I strongly dislike giving bad reviews, so I’ll keep this to the point. I did not like any of the characters, besides maybe Posy’s best friend. I felt absolutely no chemistry between Posy and Lucas, which is so disappointing because I love enemies to lovers/marriage of convenience tropes. This book was compared to a favorite romcom of mine, and I strongly disagree. The “humor” in this book was just a lot of horrible comments made about other people, fat jokes, and classist jokes. I had a very hard time finishing this book, especially when I wasn’t rooting for any of the characters.

2.5/5 stars, only because I finished when I truly wanted to DNF.

Overall good and quick read. A bit slow at the beginning but it picks up shortly after first couple of chapters. To be honest I didn't really like the heroine.Even though the character development happens it's mostly at the end of the book. The writing was good but would've preferred if there was bit more interactions between the main characters. 3 stars.

Oh no. No no no. This narrative of “you must have a career and family because you’re turning 30” trope is really old. This is 2022, I guess we should just call it in ladies—it’s fate as old maids for the lot of us!

The messaging is confusing. When Posy is speaking with her father, she seems clueless to her ways but as soon as she’s around her HS friends, she’s suddenly ashamed of her life as if she knows it’s not legit and was just faking it in the conversations with her father—yet moments later she’s sticking up for her privileged life again. What’s the deal?

This is a mindless enough read if you’re looking for an enemies to lovers + fake dating trope but I didn’t feel the chemistry and it was pretty difficult to care about these unlikeable characters.

I was quite excited by the premise of this story but it just did not hit the mark despite having two tropes I love (fake relationship and enemies to lovers). Neither Posy or Lucas were particularly likeable, (she was very immature/spoilt and he lacked charisma/charm) and I did not care enough to root for them. It took way too long for them to warm up to each other and when things did pick up it went from 0 to 60. I just was not feeling the chemistry. The writing style was good but the execution of the story could have been a lot better. 2 stars.

This book is about two high school nemesis, Posy and Lucas, that they meet again after 10 years, and how they can learn from each other from a crazy plan.

The way this story is told was very captivating, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The prose is well written and the characters were very real and represented. I could feel the chemistry between them seeping from the pages, all their fears and securities too. And I wished I hadn't finished it too quickly.

I definitely will read another book from this author, I think she has a lot of potencial. So if you like Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but in contemporary times, I totally recommend this book.

And Posy is right. Sometimes we have to write our own path and trust on our instincts. It's worth it!

I really wanted to love this enemies to lovers, posh boarding school, reunion with hijinks and misunderstandings romance, but I honestly find some of the humor a bit off putting at times. As a curvy girl myself, the fat shaming jokes were just unwarranted and didn’t land for me. I tried really hard to connect to Posy, and I really usually love a character that is flawed and a story of redemption, but I genuinely felt bad for Lucas at times who is embroiled in this scheme. I know he needs her connections to save his family business, and it just felt exploitative at times. I do believe that the author has great banter between characters, and the bones of this book are there, but the details were a little wonky for me.

The Reunion is a fun and light hearted read and follows Posy and Lucas in their crazy plan of a ‘fake’ romance and receive an all expenses paid wedding thanks to an crazy old school contract!
Whilst the plot is slightly predictable it is an easy and enjoyable read.

This book was interestingly enough told from 4 perspectives, 2 only sparingly.

I'm not a huge fan of love stories that start with one or both of the characters in existing relationships not with one another, but this story did a decent enough job of wading through it and still bringing a heartfelt romance to fruition. The absurdity of the plot is probably my biggest issue with this novel, the idea of a millionaire heiress faking a $7k wedding/honeymoon to get a $3k ticket to Hawaii is beyond over the top. I liked the characters and the setting, if you can get past the 'reality' of the novel it was an enjoyable read.

I needed an easy fun read and that's just what this book was. It kept my attention, it had me chuckling, it didn't require too much thinking and I enjoyed the characters. The story generally moved along easily although there were a couple sections that dragged a little bit.

I was positive I knew how the book was going to end and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't end quite as I expected. Overall, I'd recommend this book to anyone who's looking for a light read.

Great fun getting to meet Posy and Lucas from their school days and 10 years later when they meet at their school reunion. “Chalk and cheese, anyone?” Both are in need of a shake up in their very different lives, but as some may say, “opposites attract”. They both have some growing to do and together, bring out the best in each other.

Posy and Lucas were the head boy and girl of their posh boarding school their senior year. However, they could not stand each other then and certainly not now.

Posy is a spoiled party girl always ready to spend her father's money. Lucas is a hard-working gent who is on the verge of losing his company he co-founded with his best mate.

The two reconnect at their school reunion in which they hatch a plan to cash in on the school's longstanding (but never used) rule that if the head boy and girl marry each other, the school pays for the wedding. So, why not get married - fake married, that is.

Posy needs the money to fly to an event in Hawaii to make connections for her photography. Lucas needs Posy's family's connections to save his business.

The book starts off slow and has a large cast of characters. But once the two begin to push each other for the better and character growth starts to happen - ahhhh, it's just very lovely and becomes a page-turner.

I loved the backdrop of the little town of the school and the wedding. Both characters had real change, but not too much, thank goodness. We still want them to be Hurricane Posy and Spreadsheet Lucas.

I rate THE REUNION four out of five stars.

This was such a fun and quick read.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was so much fun and I read it so quickly it made me forget I wasn’t actually in the story. Totally recommend it for anyone who loves romance!!

I blitzed through this book over the weekend as I just could not get enough. Light and witty I enjoyed every second. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Literally joyful, feel good, escapism. It is funny, Raw and easily relatable. I really enjoyed this one. The characters were great and the author really writes a story that draws you in and makes you feel like you are right there alongside the characters.

The Reunion follows two former high school rivals as they pretend to be in madly in love to solve all their problems. Posy needs money after her father cuts her off and Lucas is about to lose everything unless he finds an investor. Posy talks Lucas into her crazy plan to pretend they are getting married. Things get complicated as they realize they don't actually hate each other. In fact they find themselves falling in love. The Reunion had a great plot and it's full of fun characters but I never truly got invested in the romance of it. There's lots of cute moments but it never connect for me.

This book was so much fun to read. I devoured it in a single session, and by the time I closed it, my face hurt from smiling. The chemistry between these two is palpable.
Totally engaging, witty, and one of the most original enemies to lovers stories I’ve read in a long while.

I really wanted to love this book. It had the promise of a great story, but it just fell short for me.

Posy and Lucas meet at school. Posy is wealthy and popular. Lucas is there on scholarship. His parents are ‘the help’. The prologue details an encounter between them as head girl and head boy. We then move on 10 years later.

It’s marketed as a an enemies to lovers story, but that sizzling chemistry frequently found in these books is sadly missing.

I really didn’t like Posy and felt a distance from her throughout the whole book.

The style of writing was ok, but I just couldn’t engage with the story.

The foundations of the story were good and I think this will appeal to many readers. It just wasn’t my personal ‘cup of tea’.

Posy needs money. Lucas needs clients for his business. Enter a clause from their school where if the two former classmates get married, their alma mater will fork over the funds Posy needs and Posy will hook Lucas up with the clients he needs. Shenanigans ensue. I like this much more than I thought I would, even while feeling sad at how rudely Posy’s family treats her. An overall charming read, excellent if you need a lighthearted escape for a few hours.

The Reunion is a wonderful book about an enemies to friends relationship. Posy and Lucas had me wanting more and not wanting to put the book down. I laughed and cried as their relationship changed. Such a good read.
