A great thriller - I would recommend it!

"Privacy" by Nina Sadowsky is a gripping psychological thriller that delves into the consequences of violating personal boundaries and the lengths someone will go to protect their secrets. Dr. Lana Landers, a respected therapist, finds herself in the crosshairs of a dangerous stalker targeting her patients. As Lana navigates the escalating threats, she forms an uneasy alliance with investigative journalist Cal Murray to uncover the truth behind the sinister campaign against her.

Sadowsky crafts a tense and suspenseful narrative that keeps readers guessing until the final twist. While some may find the pacing slow at times, the intricate plot and compelling characters make for a captivating read. Lana's vulnerabilities and determination to protect her patients add depth to her character, while Cal's charisma and investigative skills provide an intriguing counterbalance.

Despite its predictable elements, "Privacy" offers enough surprises and suspense to keep readers engaged. Sadowsky's adept storytelling and atmospheric writing style make this a worthy addition to the psychological thriller genre.

A well done thriller that will keep a reader on the edge of their seat. The whole book was very well done and I enjoyed every page of it,

This story is told from three perspectives, the first is Lana, who is a therapist. It opens up with a traumatizing scene of two of her clients that grab the attention of the media. Which brings us to the second perspective, Cal, an investigative journalist who is looking for another "breaking news" story. The final perspective is from someone unknown, but who the reader assumes is the individual that is causing chaos throughout the story.

My favorite character was definitely Cal, but I am not sure if that is what Nina was aiming for. I found Lana difficult to understand and frustrating at times to read from her perspective. There are additional characters throughout the book that add depth and overlapping intricacies.

I enjoyed the concept of this book, and trying to figure out the 'culprit' or the 'who-dun'it' of it all, but found the book to drag on just a bit too much. The ending was not necessarily 'obvious' but I could feel myself coming to the conclusion only a couple pages before the big reveal. Some books may have 'too much' foreshadowing, or a complete twist in plot to end a book, but I found this book's twist to be executed tastefully.

I would recommend this book for someone that enjoys a mystery, but doesn't necessarily lean towards it every time.

I love a twisty psychological thriller and if you can give me a plethora of suspects to keep my attention and keep me guessing even better. Privacy certainly left me questioning myself and everything else. So, I’d say it’s a success.

Privacy was a fun read. I liked the twists and turns, as well as the ending. It was a tad bit unbelievable at times, though.

The newfound attention sets off a chain reaction of chaos as confidential secrets about her patients are laid bare for all to see, while her own concealed past emerges from the shadows. The pressing question lingers: who is behind this relentless pursuit of revenge against her?

The book stands as a testament to skilful storytelling, replete with captivating scenes and a cast of intriguing characters. The plot is undeniably enthralling, although it necessitates a certain suspension of disbelief to fully relish it without dwelling on potential inconsistencies. While such narrative techniques can be acceptable if they culminate in a satisfying conclusion, in this case, the final outcome, while commendable, leaves several loose ends untied. This leaves room for speculation regarding the potential for a sequel.

The twists and turns this book took were great - you truly did not know who to trust throughout.

I also loved that this book had diversity and inclusion represented throughout the book.

I had just mid feelings for this read. It was ok, I knew the twist early on, but I still liked reading how it all came together. For the most part it was just ok and I pretty much figured out the twist fairly early. However I did like how it unfolded at the end.

Dr. Landers is a marriage therapist and has a patient that holds his wife hostage. She decides to go to the scene to see if she can help. She is successful at getting things deescalated, but she becomes famous because of it. She has some folks that are not happy with her sudden fame and they watch her and it turns into a criminal situation.

A twisty psychological thriller...Therapist Dr. Laina Landers's patients know that their sessions and inner-most secrets are supposed to be private. Doctor/patient confidentiality is one of the most important aspects of not only regular doctors by therapy also. When Laina is placed in the spotlight after saving a patient, her patients start receiving "gifts" anonymously that are very obviously related to the reasons they're seeing Laina for. Notes with the phrase "watching you" on them, Laina fears someone has access to all her files and is watching her patients. A news reporter Cal, New to the area, was the first journalist on the scene when Laina helped her patient. Cal is determined not only to protect Laina but to also investigate who is behind these threats. Cal is on the brink of his big break of the investigation but at what cost? Can he save everyone? Fast-paced and easy read with a fun premise. I especially liked the chapters with the therapy sessions where you had to try and find out who was in the session.

Nothing crazy earth shattering from this book but I did enjoy it.

Absolutely fantastic story once again from this talented author. Kept me binge reading. I couldn’t help trying to guess what would happen next.

Nina Sadowsky's books are always a treat! Privacy is such a great one, and it's one of my favorites of hers. It is an original thriller with amazing twists.

What a wacky bunch of characters.
Starting with Laina, the main character and world's worst therapist. I mean, the WORST.
Then her boyfriend, the reporter who takes every drama from Laina's life and attempts to turn it into a story. He is presented as a really good guy, but my trust in him would have evaporated quickly.

Some great things about the book: It's set in actual present times, meaning mentions of hand sanitizer, outdoor dining, and past rough quarantines are touched on, not focused on, but part of everyday life. There is a plethora of race and nationalities here, as it is in San Diego, with some genuine unusual names and a trans side-character who is just an everyday person.

I can't talk much about the story without giving spoilers, so I'll just say this was a fun read that really kept my attention, and although I could not fathom some character reactions, it was all explained at the end. It's a bit over the top but it was FUN (in a violent mystery way) and kept me guessing and changing my mind until I was honestly surprised at the end.

I enjoyed this tense, twisty, psychological thriller. It has been on my shelf for way too long and I'm not sure why it took so long for me to finally read it. I enjoyed it and found it to be a quick read that kept my interest. My favorite character was Cal, the journalist. This isn't award winning prose, but I found it to be a fun thriller / romantic suspense. The final twist was a surprise to me, maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention? But I didn't see it coming. Recommend to fans of easy to read thrillers. I'll be reading more Nina Sadowsky books in the future!

This was an interesting take on therapist/patients relationships! I found myself on the edge of my seat a few times and really enjoyed reading about all of the characters and trying to figure out who was behind it all. It felt a little too long for me, but otherwise was a great read.
