I have always loved the principles of the Law of Attraction, which lead me to a podcast by Sarah Prout. Listening to this author talk about love and manifesting, she also mentioned having a book out, this book. "Gee, I wish I had that book." I thought to myself.

Later that day, I opened my kindle and what was there? Yep, this book. I had forgotten I had requested in on NetGalley and was approved to receive a free copy for review. It seemed Sarah Prout's positive messaging was ALREADY working.

Be the Love includes the tips and principles you may hear in most law of attraction based material, but it is met and backed up with Prout's personal experiences and examples. The examples does give it an autobiographical feel, however each story is given to provide evidence behind the principles given.

Worth the read.

"If you live your life with self-love and self-compassion as your North Star, then you will thrive." This line in the synopsis made me so excited to read this. I found this to be such a touching, beneficial read. My heart is happy and I am ready to be the love.

When life hands you lemons, this book is just what the doctor ordered. Filled with powerful messages of self-affirmation and reminders that we can't reign in control over all aspects of our life (and that this is ok). A great book to pick up and read when one needs insights. Chapters are divided up clearly so you can pick out the reading you need when the moment strikes. A great reference text for when you need a reminder of how precious you are.

I don't know where to start with this book. First of all, I have never heard of Sarah Prout, but I appreciate her, the publisher, and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book. I am now a fan. She told her story in the most vulnerable of ways, sharing pieces of her and her work and her beliefs to help others with their own limiting beliefs. I love stories about real people, and reading how they have learned and grown from their stories. But many people hold back. She held back nothing. The writing was beautiful, the story she shared awe-inspiring, and a great reminder of how important bringing love into everything--including ourselves--is so important. Highly recommended.

I loved this book so much. It teaches you to go within yourself to learn self love and how to be the love. I wasn’t familiar with the author, but now I need to check it out her other books. Honestly this was the perfect timing for me to get this book.

Thank you netgalley and st. Martin Press for my ARC

Sarah Prout's BE THE LOVE offers the insight and intelligence of a woman who has learned how to live an abundant and joy-filled life through hard work, difficult experiences, and embracing her vulnerabilities. I enjoyed reading this book once I got past a rough few pages that nearly had me throw it against the wall. Although there are vague passages woven through the book, I learned a great deal from a brave woman. I imagine she delivers her brilliant stories even better in person than on the page. I received an advance copy of this book and these are my own, unbiased opinions. .

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC! I wanted to love this book but it wasn’t for me. What I did like about the book were the journal prompts at the end of each chapter and I will be using them because I think it is a good starting point to reflect on some of the topics of manifestation, what fears to let go of and how you want to show up with love in the world.

Be the Love by Sarah Prout was a book I needed in my life, and I'm so grateful to the author for writing it and to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I've been on a quest to find self-love, and this book was a tool in that journey. It was a guide that held my hand.

First and foremost, the 111 Self-Care Ideas to Be the Love was incredible and stunning. I resonated with so many, and I definitely want to accomplish them all, not to say I did it, but to give back to myself. It feels as though these items listed will bring any reader back to life, especially during the trials of a pandemic.

Each chapter holds a special lesson, a mantra. We learn topics from believing in your own magic to getting out of your comfort zone, letting go, and understanding that everything is energy and we, as humans, have more power than we let ourselves believe.

I appreciate each exercise because Sarah helps us connect with each lesson deeper. These lessons and activities will help create a more positive and profound mindset.

Just remember and say it, and more importantly, feel it: "I am worthy."

Sarah Prout gives readers an honest, unflinching look at her life journey to date. She details her failures, acknowledging the part she played in them, and shares what helped her break out of the destructive patterns and choices she kept falling into. She concentrated on fully working through her emotions and feelings associated with the past that she carried as baggage and started holding herself to a promise to be a person of integrity and to "Be the love" that she wanted in herself and in her relationships with others.

The book is structured into seven chapters which have different themes, but all of which encourage readers to Feel (process your feelings fully), Heal (embrace your imperfections and make peace with what is), and Reveal (open your heart to all possibilities). After sharing stories related to each particular topic, she shares what helped her most in that area, and asks journaling questions so readers can deeply work on their own related issues.

There are possible triggers surrounding miscarriages and abuse. Otherwise, this book is bound to be helpful to anyone who reads it with an open mind, a compassionate heart, and a desire to be and do better.

I especially like this from the book:

Be the change
Be the grace
Be the joy
Be the strength
Be the mirror
And, of course, Be the Love.

My thanks to St. Martin's Essentials who allowed me to access an ARC of the book via NetGalley. The book is scheduled to be published on 5/10/22. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and are freely given.

This book was a good basic text on love, specifically self love, and provided good/solid activities on how to work on loving yourself. The main areas that stuck out for me and held the most meaning includes:

* Feel, Heal and Reveal philosophy to live life with love
* Focus on listening to your heart, following your instincts and living from a place of love
* Some gentle reminders on loving ourselves fully regardless of what we consider “flaws”
* Coming from a place of vulnerability and humanness
* Prompts for journaling and self reflective deepen the context to the chapters
* Importance of setting intentions & positive affirmations (mantras) to bring positive energy and focus into your life
* Included reflective exercises, visualization activities and meditation type practices
* Comprehensive list of self care activities that were both reasonable and realistic to most

Overall, this was a comprehensive self help guide with concrete ideas on ways to bring more love and acceptance into our lives.

I appreciate the opportunity to review this eARC!
