade owner and Val, jewelry store owner that are store neighbors at the local mall. This is a true opposites attract story. Both must come together to watch out for each other’s store when the jewelry store is robbed. They work together and sparks fly. They land up bringing the best out of each other.

I am not usually a fan of insta-love but in a short book you have to get used to the fact it was bound to happen. I loved these characters and their totally opposite personalities, looks and careers. There is a bit of enemy to lover trope and the all time favourite grumpy/sunshine trope. For such a short read to have me so obsessed with the characters was amazing. I do wish there was more though.

🎮 BOOK REVIEW 🎮

Synopsis: Jaded-by-love Amara Hart owns a retro-style gaming arcade in the local shopping mall that is bustling full of people who’d rather play Pac-Man than have a candlelit dinner with the charming Casanova store owner next door. Despite her cynicism toward anything roses, Amara finds herself agreeing to help Valentino Rossi when his store is robbed a few days shy of Valentine’s Day—his biggest annual moneymaker.

Valentino believes in endless love and has made it his mission in life to help others express that love through romance and custom-made jewelry. Silly little love songs are what make him get out of bed in the morning, and meeting the anti-Valentine Amara has thrown him for a loop. Determined to prove love me tender is more than a retro ballad, Valentino sets out to give Amara a Valentine’s Day she’ll never forget.

As Amara feels her rough edges begin to soften, she begins to wonder what would happen if she asked the man next door to…be mine, Valentino.

Review: Why do novellas always have the longest blurbs? I really loved the premise of this story, and the originality of it, but there were some issues. Firstly, the writing. From the get go, the reader is absolutely drowned in information, making it hard to absorb it all at once and know what facts are necessary. I really struggled throughout the book to absorb the information, as so much was always on the page. I also think the authors views of the foster system and being LGBTQIA+ are questionable. Particularly where the characters suggests she will “join her friend in the lesbian web” as of being a lesbian is a choice? *cringe*. Ultimately, the characters were loveable and I was invested in the story, but the writing let me down. I would have loved for this to be explored as a full-length novel.

My sincerest thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for my review.

2/5 stars ⭐️⭐️

Cute story. 3.5 review starts. Book ends at 70% on Kindle, the other 30% is an excerpt from another story

Amara runs an arcade in the mall which happens to be next door to a jewelry story. Valentino Rossi runs the jewlery store is constantly complaining about the noise coming from the arcade. One night there is a break in and Amara and Valentino end up on mall watch duty. They have a cute banter and make some challenges but all the while want to catch the thief. When they find out who the thief is will their budding friendship fall apart ?

Sadly I didn't enjoy this book as much as I had hoped. I struggled to connect to the characters and wasn't invested in their story at any point. With this being a novella, I understand that there is a limitation on the length of the book. However, I still felt as though the story and characters lacked development and detail.
Overall, a quick and easy read but not as enjoyable as I had hoped.
