Beth's best friend is getting married and she's on a mission to make sure that the wedding goes on without a hitch. Unfortunately the soon to be brother in law, Sawyer, things something isn't right. After his own failed relationship he wants to protect his brother by proving that the bride is up to something.

This was a pretty enjoyable book. I liked getting to know the characters and what roles they play. I mean no only is Beth trying to make this wedding something her best friend won't forget theres also that hitch that happened in the past that makes her family inn's not so great. So hopefully this'll help her and her family out. Then theres Sawyers point of view where he is skeptical about love and wants prove to his brother that this match isnt the right one, they seems money hungry especially with the way the brides mother talks it just isn't right. I mean I can understand from his point of view being a protective brother but come on. Then theres the bit of romance brewing between Beth and Sawyer I enjoyed and overall this book actually turns out pretty good I really enjoyed it.

Weddings are (in my opinion) one of the absolute best settings for books, because of the romance, drama, and large cast of characters involved. So when I saw this book, I knew I had to read it. And I'm happy I did! This was a great romance, and I would definitely recommend trying it!

I received an e-ARC from the publisher.

He is going to make sure that his brother isn't making a mistake. But in spending time with Beth as he keeps an eye on the bride to be and the wedding planning, Sawyer struggling with his own feelings.

🌳Review🌳
This was a sweet, predictable story. Sawyer Silva is the hot cowboy brother. Beth and her sisters are living together to run the Inn and save it. I enjoyed the relationships between Beth and her sisters. Could definitely see this series following her two sisters and their love lives. Definitely a saccharine and clean story. Didn’t feel the chemistry or tension that much, definitely no slow burn, which intend to gravitate towards. With grumpy/sunshine and small-town tropes, its a heartwarming love story and was the perfect beach read.

Cute, almost a cowboy romance, set in Texas. Beth is trying to get her wedding business back on track after an unfortunate food poisoning incident. Her best friend, Shelby, wants to hold her wedding at the Orchard Inn after a whirlwind romance with horse rancher Garrett. His brother, Sawyer, was burnt in a romance the year before and is sure this quick wedding is a bad idea, but he is also mesmerized by Beth. This is a quick, enjoyable beach read type book, perfect for these hot summer afternoons.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this novel. All opinions are my own.

[Beth] has a business to redeem and the a best friend’s wedding to pull off.

Beth Shipley is happy for her best friend Shelby but sad that she never found love herself. Meanwhile, her family business is floundering due to an incident of food poisoning. Can she give her friend the wedding of her dreams?

Sawyer’s younger brother is planning on getting married. Sawyer feels that the couple are rushing things. In fact, he has a long list of reasons why he thinks the wedding shouldn’t happen. One of those very reasons is his own personal heartbreak.

Orchard Inn is THE wedding destination. However, I the location is operating in the red. Beth struggles to fix the problems so that her family business can start earning again.

In this touching story, Sawyer must work through his own angst in order to find what his future will be. Meanwhile, Beth may be frustrated with Sawyer for trying to throw things off track, but she can't help but to be drawn to him.

Many thanks to Forever and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

This is the perfect Hallmark movie. It is obvious from the beginning where the story is going and that is the way it should be. The fun part is the journey! It is a very romantic read with a closed door - just how I like it.

The three sisters relationships are amazing and supportive. Owning a business together pulls each of their strengths to keep it going. Independent woman are always my favorite characters.

This is light, easy and quick paced - perfect for a summer read by the pool or at the beach.

This was a sweet southern romance following a wedding planner and the brother of the groom who seems determined to throw a wrench in the nuptials. If you need easy summer reading, this is a great option for a cute story with a bit of enemies to lovers flair. Perfect for fans of hallmark channel movies.

Beth Shipley is trying to keep her family inn running since a food poisoning incident has bookings dropping. She has the perfect chance when her best friend Shelby wants to use the inn to host her up coming wedding. This could be just what the inn and the Shipley sisters need. Everything is going according to plan until Beth meets the grooms overprotective and stubborn brother Sawyer Silva. He thinks his brother is rushing into the marriage and he is determined to put a stop to the nuptials. Can Beth convince Sawyer that Shelby truly loves his brother before he puts a stop to the wedding and tears both families apart?

I loved this novel by Heather McGovern. The characters were very well written, and the plot of the story had many funny and touching moments. I adored the Shipley sisters, and I am hoping that this is the first in a trilogy so that we get to see the other two sisters find their happily ever afters. Forever Publishing so kindly gifted me a copy of the book in exchange for my unbiased opinion, which I happily provided. If you like small town, family based romances, this is one you will not want to miss.

Thank you to the publisher for my review copy. All opinions are my own.

Ummmm. Weddings. Yes ma'am. Sisters running a wedding business/B&B. Absolutely freaking yes. Grumpy cowboy. Like you even need to ask. This whole dang thing is my entire vibe. Sincerely.

I had so much fun reading this title. It was light and sweet. Loved it. Come to find out it is the first in a series. Oh yea. I'm there.

