I listened to an audiobook version of this book and I did like it! It definitely made the story go by quicker and added an extra flair to it that made it a more overall enjoying read.

As for the story, it was good! I’m always a sucker for rival neighbour stories so this twist on that was fun. I loved that their relationship progressed from rivals to friends before they were ultimately lovers. It made it that much more satisfying when they finally admitted to their feelings! I was a but disappointed that it was fade to black but it was alright, I know some people prefer that in their romances.

I did wish that the other conflicts had gotten more attention and better resolutions (their issues with their parents) because it felt like those were wrapped up too quickly.

But overall this was a fun romance! If you like feuding neighbours, family drama and a sneaky kiss or two with your now work friend.. check this one out!

3.5/5

This book was good. It was a cute story but nothing new. The tension was resolved so quickly it added nothing to the story. I feel like the mother’s return would have been better earlier in the book to create some more interest in the relationship between the MCs or there was more substance/exploration of Noah & his father’s relationship. All in all it was a cute light read. The one saving grace was the narrator. Her voice was very well suited to the characters and provided something extra to the story.

DISCLAIMER: I received this book free from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book is cute. It got a little boring but it was cute. FYI This book has fade to Black scenes .
This book wasn't for me. I felt like there wasn't any chemistry between the love interests. Honestly I wanted to DNF but I wanted to read the whole book to give it a fair chance.

How to love your neighbor
by Sophie Sullivan
4 stars
Enemies to lovers, I thought it was cute how they first met and how the attraction was there. The beginning made me think of monster-in-Law the one with Jane Fonda that's what made me picture once I started reading.
Noah is a real estate developer who wants to buy his neighbor's house, and in walks grace the one he met on the beach. Grace and Noah have a lot of fun banter. It's a lot of home renovations and finding happiness together. The part I didn't like is the mommy and daddy issues they had; graces mother it didn't seem to get resolved same with Noah's dad just wasn't my cup of tea.
There wasn't any steam which was okay the kissing and them slowly falling and learning about each other was great for my taste.
Also need to add I enjoyed the Narration by Chloe Dolandis
Thank you, NetGalley for this arc for an honest review

I loved the dynamic between Grace and Noah in Sophie Sullivan’s How to Love Your Neighbor. Enemies to lovers, HGTV-style project, sunshine and the grump, with a dog-walking disaster of a meet cute. This is a warm hug of a book, start to finish. It’s sweet and snarky and I’m a complete sucker for the boy next door. This is a closed door romance, so it’s perfect for everyone but especially those who like their romances with a little less steam.

The audiobook was absolutely delightful. Chloe Dolandis narrates and she did such a great job, bringing Grace and Noah’s love story to life. Her performance was dynamic and made for a great listening experience.

How to Love Your Neighbor is a fun & cute Enemies to Lovers RomCom, not your typical one though. This is my first book I’ve read by Sophie Sullivan and definitely won’t be my last.
Grace is about to graduate in interior design & inherits a house on the beach by her Grandparents. Her next door neighbor, Noah, is a real estate developer who is renovating his large house and wants to buy Grace’s house. I recommend you read and find out what happens!
Thank you NetGalley for the Audiobook in return for an honest review.

I really wanted to like this one but it just fell flat for me. Their banter in the beginning was pretty good but that was about all that kept me interested. I never felt like they had chemistry at all.

This book was a really cute enemies to friends to lovers with a bunch of home renovation in the middle that I really enjoyed. The characters were from completely different backgrounds yet had a lot in common and the chemistry was palpable. It’s a good light romcom with zero smut to clean your palate.

I was given this advance copy by netgalley and macmillan audio in exchange of my honest review.

This is exactly what I needed. Sweet, light, and real, this felt bright and helped pull me out of the January blues.

In HOW TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR we're following Grace and Noah as they move in next to each other, experience the growing pains of a new neighbor, and (obviously) catch feelings.

There were so many fun aspects to this story; the opposites attract vibe, the setting, the magazine article and home deco project. Everything worked together to move the story along and feel fresh the entire time.

Only a couple drawbacks: there is a LOT of miscommunication at the beginning, and it feels like every interaction at the front end of the book is based on Noah and Grace being determined to not understand the other person.

And also, Noah. I ended up liking his character, and I understand he's never had a serious relationship, but the way he talks about not having a serious relationship before ends up sounding like he doesn't respect women. And it had me rolling my eyes a few times.

Other than that, this is a great slump-buster (either reading slump or emotional slump), and I ultimately had a lovely time with this book.

Thank you to the author, Macmillan, and Netgalley for an advanced audio version of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and this book hits the mark on this trope. I love the chemistry the author creates between Grace and Noah and the journey from enemies, to friends, to lovers flows so well. I listened to the audiobook version the narrator did a great job transitioning point of views.
I recommend this to anyone who enjoys clean romcoms.

Interior design student, Grace moves into an inherited property next door to rich developer, Noah. Sparks fly as they team up for a home Reno project.
It was fine, I don’t have anything bad to say except it was extra cheesy at times but I don’t have anything too brilliant to say either it all felt a little too run of mill grumpy neighbor romance. If you like hgtv and Fixer Upper then this one will be great for you.
Adult content: No steam, mild language

This was such a cute enemies to lovers book. Grace moved into her grandparents house with the plans to make it her home. She's in school for interior design and the house will become a home. However, when she meets her new neighbor, Noah, she almost instantly dislikes him since his only goal is to buy her house. He wants to expand his property and to do so, he needs her house. They start a renovation war since both are redoing their houses and during the "war" Noah's house will be featured in a home magazine and the magazine picks Grace as his interior decorator. This forces Noah and Grace to work closely together and often. While they deal with their own parent's issues, they also start to fall for each other. It was a cute HEA book and I loved their relationship!

