Abbie and Matt have been together for twenty years and she is wondering if she still loves him. At the advice of her friends, she attempts to recreate moments of significance or fun in their relationship in order to bring back their spark. This novel is told through dual timelines, the present and the past events of their relationship. As you read through this novel and experience Abbie and Matt's relationship in the present (and mourn what they lost), it is unclear as a reader what the outcome will be in the end.

I had difficulty putting this book down. I had to see it through. However, I flipped through the scenes with Abbie's work. Some provided some comedy, but there was a chapter about the new office building that I almost completely skipped. I'm not completely sold on the title, as I don't feel that there was ever an interaction between the two that even came close to showing hatred. The worst fight in the book wasn't even really a fight. It just resulted in Abbie going home alone from a trip and Matt taking a few days to think. Finally, I felt the last chapter should not have been the end. I think the events in the final moments help wrap it up nicely, but it felt abrupt. Maybe an epilogue for 6 months to a year later?

All in all, a great book! Thanks to Net Galley and Bookouture for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