Now, I need to talk about something. I had this copy as an audio and a digital copy. I started it on audio. I put the audio down. Luckily, I had already fallen in love with the story and was fortunate enough to pick up the digital copy. I did not enjoy the audio. At all. Not at all. The narrator was not what this story deserved.

If I had to rate the audio on the audio alone...it was a dnf.

Something Blue has something for every reader. It has romance, oodles of it in fact, it has conflict, at the most in opportune times. It has family loyalty and support. It also has tons of wedding talk and preparation since that is what Beth does. Nest of all it takes place in Texas and has a tall Texan who wears a cowboy hat in the middle of everything.
Come to Texas where they grow hot men and know how to throw a wedding.
I’m eager for the next book!

Lately, I've been trying a bunch of new to me authors. Sadly so many of my favorite authors are either no longer writing or have changed genres and I don't care to follow them. So when I saw the cover of this book on NetGalley I thought it would make a fun summer read.

Heather McGovern is new to me author so I had nothing to go by for what type of writer she is. I do know I loved the cover of her upcoming book so I gave her a try.

Something Blue is a sweet romance between two people that didn't really plan to fall for anyone at the moment. One is doing her job and the other is watching everyone close to making sure no one takes advantage of his brother.

Let's start off with the fact that Sawyer was cheated on and ended an engagement because of it. He no longer trusts many women, or love for that matter. That sets up all the events of this book. Now saying that I will tell you I didn't for one-minute blame Sawyer for how he felt. The author keeps making you feel like his feelings are real. Then for everyone to turn on him for how he's feeling to me is just wrong.

I along with Sawyer saw all he saw and believed what he believed. Sadly he handled it nicer than I would have. I would have most likely called her out in front of everyone. But I'm not always nice.

Now I don't want you to think that I didn't enjoy the book because I mentioned how I felt Sawyer was treated because I did. I really liked the characters and how they acted with one another. When you read this you'll maybe understand why I felt what I felt. I loved Beth and her sisters. I felt for poor Beth after all that has gone wrong with their family business. She felt like it was all her fault when that's not really true.

As a couple, Beth and Sawyer are good together. They work. The only problem they have between them is the wedding and each of their feelings about it. Sadly that is a big issue but it does make for good reading. As a whole, this is a good story. One that keeps you asking the question, 'what's really going on'? Looking forward to the next book.

I don't think this was the right book for me. It had all the right elements, but I couldn't get into it. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read it.

BOOK REVIEW: “Something Blue” by Heather McGovern

This is a sweet beach read! If you are a fan of Hallmark movies, wedding planning, or horse ranches, chances are you will like this book. I’m a sucker for any book that involves a wedding, so I was drawn in by the plot pretty quickly. “Something Blue” is a fast, charming, wholesome read and it’s perfect for summer! Fair warning: you will likely be craving a big slice of peach pie by the end of this book. I will be definitely be googling peach pie recipes tonight.

What made this a three star read for me:
Parts of the plot and narration in this book sometimes felt a little bit disjointed. The humor didn’t always click for me, and I felt like I wanted more to happen with the plot. I’m also a big fan of “show me rather than tell me” - style writing; I’d rather be able to see clear attraction between two characters during their interactions than read a very innocuous interaction and read about the characters’ inner feelings afterwards. That being said, this was an enjoyable read and is a good pick if you’re looking for something light and fun!

Thank you to Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. This review is also posted on my bookstagram account, @bluebellsandbookshelves

This was a sweet story. Beth is a wedding and event planner stressed about how she can keep the family home and business afloat after an event gone horribly wrong threatens to take all she loves away. In comes her good friend Shelby to save the day, offering to have her high society wedding at her place to get her out of her financial crisis. There is only one problem, the grooms brother thinks the groom is making a huge mistake and he plans to do everything in his power to try to stop this wedding from happening. As Beth and Sawyer spend time together working on their opposite goals, inconvenient sparks start to fly. There were a lot of great side characters in this book, and the beautiful settings in this book acted as almost characters of their own. I’m hoping this book is part of a series and that the other Shipley sisters get a book of their own too! This was a sweet easy read, sure to put a smile on your face. I received an ARC from netgalley, and this is my honest review.

A sweet and charming romance. Clean, closed door, which I prefer. Many delightful moments for the various families. There were a few problems, too. Enjoyable reading. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

Good clean romance.

Beth and her sisters run a family in, but they've been a little down on their luck after one bad incident. She has one chance to make their luck turn around thanks to her best friend's engagement. That is if the groom's brother doesn't ruin everything.

Sawyer knows how much it hurts when a relationship turns sour. He's all about protecting his brother from learning what that is like.

When Sawyer meets Beth, he's instantly smitten, but he is still worried for his brother and unsure if he can let go of the past.

It will come down to the wire. Can Beth convince Sawyer that her best friend is a good person, or will Sawyer ruin everyone's plans?

Solid written story for those who like a small hometown feels to their love stories.
