A great middle grade adventure with a healthy dose of mystery and intrigue. With a focus on the ocean, and an ecological tone, it is a book that nature loving kids will enjoy.

Twelve year old twins Jess and Jude almost died because of the ocean but now they sail the seas with their guardian, Gabe, until he vanishes one night after an argument with a stranger. Now they have to figure out where he went, but also who they really are.

A tale of survival, two kids are pitted against the power of the sea. Packed with action from massive waves to being chased by drones on horseback, this is an easy read that will keep middle grade kids engaged and wanting to find out what happens at the end. This would also make for a great book for parents to read to their younger kids. It has all the feel of a classic coming of age tale, sort of a toned down modern day Goonies.
