A genuine, and uniquely moving collection. A standout poetry book this year. O
by Zeina Hashem Beck proved to be a worthwhile read and certainly a contender for top ten poetry books of the year.

Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This poetry collection is eye-opening. Zeina Hashem Beck handles really difficult topics with beauty and grace while still making them accessible.

The personal is political and this poet does an extraordinary job of showing that. I think this would be a great addition to any library collection.

This is one of those books that can only be described as "essential." Zeina Hashem Beck has written an incredible collection of poetry that taps into necessary themes and subjects, and any reader will benefit from partaking in this book.

To begin, the cover is absolutely stunning. Jaw Dropping -wow. There were specific lines for me that forced me to think retrospectively which I loved as a poetry reader, but for the most part the poems felt lengthy. I, and I hope other readers will enjoy this as well, loved that many of the poems had their translations in the original language written next to the poems in English.

I loved this collection! I've always enjoyed poetry that plays with language and discusses themes of home and exile. I thought that the collection flowed well and I read it in one sitting! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to read these poems and am excited to see what else the author publishes.

This collection was beautifully written and evoked a ton of power. I enjoyed the language use and the way the collection flowed was very organic and telling to the authors talent.
