What a fun book! I did not know what spun cotton was, so I really enjoyed the bit of history at the beginning of this book. It was a little overwhelming at first - going through the materials before actually getting to the projects - but once I continued reading, I definitely realised it's not as hard as I'd thought!

This book covers everything you'll need to know; dying cotton, moulding faces, handpainting, decorating, templates, etc. The layout is clear and the instructions are easy to follow and have great visuals. The crafts range in difficulty so there should be some lovely projects to suit anyone. (I think the flat batting dolls may have been my favourite!)

You can feel that the author who wrote this book loves what they do. Perfect book for any craft lover.

I’ve always loved decorations like this, they’re the type that I saw as a very young child at the home of one set of my grandparents and I haven't seen similar in about thirty years.

I looked through this, at the photos, read the instructions on making decorations similar to the ones my grandparents had, and all the memories of those childhood holidays came flooding back as I read this charming crafts book.

The photos and how-to’s are helpful, the added templates are an addition that could definitely lead to hours of enjoyable making.

I’m planning on getting a print copy of this and making some of these for next Autumn and Winter, and I’m looking forward to a few weeks of slow crafting.

I feel like many of these could be made to be child friendly (8+) once certain pieces have been purchased or created (faces for certain decorations) even though adults will need to deal with glass glitter, etc. alone.
