This is a great audiobook. The narration, performed by a man and a woman, is easy to follow and keeps the listener interested in the story. The female's imitation of the male voice is very good, also.

The story is incredibly compelling. What would you do if your husband had a huge secret - a darkness that is completely unacceptable in any civilized society? And when his secret becomes your secret, when that darkness binds you together and somehow enhances your life together but also destroys it, how much of his darkness is now yours to carry forever?

This is not a standalone book, however, and I wish I would have read the first book in the series prior to listening to this.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

Well, that has escalated quickly.

The marriage of Ainsley and Peter came to a crossroads. Do they go their separate ways or stay together and work on their problems. In the end, they choose love and family and come to an arrangement. Unfortunately one of them could not hold the end of their bargain and everything come crashing down in a ghastly and bloody manner.

How come am I discovering Kiersten Modglin's writing so late in my reading game? This book is disturbing, yet so thrilling. I love the pace and baldness of the plot. Please excuse me while I am running to the shop for a fresh bottle of wine to help me cozy up with the first book of this amazing sequel.

Thank you NetGalley and Kiersten Modglin for a free and advanced copy of this astonishing book.

The Amendment is a follow up to a previous book called The Arrangement. The books are about two very dark couples that find very troubling ways to work through their problems. Written in a way that pulls readers in and keeps them guessing till the end is a very good thriller
I gave this 3 stars only because it seemed unrealistic to me. However some may not be concerned with that and enjoy the entertainment of the thrilling aspect of the story.

I was super excited to see that there was a sequel to The Arrangement, and it didn’t disappoint. It flowed nicely as a next step in the storyline of the characters- with a few twists along the way. I love that it potentially left room for another book, excited to read more from Kiersten!

After requesting this title from Netgalley, I realized it was a sequel to "The Arrangement". Even though I didn't read the story before this one, I was able to jump write in to this series. I found this story very intriguing. This book was quite a thrill ride. The plot was crazy and just got crazier! The premise is a married couple who have a BIG secret and how that effects EVERYTHING. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC of this book. I will be reading more by this author.

As a huge Kiersten Modglin fan, and a fan of the book The Arrangement, I couldn’t wait to read this one. I really enjoyed this book, but I had a little trouble getting into it for reason. If you have this issue, please stick it out because it’s worth it. The ending to this book was everything, which makes sense because the author is the queen of twists! Definitely recommend this one.

This author provided a very thrilling sequel in The Arrangement series. I loved the alternate timelines that kinda had me fumbling through the story. One minute I thought this timeline was present day come to find out it was the past. The second I thought I knew what was gonna happen I was proven wrong. I think this authors choices to do an ambiguous ending was great! I loved the dwindling syspense I was left with. I look forward to hopefully haveing a third installment.

Reviewing
The Amendment
By Keirsten Modglin

Welcome back to the dark and deceitful world of Peter and Ainsley. Readers were introduced to this dysfunctional duo in Kiersten Modglin’s #1 selling domestic thriller The Arrangement. I highly recommend reading book one before diving into The Amendment.

While not as suspenseful or thrilling as book one The Amendment still offers plenty of eye popping and unsettling moments that will leave readers feeling uncomfortable at best. In true Modglin fashion the last 30% of this book is a literary hurricane that will leave readers desperate for more!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 morbid stars for a thrilling sequel with America’s darkest couple. Rated R because, well…….. @kierstenmodglinauthor ha ha ha
Love ya girl!

Buckle Up.....this one is a WILD ride! 5 glowing STARS from me! Let me start by saying you must read The Arrangement first.

I'm not sure how it's possible, but I loved The Amendment even more than The Arrangement and that one earned 5 STARS from me. Usually with series or sequels there is a bit of a let down for me and I think it's because you come to love the characters and perhaps you have your own ideas of where the story will continue, but with this one...OH MY GOSH! I could NEVER have predicted how this one would go and I'm once again singing Modglin's praises.

It's no surprise that I am a fan of Kiersten Modglin's books. No, I have not given all of them 5 STARS so that was well earned with this series. I absolutely love Kiersten Modglin's writing style. I'm always in awe of where she comes up with these ideas and her shocking twists!

I'm not a fan of spoilers, but once you read The Amendment you pick right up with Ainsley and Peter. Modglin's created not 1, but 2 crazy characters:-) How can one top the other? Ainsley and Peter are not shy trying to outdo one another! It's exciting to see how their marriage, careers, family....secrets...and their lies are doing!
Secrets are a thing of the past or are they?

With every arrangement comes an amendment...now the real question is will there be a book #3? I'm ready and waiting!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this audiobook.

Narrators: 5 STARS
Sarah Mollo-Christenen and George Newbern

Kiersten Modglin has done it yet again with an equality shocking and devious sequel to The Arrangement. In this book Ainsley and Peter attempt to address their martial issues with the help of a therapist, but Ainsley is still worried about Peter's lies and trust issues. Peter seems to develop some extra marital issues again. While all of this is going a a new plot is reveals with such a huge twist just as the first book.

I really cannot say more about this book without giving it away. But suffice to say I did not see much of this coming. Just when I thought I had one part worked out I was proved wrong, it was something else completely. This book has a five start rating form me. I loved the surprise plot and the way the book ended left it open for a third book. I loved the narration and how it went from Ainsley's point of view to Peter's.

Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the great advance listen.

Kiersten Modglin's byline should be, "you won't see this one coming".

A dual POV, twisty and turny book about the attempts to save Peter and Ainsley's marriage after all of their secrets have been exposed has left me wanting to listen to all of her books.

I received an audiobook ARC, and as per usual, it did not disappoint. Having the competing narrators tell each story was fantastic. I can say they were balanced equally as one was not more enticing than the other.

I will also never look at the sport of fencing the same ever again. Such a creative term for murder.

Title: The Amendment
Author: Kiersten Modglin
Rating: 5/5 Stars.

Just when I think it was not humanly possible for KMod to top The Arrangment, she went “Hold my beer”. WOW, this book was incredible. I have no idea how she does it, how every book of hers I reads blows me away. The Amendment was no different, I was left speechless. This was even better than the first with so many twists that I almost got whiplash.

Once again this story is told from the dual points of view of Ainsley and Peter. I love being able to hear both sides of the story, to see what each of the characters is thinking about the situation at hand. I must say, I am pretty sure Ainsley and Peter have become one of my favorite couples. They are absolutely insane and I am here for it. Their manipulation of one another I like a train wreck and I cannot stop watching (well in this case reading). I cannot get enough of them.

The twists in this one is just as good if not better than the ones in the first book. I really didn’t see a lot of it coming. The ending was absolutely mind blowing - it was the best ending. I seriously was so pumped for it, I never saw that coming, and I had all the goosebumps!

I buddy read this one with once again a few of my favorite humans - @erika @mad and @rachel and if only I could show you the messages of us going wild throughout the entire read. It was awesome.

I was lucky enough to be able to listen to this via audio as well as read the physical copy thanks to @netgal. The audio was incredible, I love the narrators of Peter and Ainsley, they played the parts perfectly.

The Amendment comes out 2/1 and I highly suggest everyone reads this domestic thriller series because there is seriously nothing else out there thats like it. I loved this series, these characters and I know I will reread these again at some point.

This is the second book in Modglin’s arrangement series. The twists continue and you will again be unable to put it down. Peter and Ainsley are struggling to make their marriage work, as was the case in book one. They agreed to no more secrets but can they comply with the rule?

They meet up with a therapist, Joanna. We discover how Peter was influenced by a college roommate and friend. The Amendment to their arrangement from book one where they can sleep with other people is made, but I won’t reveal it here. You will have to read book one first.

Thank you to @netgalley and @dreamscapemedia for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Ready for book 3 please. These two are wild. 😜

Wow! I enjoyed the first book (The Arrangement) but I have to say Kiersten came swinging with this follow up. The characters are just as devious. The book is fast paced and twisty. A definite recommend.
The narrators did a fabulous job!

First off, I had no idea that this was a sequel and it didn’t really seem to take away from the story. I received the audiobook version and having the two narrators really worked for the story as it was told from each point of view. Even when one was recounting the story of the other, the change in voice was great! The story was shocking and kept me wanting more even after the last word was spoken. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more shocking, things turned. The matter of fact way that the actions in this book are done are so crazy. Not only did the storyline not disappoint but the narrators were amazing! Would definitely recommend both! Thank you netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

The fun from 'The Arrangement' just continues on in this story and my nagging problem with the 'Seth' incident in the first story was addressed. Listening to this audio book was like watching an episode of 'Dexter' except this book is like Mr. and Mrs. Dexter. It certainly was fun and enjoyable but just a little unrealistic, which was fine with me.

This was a a very fun ride! You can't help but get sucked into the story and just watch this train wreck unfold! A very solid sequel that has all twists and turns you could ask for!

Yep, this book was about as close to perfection as you can get. The plot was incredible, the characters were both lovable and hateable, and the ending gave me full body chills.

Yes! We are back in the messed up world of Ainsley and Peter. At the conclusion of the Arrangement, they have formed a tentative agreement, and are committed to a new normal now that everyone's secrets are out in the open. Did the arrangement bring them closer? Help them refocus on their marriage? That's where we pick back up.

If you haven't read the Arrangement, you must stop. Do not pass go until you have book 1 under your belt. This is the rule for all series, but this one in particular requires you to have read and remembered the first book. In fact I went back and read the last few chapters again, just so the ending was fresh in my mind.

This is a quick read, or listen, and you won't want to stop! The audio version is easy to listen to, and goes back between Peter and Ainsley's points of view. Since the arrangement needs a few adjustments, we now have an amendment to the agreement. How far do you go in order to protect to continue the with your idyllic family life? Probably not as far Ainsley! Mama Bear and loving, supportive wife of the year is going to her.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced copy of the audio book in exchange for an honest review. I can't wait for Kiersten's next book!

Thank you too netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read and review this book honestly.

This is the second book of the series and after reading both, you will definitely need to read the first installment before starting in on this one. Basically this can’t easily be read as a stand-alone. The story itself was good and intriguing. The characters were interesting and fairly consistent in how they’ve been described though a few times their personality seemed a little different. This was a dual narrator but I felt should only have been one. The male voice has an annoying inconsistent accent and during dialogue pieces sounded whiny and annoying. The woman narrator was better, especially the dialogue between different people but there was something grating to me about her voice as well. Overall I enjoyed the book, but the first one was hands down better, and if I were to read it again I would not go the audiobook route next time.
