Cute, lighthearted, and classy. I loved the subtle nod to The Little Mermaid and inclusion of dogs. Everything you’d expect from a Teri Wilson novel.

I really enjoyed this book, overall I thought it was a solid contemporary fiction. I’m not sure if romance is a proper genre label for this book as that is not really a main plot point of the book but it definitely at a minimum is a subgenre for the novel. I really loved the characters, especially Ursula the dog, who wouldn’t love a Cocker Spaniel puppy that brings two unlikely people together.

I really connected to both Molly and Max and loved both of them. Molly has been working at the local aquarium as a Mermaid and overall coordinator of their fundraising team with her dog Ursula. Max moves back to Turtle Beach to take over as head of the aquarium when his Grandfather steps down to give the aquarium a better chance at surviving. Max is trying to figure out how to cut costs and save the aquarium, when he fires Molly on his first day as the head of the aquarium causing massive tensions between them after she saved his life. As the story progresses Molly and Max keep having to work together to save the aquarium while trying to ignore their increasing feelings for each other.

I loved the storyline but I would have loved to see a bit more of the aquarium as that's what the book is mainly about. I thought the idea of training a team of dogs to sniff out turtle egg nests was amazing and would have loved to see a bit more of that also. My favorite scene was the Sandfest scene as it was hilarious and I didn’t see it coming.

The dogs are my favorite part of this book other than the two main characters, I loved how much of a personality each dog seemed to have despite not having dialogue. I loved how they didn’t feel like they were just there because dogs are a common thing in the real world. The town truly felt like it depended on the dogs and I loved it.

This book is an amazing summer read with dogs, turtles, tension, and a dash of romance, perfect for a beach read or a read by the pool.

I enjoyed this book and I will say I did like it it a bit better than the first book of this series, A Spot of Trouble. So we meet Molly Prince who is absolutely sure she's done with dating until we meet the new guy in town, marine biologist Max Miller. I really liked both of these characters; very much more than the hero/heroine in the first book. I will say that this one turning out to be somewhat of an enemies to lover trope didn't sit well with me only because the first book was of the same variety and I feel like the author could have switched it up a bit. Other then that I enjoyed returning to Turtle Beach and can't wait for the next installment (hope there will be one).

Brief Synopsis:
Molly is a mermaid who works at an aquarium in North Carolina. She has a little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Ursula who is her sidekick and goes everywhere with her. Max moves into town to take over the aquarium from his uncle. Molly and Max seem instantly attracted to each other but Max refuses to take Molly seriously and they do not see eye to eye at all.

My Thoughts:
- I love Cavalier King Charles Spaniels! I have one named Beans! Molly’s dog Ursula was such an important part of the book!
- I did not really connect with Molly’s character and Max was so rude to her it turned me off of their love story which is why I only gave it three stars
- I really enjoyed all the sea turtle research that the book discussed and learning some about them and other marine creatures at the aquarium
-Overall if you love a quick cute romcom with an adorable little dog as one of the important characters then this book is for you!

I love dogs and I was reeled on by the dog on the cover. It was a fun read overall!

Sweet, funny and full of shenanigans, A Line in the Sand is simply a cute read.

With a unique amalgam of interesting and colorful characters, a great storyline and all the sea creature jokes, this book is bound to put a smile on your face.
Molly's sparkly personality (and sea shell bustier) are the perfect balance to Max's serious and analytical tendencies proving that some mermaid magic can brighten up even the grumpiest of hearts.
Throw in some meddlesome octogenarians, ALL THE PUPPIES, a hunky sand sculpture and of course, cupcakes and sea turtles and you get a clean, fun and entertaining read, perfect for a day on the beach.

Very different than what I expected but super cute. I loved the dog and the summery/ spring plot. I really think a lot of people will love this one. Highly recommend for this time of year

This was such a cute and quick romance! I wish I would have been reading this on a beach. It only took me a few hours to read the whole book and I read it all in one sitting!

I LOVED the sub plot of the aquarium and I loved the dog beach in this. The characters could have had a little more development, or explanation of development, but overall this was a great romance book.

The only problem is that Max had no idea how much Molly had done for the aquarium, so getting her back will be difficult.

Since they live in a small town, news always circulates quickly. Especially after Max fires Molly and soon earns a reputation as a dog hater. But that's fine because Max figures out his shit. Well, not without the assistance of "Charlie's Angel," a group of charming senior citizens. I adore it when elderly people assist these young people in falling in love.

