This book is full of interesting and useful information and it was very easy to understand the concepts. Well organized and written in a way that engages the reader. Burnout is a very serious problem that used to be ignored and denied as a problem. We need more books like this to bring awareness of Burnout to the forefront.
Thank you for the opportunity to read & Review.

As someone who has both suffered burnout and followed the myriad of advice articles, posts, etc on Burnout, The Burnout Antidote provides a whole different level of what burnout actually is. What you think you are getting when you read this book is another self-help title, but instead, you're getting a title full of help to lead you back to your "core self" and what you love doing. The author offers that by healing yourself (inner child, inner mother, inner father, etc), you'll return to your core and heal burnout. I greatly enjoyed the interpretation of burnout and greatly appreciated that the author seemed to recognize they were targeting those who work in a service that leads to compassion fatigue. I will personally be buying this book to work through the exercises and meditate more on this interpretation of burnout. Highly recommend!

This was an okay book. The way some of the things were explained and defined just didn’t sound right to me sometimes and the style of the exercises and strategies just didn’t vibe with me. I also didn’t love the writing. Nothing wrong with the book per se. It just wasn’t for me. I’ll have to re-read it some other time. It may be that my headspace just wasn’t right this time.

Thank you, Llewellyn Publications, for the advance reading copy.

Just the book I have been highly anticipating in the non-fiction category.

Burnout is a part of my life though I seriously do not want it to be. However, with my work and everything else that I have to handle I feel it's inevitable.

However, I need a good guide on how to handle this crucial part of my life and not make things worse.

In nine different short chapters, the book gives a good idea about the kind of burnout most of us experience and the nature of toxic empathy during these times.

I specifically love the exercises to practice. It's easy and practical.

Go for this book. Even if you do not consider yourself to be a spiritual person, this book will help you nevertheless.
