This was a great read. It had a very strong female who at times showed weakness, when needed. Liam is a very strong young man who is still trying to find his way, into the role he will take on, when his father passes. I loved how this book involved such a large family with such interesting character. They all has so much love for each other and I am sure their books were just as good as this one. This book was so fun! It has everything you want in a highland romance with Viking history also weaved it. The adventure, the danger, and the romance were all perfectly combined to make this a quick and enjoyable read. It also helps that the main characters are allowed to grow into loving each other - they have an instant connection, but they both need time with each other to learn what they really want for their futures and this brings the story to a realistic level. The villain was definitely scary and one especially fraught sequence where Elene and her siblings are hiding from him in barrels in the sea was very well done.

This was my first Celeste Barclay book and I'm excited to read more from her!

Sweet and spicy, with one of the more affable heroes and daring heroines I’d seen in a while. Can’t wait to read more from this author