Molly Prince is a mermaid for the local aquarium and her adorable puppy Ursula plays the part of a loyal lobster. Max Miller is a Marine Biologist who has moved home to take over the family's failing aquarium. After learning Molly is a mermaid at his aquarium he acts quickly. By firing her. When the puppy Ursula brings the two back together over a hurt sea turtle, can they work together and fight off the attraction at the same time?

I loved this book! Ursula was defiantly my favorite character. Enemies to lovers is an all-time favorite and this was perfect! This is a fantastic read and I will absolutely recommend it to family and friends.

Molly Prince is done with dating! She has a job she loves at the local aquarium/turtle hospital and a puppy who loves her. When Max Miller, the new aquarium director, takes over they instantly have a love/hate relationship.

A Line in the Sand is the perfect mix of romance and comedy. There’s a little drama but plenty of sass. The banter between Molly and Max is delightful. The real stars of this book are the “Charlie’s Angels” of the local senior center. Who doesn’t love some meddling but sweet and well meaning matchmakers?

While this is the second book in the Turtle Beach series, I had no problem reading it as a stand alone. This is the first book that I have read from author Teri Wilson but I would like to go back and read the first in this series in the future.

This was a sweet, simple and quick read. It's about Max Miller, a marine biologist who quit his job in the city and decided to help his uncle with an aquarium after his retirement. He meets Molly Prince- a jovial and street smart girl who works as a literal mermaid in the aquarium and has lots of knowledge about how things run around at their workplace. Now he needs her help to raise funds to save the sinking aquarium but the problem is, he has already screwed up his chances by firing her and her cute little puppy. Overall, the book was nice with a vibrant feel but the over description of things and boring conversations with some side characters made me skim through a lot of scenes. I wasn't so invested into the side characters tbh, I wanted to see more of Max & Molly together. The last few chapters were quite cute but the lack of epilogue disappointed me.

I LOVED this book! This series is so adorable and just so much fun. I need another book in the series (maybe the doctor from the ER scene???). It was fun and just an overall cute and easy read. I do think there should have been more scenes with the two of the characters together and getting to know each other. I feel like we only broke the surface and could have gone into his parent’s divorce and her bad experience with her ex. I feel like it was touched on and then brushed aside. However, still enjoyed reading it.

Having read two other Teri Wilson's books before, I was pretty excited to dive into A Line In the Sand (did ya get it? Dive? Because the MC is a mermaid!). This rom-com is the second in a series, although each book functions as a standalone, which takes place on a cute little island and features a grump/sunshine trope.

Molly is the mermaid at the local aquarium, and has sworn off love after a disastrous relationship with a tourist the previous year. She has decided to devote her heart to her newly adopted puppy, Ursula, instead. In comes in Max, the nephew of the previous aquarium's director who has come to the island to take over for his uncle. As is necessary, Max and Molly immediately get off on the wrong foot, and Molly decides to declare an island-wide war against the grumpy new scientist. It doesn't help that Max quickly finds out that Molly is an asset, rather than an unnecessary decoration, and that they share a certain chemistry.

While I enjoyed the book (particularly because I love an island setting and the grumpy/sunshine trope), I really struggled with the romance. Max never really redeemed himself for his actions, at least in my eyes, and it was therefore hard for me to really root for the couple to get together at the end. I'm still interested in reading more books in this series, but felt this wasn't the strongest showing.

I signed up for an ARC of A Line in the Sand by Teri Wilson because I really like her books, and there was a dog. I hadn't realized this was book 2 of the Turtle Beach series until Sprinkles made a cameo. Then I was like, wait! I know these characters! Hooray!

You can read A Line in the Sand as a standalone, but book 1, A Spot of Trouble, was so fun! You don't want to miss it.

I love Teri Wilson's books because they are fun, flirty, happy, and they usually have dogs. Molly, Max, and Ursula are spectacular! Like all good stories there is tension, but the way Teri Wilson writes tension just doesn't feel as nerve-wracking to me. It has a bit of lightness to it still. And I love that!

Of course we get a happily ever after, the senior center inhabitants wouldn't have it any other way!

This was a super cute and adorable book it had dogs, mermaids, cupcakes and romance what more could you ask for. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is that the last couple of chapters dulled out for me. It was hard to get through them

The plot was so engaging and story seemed nice. This was a cute read for me. I highly recommend it to everyone to pick it up when it's out.

A sweet comedy full of fun and romance between a Biologist and a young lady who works as mermaid at the aquarium who shares love for sea animals. A delightful and compelling narrative for the summer vibes. Good Job!