Ten Rules for Faking It was a 5 star read for me, so I had high hopes for this book. Unfortunately, I didn’t connect at all with the story. I kept waiting to have some interest in the characters or plot and by 40% it still hadn’t happened. I never found myself rooting for the MC or the LI, so I chose to DNF. Because I enjoyed Sophie’s first book so much, I would still read another book by her.
I did a mix of audio and ebook. The narrator did a good job with the cast of characters. I liked that Chris and Everly (from the first book) were included. Morty was a funny character who added some grumpy spunk. I wish I had enjoyed this book, but it just didn’t happen this time.

Thank you to SMP Romance for a digitial ARC and to Macmillan Audio for the audiobook. All thoughts expressed are my own honest opinions.

This book was very sweet, and romantic. It is the perfect read to lift your spirits. Grace and Noah have recently become neighbors. Noah is used to getting his way and becomes frustrated when Grace won't sell him her house. Both come from different backgrounds and have seemingly different views but as they argue and push each other's buttons they discover that they have more in common than meets the eye. There is some great banter, humor and great chemistry between the two of them. The secondary characters add a nice layer to the story which made it a solid 4 star read for me.

How to Love Your Neighbor by Sophie Sullivan is a sweet, quick romance with one of my favorite romance tropes: grump/sunshine. Going in I didn't know this was the second book in a series but I was able to fully enjoy the book without knowing any of the backstories and now I have another book to add to my TBR list.

This book follows Grace and Noah two people who just want the same house. Grace wants a place to call home and belong which I strongly resonated with and I loved Grace so much as a character. What Grace sees as her future and her life goal Noah sees as a purchase. And that's where our enemies to lovers story begins. I loved seeing Grace and Noahs relationship grow and Grace start to wear down Noahs edges.

Overall this is a cute light romance that I would easily recommend.

I received and Audiobook ARC from Netgalley for my honest review. The narrators were also amazing and added to the story.

Stopped listening after the ADHD joke, not funny. Can’t continue to listen with that leaving such a bad taste.

I just finished a book that combines two things I love to read about and/or watch: home renovations and romance. If you’re a fan of next door neighbor and/or rivals-to-lovers romances, How to Love Your Neighbor by Sophie Sullivan is the perfect lighthearted read to add to your TBR list!

The story follows two neighbors, Grace and Noah, who become enemies while renovating their beachfront properties, only to find themselves working together on a significant career opportunity. What starts as a mission for Noah to buy Grace’s house turns into a challenge for Grace to transform Noah’s house one room at a time. Sparks fly as they work together, navigating the line between business and pleasure, with plenty of bickering and flirty banter along the way.

With a narrative that’s fun, humorous, and light on angst, a closed door romance that’s sweet and swoon-worthy, and characters that are charming, eclectic, and endearing, How to Love Your Neighbor is a quick, entertaining read. I devoured the audiobook over the weekend, enjoying the bubbly, upbeat narration of Chloe Dolandis. This is my first book by Sophie Sullivan but it definitely won’t be my last!

Special thanks to the publisher for the complimentary paperback and review copy!

4.5 stars - I'd watch this show on HGTV! I loved Grace from the moment she's introduced in the story, fighting her entitled mother and chasing her own dreams. Enter the stubborn and grumpy neighbor who's used to getting his way, it took me a moment to warm up to Noah, but it didn't take long before I was a goner.

Filled with plenty of hilarious moments, close friendships, witty banter and clever remodels. This story was so easy to visualize as it unfolded and I didn't want it to end. The side characters were just as lovable as the main ones and I wish they were real people I could have in my life.

The audiobook brought the characters to life perfectly and had me laughing out loud at work, on too many occasions to count. This was my first book by the author and I can't wait to read more!

How to Love Your Neighbor by Sophie Sullivan was such a fun contemporary romance! Watching Grace and Noah clash at the beginning was entertaining. I loved the chemistry between these two characters that resulted in delightful banter and memorable interactions. I had no idea a fight over a fence could be so entertaining. I loved how Grace and Noah pushed each other to be better and grow. Also, the side-characters in this book are delightful! They added even more to the humor and dynamics of the book. (There's a renovation scene involving basically all of the characters and it was easily my favorite part to read). I thoroughly enjoyed this closed-door romance and will definitely be reading more by Sullivan in the future.

Such a fun listen!! We meet two people who have so little in common you know you’re in for a good enemies to friends or possibly more storyline! All that Grace wants is a home to call her own. A place where she feels safe, secure, can plant some roots and truly make her own by using her nearly there interior design degree. She’s found that in the house she inherited from her grandparents and she couldn’t be happier about it. That is until she meets Noah, a handsome, smart and seriously annoying neighbor. He’s a successful businessman who always gets what he wants and what he wants right now is a pool right where her house is and he rarely does not achieve his goals. One look at Grace and he just knows that she is going to fall at his feet and be so grateful for the money he is going to give her to just go away. She is not of her “ilk” and surely “his” money will be a game changer for her. Let the games begin! This was so much fun to listen to. She may be small in stature, but she’s smart, tough, knows who she is an what she wants and doesn’t want or need his money. She is going to use her degree and incredible talent to make her own! This was fun, ironic, snarky and sarcastic and it was a nice change to have a woman stand up for herself and rescue herself. I am very much looking forward to more from this wonderful author. So far she is two for two. Great narration added to the listening experience.
