I only made it 13% in to chapter 4 before I gave up and dnf'd the book.

The cover grabbed me and I'm an avid fantasy and sci-fi reader, but this novel didn't work for me. There were too many new words, names, strange things and mind-sharing happening at the same time. I had to read passages multiple times to get an idea of what's going on or who's who and who's saying what.
After 3 chapters I wasn't engaged or intrigued at all. Reading fantasy or sci-fi shouldn't feel like a chore. Maybe a glossary or something could be added at the beginning? Even a few sketches of what each race looks like etc. would help or even a character sheet. I can see the author had some great ideas, but the execution didn't work for me.

Thank you Netgalley for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read and review!
Truly imaginative setting and intriguing characters. Truth is I'll never look at dinosaurs the same way. ^^ It is more sci-fi than fantasy, but no less intriguing than the usual stuff I read. Everything begins with the past when dinosaurs go extinct......and here on everything goes wild. The imagination that flows into the book is unique - from the setting to the characters. It's amazing and I recommend the book! Not to mention it's not often you see such gorgeous comic-like cover that instantly grabs your attention. Congratulations to the illustrator!!!
