Peter and Ainsley are back in this sequel to The Arrangement. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading it, I would strongly suggest starting with the first book otherwise this sequel won’t make a lot of sense.

This was a short read. Only 5 hours or so in the audio version. Same narrators who once again hit it out of the park. I loved the Dexter meets My Lovely Wife storytelling. And as always, this author manages to throw in a couple of twists that sent my head spinning.

The Amendment is just as captivating, jaw-dropping, and addictive as The Arrangement. I won't spoil anything so you can experience it as the author intended it. Be warned … you are going to want to read this all at once, so set aside some time!

I chose the audiobook version of The Amendment. Listening to George Newbern and Sarah Mollo-Christensen's familiar voices again, I was thrust right back into Ainsley and Peter's world as they try to deal with the consequences of their arrangement. George Newbern has a great voice. The narration of George Newbern draws you into each twist and turn of this story. Sarah Mollo-Christensen captures Ainsley's controlling, borderline manipulative character perfectly. Your enjoyment of The Amendment from the beginning till its mind-blowing conclusion will be enhanced by these great narrators.

The Arrangement was my favorite book of 2021 and I was beyond excited when I learned there was going to be a sequel to it. This sequel picks up where The Arrangement leaves off. All the secrets have been exposed (or have they?) and now the couple is trying to adapt to a new normal. Can Peter continue his salacious crazy life with Ainsley knowing everything and can Ainsley continue her marriage knowing all she knows? And what about this blast from the past bringing new dangerous drama to the couple?

Kiersten Modglin, the queen of thrillers and last-minute twists, did it again. I hated for the book to end and would LOVE to see it made into a Netflix mini-series. I read this book in less than 12 hours, and in true KMod fashion those last few minutes made me shake my head and chuckle at the same time. I cannot wait to read the next KMod book and maybe, just maybe, it will be the 3rd installment in this series…or is that just wishful thinking.

They’re back! Peter and Ainsley have returned to continue working on their “troubled” marriage. This time they opt for marriage counseling and their therapist is in for a crazy and wild ride!

The Arrangement was my first book by #kmod and I was an instant fan! When I saw the sequel, I’ll admit I had my doubts. The Arrangement was soooooo good! But this author has an incredible and twisted imagination. The sequel was amazing and I’m reading for more.

Peter’s secrets are as dark as they come. He could give Dexter a run for his money. Let this be a lesson. Make sure you know the deep, dark secrets of the person you want to spend the rest of your life with!

Kiersten Modglin has quickly become an author I really enjoy! I loved The Arrangement, so I was beyond excited when I saw it had a Part 2… (and may the cat and mouse games continue in a 3rd installment - I hope).

The story itself is a 5-star story… But the reason I gave it only 4 stars is I feel this is borderline bare-bones and could use some fleshing out… there were a few times where I thought “How did that happen?” (Thinking I missed something). But going back in the book, I couldn’t find the answer. I enjoy the characters and the games they play, so I would have been very happy with a longer novel with more details.

The pace of the story was quick and I did not guess the twist at the end (though I think I should have LOL). All-in-all, I enjoy this series and hope for another!

(Not in my goodreads review due to potential spoiler).. One such example of “How did that happen?” was when Ainsley was talking to coach Chris and she showed him the photo of his naughty parts… I didn’t understand how she got it? I went back and re-listened to Ainsley’s prior chapter in case I missed it, but couldn’t find it. If the coach only sent the pics to his students, I can’t picture Ainsley getting the pictures from the kids… so it feels like she just magically had the picture on her phone…

There were a few moments where I was confused, but that’s the one that sticks out to me the most… I may have missed it and just couldn’t find it afterwards… but I still feel the story could use a little more supporting detail to the story… because it’s a great story! :)

The Amendment is the follow up sequel to The Arrangement. We continue our story with Ainsley and Peter. A couple who decided to spark their stale marriage by arranging to have a date with someone else every week. This picks up right where the first left off. Ainsley and Peter are working to make their marriage work with all their differences. This time Ainsley wants in and Peter is seeming to be hesitate. Where does it leave our beloved couple? In a fight of wits.

I simply could not get enough! While I do feel like a subplot or two could have been thrown out to really flush out a central story and backstory I really enjoyed this sequel. I have a hard time getting into series but I really hope this story continues and gives us the delicious twists and turns we have come to love.

WOW!! I really don't know how Kiersten Modglin comes up with these twisty, mind-blowing ideas, but she is a thriller genius for sure.

This book was just as crazy as the arrangement, with new characters introduced that we creepy and perfect for the story. I did think Peter was a little annoying in this story though. Ainsley new everything about him, so why keep small things that were way less intense from her?? Unless that was part of the thrill?? Either way, Ainsley was a badass in this book !! She not only proved herself to be a devoted wife and mother, but an exquisite partner in crime. LOVED HER! The narrators of the audiobook were perfect and the same as the arrangement, which really made the story even better. I can't wait to see what Kiersten has up her sleeve next.

The Arrangement was probably my favorite book of 2021 and the sequel did not disappoint! The audiobook was short and sweet. The narrators totally nailed it again. The plot twists at the end get me every time! I hope theres a third book in the future!

The book picks up pretty much where the first book ended. Their secrets now exposed, Peter and Ainsley attempt to move on from what transpired and repair the damage.

However, it isn’t long before new problems arise. The past comes back to haunt them threatening to crumble their already rocky relationship. Peter and Ainsley’s marriage is put to the test again and they will do anything to keep their secrets from being revealed.

I enjoyed the crazy, messed up ride that was “The Arrangement” and was intrigued when I heard there would be another book in the series. This installment took place soon after where we left off. I liked the new twists and turns introduced in the book itself but did get tired of the same back and forth dynamic between Annie and Pete. That being said, Kiersten Modglin is the queen of the jaw dropping ending and this one was no different!
