I can not give this book a proper review since the file that was sent to me was extremely fragmented. An entry would suddenly morph into an different entry for several lines and then back again. This occurred for at least the first third of the book and that is where I stopped because it was so jumbled it was making no sense. I thoroughly enjoyed the concept and the fault does not lie with the author but with the formatting of the document. I will definitely seek this one out upon publication.

I wanted to love this book. As a member of the queer community, I was excited to see this title and to read it. However, I mostly just found it tedious. The bios were uninspired & read like Google search blurbs. My main issue though was the amount of people listed (especially as icons) who have no actual tie to the LGBTQ community, i.e. Cardi B. The bios of these individuals explained nothing about their benefit to the community & served only as a list of their hits or career points. This book was a miss for me.

This is a great introduction to many things queer, whether that's people, media or events that have happened. Truthfully, I skimmed a lot of this and zeroed in on things that looked particularly interesting to me or I hadn't heard of before as there was some humor mixed in that just wasn't my cup of tea. But other than that, I think it has a lot of good information and would be a good starting point for someone who doesn't know a lot about the queer community or history.

This book is a great non-fiction book for anyone who has an interest in learning about gay and overall queer culture. This book is a great way to connect with and learn about the history of the LGBTQ community. I gave this book 4 stars and I would recommend it.
