There's also the matter of the dead body she discovers in a storage unit in a freezer but is that also related?

This is the second novel in the Finlay Donovan series and it is a light, madcap adventure. Elle Cosimano was a YA author until her first Donovan novel which was a big hit. I listened to this book and the narrator was perfect. She had a light voice that had the perfect timing, moving the plot along and showing Finlay as a woman determined to make it whatever life throws at her. Readers will enjoy this novel and look forward to the next in the series. This book is recommended for light mystery readers.

The Finlay Donovan story is a ton of fun and I enjoyed continuing the chaotic tale of Vero and Finlay. The twists were relatively predictable, but I didn't think it took much away from the story. I am definitely hooked and will be checking out the other Finlay Donovan novels.

Guess who finally read Finlay?! After pretty much everyone recommended the Finlay Donovan series to me for years, I finally succumbed to peer pressure and read it. Love the character of Finlay-definitely a series I look forward to continuing.

Picking up just after the drama of book 1, Finlay is struggling to meet her book deadline and now trying to figure out who has put out a hit on her ex-husband. Still in cahoots with her nanny and partner in crime (literally) Vero, she is just trying to have a normal life, but circumstances are giving her a life that is worthy of the pages of her novels instead.

I thought this was such a fun jump back into Finlay's world. I love how Cosimano has constructed this world full of amusing and intriguing characters that have chemistry that just compels you to keep reading. Yes the circumstances are a bit unrealistic, but they feel read when you are reading and that's all that matters to me. This book leaves you satisfied enough with the ending, but also will make you very glad that there is book 3 (and 4 coming!) so that you get to keep experiencing these characters.

To say I am a fan of the Finley Donovan series is an understatement. I love how easy it is to get sucked into the story. There is humor, mystery and interesting characters, plus a story that is so perfectly plotted. You get to know Finley and her pals and are invested in their mishaps and misguided adventures. You will blast through the pages; both wanting to see how it ends and simultaneously trying to savor every word! I will read every book in this series and I want these installment to keep coming!!! I am a super fan and want everyone else to read this story too!!!

I love this series it is so much fun to listen to. In my mind I can picture this series as a tv show on bbc or something. A fun light read that’s easy to follow. Finley and Vero are hilarious and kept me highly entertained. I love that this book picks up we’re book 1 leaves off after Findlay is mistaken for a hit woman and ends on a cliff hanger highly anticipating reading book 3. I love seeing a good healthy female friendship where both women are ballsy. Love to see it. Very fast read and easy to follow.

I found the audiobook engaging. This whole series has been such a delight to listen to. I love the quirky storyline of an author trying to get her next book out and then all of a sudden running into so many problems like people thinking she’s a hitman. Together with the help of her friend, Vero, Finlay needs go get out of these dilemas while keeping her family safe and trying to stay afloat herself.

The audiobook kept me entertained with the narration flowing smoothly. I enjoy books with this kind of vivid narration.

I loved the first book but this one fell a bit short for me. I did love the ending but the road to the end was a bit lack luster.

This is the current book series for my cozy mystery book club. I'm really enjoying these Finlay Donovan books. Finlay is hilarious. I love how the sequel was just as good as the first book in the series or in this case - even better than the first book in the series. I'm so excited to continue this series with the third book. I highly recommend this cozy mystery series to everyone!

Loved book 1 but this one felt a little dull. The narration is great and I'll be on the lookout for more Fin and V adventures!

I enjoy the tone of this series. I like the way her books unfold based on her own experiences and that it's so crazy it really doesn't seem realistic which is the point. Vero is hilarious. I want books with her as the main character!

These have the perfect level of romance and I thought the fact that she had two very good looking love interests just added to the complexity. This kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more!

I'm not able to review this audiobook because it disappeared from the netgalley reader before I could read it. I can say that I loved the book itself, though. This is a great series.

Oh, Finlay, I am quite sure that if we met in real life (and if you were a real person and not a book character) we would be lifelong friends. I love your snark, your loyalty, your sense of humor, your kindness, and your honest approach to everything curveball that life throws your way. Do you bring a bit of drama to yourself? Yep, you sure do. But it's always a fun ride.

This is the second book in the Finlay series and it does not disappoint. I love everything about this divorced mom of two who, in an attempt to navigate providing for her family, is completely by accident drawn into the life of a hit woman and gets tied up with the mob. It's a raucous and outlandish good time full of warmth and love. I'm excited to read the next one in the series! Five stars!

This is a really fun book! It's a perfect book to recommend to friends - a little bit of mystery, romance, and funny! It's a great sequel to the first one. I love a good mystery but can't read scary mysteries before bed so this combination is perfect! I recommend this whole series!

Absolutely loved this book as much as the first. I got lost in Finlay’s antics and shenanigans quickly and devoured this book in a weekend. Such a fun read!

The second book in the series, Finlay Donovan Knocks 'Em Dead, is still witty, fun and a quick read. It picks up right where the first book ends. This time Finlay's ex-husband is on the hit list. Findlay and her sidekick Vero are determined to find who hired the hit. I enjoyed the first in the series better, but this was still very entertaining and an enjoyable read.

I received an audiobook ARC of Cosimano's 2nd Finlay Donovan book. I absolutely loved the first and thought the second was a great continuation of the series. As with the first, the chemistry of the dynamic duo that is Finlay and Vero makes the book for me. I laughed out loud multiple times. The pairing of a mystery with comedy is not utilized enough and I would love to read more books like this series! Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley. Can't wait for the 3rd!
