I really, really enjoyed this book. I felt it was a great take on how to focus on yourself in a society that spends a lot of time and energy on finding "the one". Highly recommend this book.

I have been following Risingwoman on Instagram for a few years now so I was really excited when I saw Sheleana Aiyana's new book on NetGalley. I immediately requested it.

This book is such an important one. There are a ton of gems in it. I am so glad to have a copy so I can revisit it. It's one of those books that needs to be read by everyone. It affects each and every one of us. Who doesn't want to have a better relationship with ourselves and others. Shaleana gives you a step-by-step process to start your path of self-awareness. It's also interwoven with her own story and how this exact process changed her life and allowed her to have the beautiful relationship she has with her husband. A must-read for everyone!

I follow Sheleana's online presence and this book was really helpful to have that input at hand.. This book is a great choice for those that are ready for a deep dive in self reflection and put in the work for improved connection and understanding.

It seemed to drag a little but overall a decent read. I dont like the authors "values" or way of thinking I guess. I probably wouldn't recommend this to friends. I was turned off by about 20 to 25 percent through.

This book purports to be a self help book that helps women love and accept themselves for who they are, regardless of relationship status or desire. I thought, "Great! Sign me up!" Then I started reading the book. I only got about 20% into the book when the author completely lost me when she tells readers that they need to connect with earth, air, fire, or water (spiritually speaking) in order to create balance. Huh? And to make it better, her descriptions of these imbalances are as helpful as your zodiac sign. They're vague and can apply to anyone. And howe does one connect with the correct element to balance oneself? She doesn't say. After getting through this painfully esoteric section of the book, I looked up her credentials. I should have done that beforehand. She is not a licensed therapist, but she dispenses therapeutic advice as if she is one. I believe she does more harm than good.

All of us here in Netgalley know we are reading advanced copies. In my opinion nothing ruins a read for me. Copyright not authorized for distribution largely inserted in every single page, Sometimes twice. They're randomly placed like right in the middle of a paragraph which completely ruins the read. What can I tell you about this book? I can tell you that I am annoyed by every big black stamp on every page that breaks up every sentence or paragraph. When this happens I don't finish the book. It's very disruptive to the reader. Many others agree but Don't review the books. I would have really liked to have enjoyed her story but I'll have to wait till the actual book comes out because the stamps are too annoying..

This is a beautifully written book, and came at such an appropriate time in my life. Aiyana has such a passion for life and helping others and it shines throughout each chapter. This book is brimming with love and advice on how to heal trauma, love yourself again (or the first time) and be a better version of yourself. Highly recommended to everyone.

A great book that will help anyone dealing with long-term issues. It gives a "how-to" for releasing anything that has been holding you back in life and will cause your relationships with others to reach a higher better level. I encourage everyone to read this. It will change your life!

I liked the message and lesson it gave, it was all raw and authentic; making it a 3 star read for me.
