This was a nice easy read, that took me back to my trip to Positano and made me wish to go again. It was an easy going romance, a pretty typical storyline that I enjoyed. Marci heads to Positano to close up her Godfather, Richard's antique shop and prepare the contents for shipping. She is put up at a local inn and treated like family by the owners and their staff as they are all very close with Richard who is turns out is an investor in the business. Young, handsome Nico greets her at the airport and is assigned to come to her aide if she requires anything, he is the son of the owner and she quickly starts to fall for him over late night dinners. The food all sounded so amazing and the scenery stunning. No real shocking surprises in the storyline but the enjoyable characters made this a worthwhile read.

This author writes stories that take you on a journey in your mind, this book carried me away and had me lookng at my vacation photos. While this was not my favourite book by this author, I will definitely be on the lookout for this author's next books.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it definitely had a feel good factor. I have to say though, if I had seen the book on a shelf, neither the title nor the picture would have made me want to pick it up. This is a great summer/holiday read and has depth in both the plot and the characters recommended.

A lovely romantic escapist read with vibrant characters and vividly described settings that let the reader enjoy the Italian location. I love the family relationships and the friendships that draw Marci into their lives. There is an element of mystery and secrets that give it an extra dimension. Believable characters and gentle romance make this the perfect read for a Summer afternoon.

I thought this was a fantastic read! I'm gearing up for a trip to Europe, and I could easily close my eyes and imagine myself in these locations already. Wonderful descriptions, I loved the characters, I thought the story was really well written. Can't wait for what Lucy Coleman does next!

I have just finished this latest instalment from Lucy Coleman, and but she didn’t disappoint, what a throughly fabulous read, heartfelt and beautiful.

I love the characters in this novel, being transported to tue beautiful sunshine following the journey of Richard, Nico & Marni.

I would recommend this to all my friends.

Antiques, delicious food and family history.
All skilfully blended by this talented author, brilliantly so

This was a lovely book to read and I read it very quickly.

It was very easy to become invested in Marci's life, past, present and future. She is stuck working in her family business and is asked to sort out her godfather's (Richard) business in Positano. When you start reading the book, you have no idea where it will take you and want to stand next to her (and latterly, her new friend, Olivia) as they dig into the boxes and Richard's history and secrets come to the forefront.

This is a book you need to read sitting on the Amalfi coast, being inspired by the Italian foods and sights as Marci herself discovers them.

Have to say, one of my favourite parts of this book was the Epilogue (from Richard's point of view) - where you find out some more why's behind what Marci finds.

The author provides many lovely descriptions of the area - the colours, aromas, foods, the scenery, even the freshness of the sea air - giving readers the feeling they are there with Marci, Nico and family and friends. She twists friendship, romance and mystery into an interesting read, albeit that I guessed the final twist about halfway through the book. There were a few times when I felt as though there were bits of the narrative were missing, such as when Marci arrived and was expected to meet everyone at the hotel at lunch and the next sentence is 'If I thought that the reception I received when I arrived at lunchtime was full-on, this evening eclipses that'. There were also a few occasions when we were told something twice, such as Guilia being moody / frosty. Overall this book is a good summer read: interesting story, realistic characters nice setting and a lovely romance.

A beautiful story with some lovely threads running through it and differing sub stories bringing them to where they are at that point. Still leaving you wanting more though

Overall, an enjoyable read, though not my favourite book by Lucy Coleman. I think it would benefit from having another edit, with its overlong descriptions, some of which I skim read in order to get to some action. I didn't feel all that much emotion coming from Marci, despite her being described as "heartbroken" by a past love. I didn't feel all that much emotion coming from her with regards to her new love either. I also thought drama was hinted at where there wasn't really any. In fact, the main twist was revealed in the epilogue, which for me, read like an afterthought. I loved some of the scenic descriptions and the plot surrounding Marci sorting out her godfather's antiques was interesting, though again, overlong descriptions of the work she was doing could have been cut. I felt there was some loose ends, namely Marci's relationship with her stepfather, and indeed, her mother's own relationship with her husband. He didn't come across very well! This is a beautiful story, sometimes it is like a cosy mystery story. With twists, turns and secrets to be kept. Marci goes to Positano to clear her Godfathers home and Antiques shop. He has suddenly got married and now on his honeymoon. Marci along with her brother Guy and mother run there own antiques business which her late father began. When she arrives in Italy, Nico meets her at the airport (she comments about the heat meeting her as she comes out of the airport building as it 'hit' her I felt the same a few years ago when I flew to Milan as I got off the plane) Her Godfather had organized Nico to meet her, Marci thought he was just a taxi driver. It is not until she gets to Positano that she finds out he is not the taxi driver she thought, but the son of the hotel owner. As time moves on Marci meets all the 'family' and grows closer to Nico.........

If you like Italian food, you will love the description's that Lucy gives. I do not like Italian Food myself, but it obvious Lucy does. I also liked all the descriptions of the area, it really took me back.

By the end of the book, all the secrets etc are revealed. It certainly keeps you guessing. It is also pleasing that there was no bad language either

This was such a lovely book to read, I got sucked in straight away and got caught up with the story. Not having read much of Lucy Coleman’s books I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by this one so, it won’t be my last. This is my first novel by Lucy Coleman.
From the blurb I thought this book was about romance, but now I think is more about life and ones journey.
In most of the book, Marci thinks about her life and how traveling to Positano in Italy, to help her godfather, will help her to change her view of life, work and dreams.
It's a nice story, a little bit forced at the end, but a nice trip to Italy, with description of delicious food and beautiful views of the Amafi coast.
A very recommended reading for the summer.

A fairly enjoyable light read to escape to the sun in Positano on the Italian Amalfi Coast. A good plot with a good set of characters however it was all somewhat predictable. Good atmospheric descriptions of Positano that one can almost feel the place plus the sun's warmth. Some bits dragged a bit and I found other parts jumped about as I kept thinking I'd missed something, however, despite this and the predictability of the romance within, it makes a good holiday read.

Marci is in Italy to sort out things for her godfather. While she is there she meets Nico. Secrets are being kept all around them, so will this change how everything works out for them?
A great setting for a book!

A scintillating holiday read. Make sure this is in your Spring/ Summer stack. After her godfather marries suddenly and secretly to Angel, Marci finds herself flying to his long-time home in Positano to pack up and sell his antique business while he honeymoons in Thailand. She has worked tirelessly for the family antiques business in the UK and is chronically single, so this is her opportunity to mix a Summer of sunshine with some work. She soon discovers the treasure trove is a bigger job that first envisioned and she enlists the help of Nico, local restaurateur and friend of her godfather Richard. Soon it has not just the hard work and sunshine that has things hotting up in Positano! However, they unearth a major secret amongst Richards treasure that threatens to ruin not just their Summer, but others' too. A lighthearted and loving read full of the most gorgeous foods and amazing scenery. It almost felt like I was basking under the lemon and olive groves of Positano as I read. I usually like Lucy Coleman's book but I wasn't a fan of this one.
I didn't like Marc and found the romance a bit too forced. It was an entertaining read but also a bit too predictable.
